Mountain Lodge Getaway

Great lodge to stay in. Awesome way to relax and looking out and seeing the sun setting. Great mountain view and the Deep Creek running by. Loved the stay. Would love to do it again.

Great Location for Polar Express

Beautiful!! Comfortable! Great location.

We were amazed at how beautiful this cabin was. The view was incredible. Location was great. Beds were comfortable and the stone shower was awesome!!! Everything was perfect. Thanks Darrell and Terri for an amazing trip. We would love to come back again.

Polar Express

This property is amazing! The views are wonderful and the house is impeccable. This was our first visit to Bryson City and it was fantastic. The house is easily accessible (4wd is best) and easy to find. Loved the whole experience!

Awesome Views

The house was awesome with the best views. Hot tub was a life saver after a full day of exploring. Everything is close and takes no time to get to (Downtown, grocery store, tubing and hiking) with just a short drive we explored Cherokee as well. Would highly recommend this property (clean, fully equipped and peaceful)

Great place for exploring Great Smoky Mountains

The cabin was comfortable for 3 adults, with amazing mountain views. The location is excellent for exploring the National Park with easy access to Cherokee as well as wonderful hikes in Deep Creek. We enjoyed meals at the dining table and playing games in front of the fire. Nice roomy kitchen with the pots and pans we needed. Driveway a bit tricky and steep but manageable.

A precious place in paradise

We had so much fun at Black Bear Lodge. Everything was perfect from driving into town to up the hill to our home away from home. What a view up there! It’s in the best spot too for fun in the deep creek area and access to Lake Fontana, hikes, boating, restaurants, the train, playing on the Nantahala, and more! We had a week to stay and wanted a month. The house was super comfortable, well decorated and allocated and fun for all ages. Thank you!

Great Cabin and close to town

The cabin was super clean and close to town. The view was amazing. The only downsides was we could hear people laughing and having a good time on Deep Creek. It was mainly during the day and did not take away from our enjoyment of the cabin. Also the pillows in the master bedroom need to be replaced, they are old and kind of smelly. Luckily we brought a few of our own. Other than these two downsides, the cabin was amazing.

Short but great stay

The house is exactly what is in the listing. We found it very clean and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the sunsets from the porch. My father-in-law uses a cane and walker. Once we helped him up the stairs to the porch, he was able to access all areas of the house independently. The owner contacted us about needing to make a quick repair to the hot tub. Communication about that was good and he did exactly what he said he would do. The owner also sent exact directions to the house, including a link to a YouTube video. We are city slickers, so the first time up the road made us nervous. However, our two-wheel drive vehicle made it easily and we had no concern after the first drive.

Never disappoints

I stayed in Black Bear Lodge in 2022 and Sweet T’s in 2023. So when the whole family wanted to vacation together, I knew exactly where to go. It was fantastic. Everyone loved the location, the cabins and the views. They have all sent pictures to social media. If you are looking for a place that multiple generations can enjoy and come together, this is it! And finally, I can’t say enough positive things about the host. Over multiple years he has been great.
