Kabel-TV, trådlöst internet, central värme och luft ger moderna bekvämligheter till en plats som harkens tillbaka till en försvunnen era som väntar på dig vid floden.

Förbered dina favoritmåltider i vårt fullt utrustade kök eller grill upp dina specialiteter för att servera utomhus på däck eller vid köksbordet. Koppla av på däck och se floden rinna över klipporna precis utanför skärmdörren. Luta dig i sovrummet till ljudet och utsikten över det försiktigt skalande vattnet. The pictures don't do it justice. The screened porch right on the riverbank is a dream. You can hear the gentle sounds of the river through the bedroom windows. The total darkness after lights out is such a treat compared to the light pollution of the city. The location is close enough to go into town for a meal but far enough away to feel like another world.

This cabin was Perfect for a family of four.•I would suggest downloading Jane’s instructions beforehand as cell service might be limited (zero with AT&T).•Once we connected to the house WIFI, lack a reception was a non-issue with WIFI calling. The service was able to handle 4 streaming devices at once with no lag.The highlight of the cabin was the river. We spent most of our time wading in the river. The host, Jane, is readily available and responsive, typically answering questions within 20-30 minutes. We took advantage of Amicalola Falls State Park, Downtown Blue Ridge, Downtown Ellijay.

Peaceful with natural surroundings

The river is absolutely peaceful with natural surroundings. The cabin is perfect with the sound of the river able to be heard within the cabin. We have stayed here many times and hope to return.

Get a way

The cabin was right on the river. It was so relaxing to sit on screened in porch and listen to the river. The cabin was very clean and well stocked. Would highly recommend.

This is an excellent fishing cabin. The cabin furnishings are a little outdated and the cabin has a slight musty smell. If you like to watch TV in bed at night, then this cabin may not be for you. The back porch overlooking the river is relaxing. Excellent location, excellent fishing. Lacking comfort. Also, the cabin is full of warnings of “what not to do” and threats of losing the deposit that sets a “tone” that does not convey hospitality. I feel there are ways to provide that information to your guests and still remain hospitable. We love the Cartecay River but we probably would not choose this property again due to the lack of comfortable furnishings and the tone set by the owner with the warnings,

The getaway we needed

The cabin was just what we needed to relax away from city noise and just listen to the river and birds. It was very clean and had everything we needed for a worry free weekend. I had to book it again soon.

Relaxed on the river-perfect

Stayed for 2 nights with my sister. Spent hours sitting by the river. Nice screened in porch. Everything you need for a comfy visit. Close to hiking. Quiet and peaceful. Not fancy but who cares. River sounds are so lovely. Owner kind and responsive.

Nice place on the river

The overall stay was good. We had some trouble getting the tv to come on and property owner didn’t relply back when we called. The power was lost the last day so before that happened the stay was good I’d still recommend the property

Great weekend getaway

We had a great weekend getaway at the cabin. It was perfect for us. We enjoyed a fire in the fireplace and the sound of the river was so relaxing. We can't wait until our next trip to the area.

Nice but not as advertised

Very clean, Due to health issues my husband needs a chair rather than sofa, the one shown in photos was not usable. Fire pit had not been cleaned off, would have taken a while of cleaning to be able to use it, even though they knew we were coming. Access to the river was not as clear as shown in photos so couldn't fish. Called the renter a few times before we received a call back. All these issues and fee was non-refundable. After discussing and advising we were having to move to a different location for the rest of our trip and no offer was made for even a portion of the fee. Would not rent again.

Beautiful, clean cabin!

The cabin is as pictured. Right on the river- beautiful sights and sounds from the screened porch. The inside is clean and comfortable. Well equipped. Quiet relaxing location. We loved the area and the cabin itself. Would highly recommend.

We're an outdoor family whose idea of a great vacation revolves around water, woods and trails. This little log cabin gets us right on the river, where we enjoy wading, fishing, paddling or just lying out on a rock and soaking up the sun. In winter, the babbling water outside and crackling of the logs in the fireplace create a cozy setting for a good read or a great conversation!
