Relax on the extensive wrap-around covered porch overlooking the stocked pond and fishing dock—our guests love “martini sunsets” with views of wildlife in every direction. Inside, wide-plank pine floors, two cozy fireplaces, and a spacious great room set the scene for relaxing evenings with family and friends. The first-floor primary suite features serene pond views for a true vacation-every-day feel. Also on the main level is a charming guest room known as The Lincoln Bedroom. Three additional bedrooms upstairs provide plenty of space for groups. This private country retreat was designed with comfort in mind, including a state-of-the-art geothermal system that keeps the home comfortable year-round. We truly enjoy being hosts because it’s rewarding to share our beautiful 40-acre property with guests seeking a unique country experience. Our gated farm community offers peace, privacy, and a sense of escape that many people rarely get to enjoy. We originally selected this property to create a private retreat for family, friends, special events, holidays, and even weddings—and it’s meaningful to now share that same sense of connection and celebration with our guests. There’s something special about welcoming others to relax, unwind, and reconnect with nature. Guests love spending time by the water, fishing for catfish, bluegill, and largemouth bass, and taking in the quiet surroundings. Being able to offer an authentic rural retreat while creating memorable stays for families, couples, and friends is something we genuinely take pride in.

The property is less than an hour from downtown, making it simple for guests to enjoy the peaceful charm of the countryside while still being close to world-class city amenities. Whether it’s a Kansas City Chiefs or Royals game, a visit to the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, the Liberty Memorial and WWI Museum, Loose Park, or Kansas City’s famous barbecue scene, guests can enjoy the best of both worlds—quiet rural comfort paired with big-city culture, entertainment, and dining.

Our property is truly one-of-a-kind. The centerpiece is an authentic Bob Timberlake hand-hewn log home constructed with Eastern White Pine logs from Tennessee, complete with traditional dovetail corners. The home features five bedrooms, three bathrooms, two fireplaces, and a wraparound porch that showcases timeless Appalachian craftsmanship. Outside, guests enjoy a relaxing triple-falls water feature, a grilling area perfect for outdoor meals, and a private dock on the pond—an inviting place to fish, unwind, or take in the peaceful surroundings. The custom post-and-beam barn, sourced from Connecticut, adds another layer of rustic character. Every element—from the natural materials to the landscape—creates a rare blend of comfort, artistry, and rural elegance.
