The house was very nice and the host was extremely accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay. The only downside is that the access to accommodations at the JW Marriott restaurants and pool are extremely limited…dinner reservations open after 9PM.

Our host, Elisabeth was excellent in responding promptly, patiently, kindly, and did over and above the norm. It was as advertised, the amenities were excellent, the neighborhood was very nice and quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

Great stay

My second time in Pinilla: absolutely worth it. Beautiful and tranquil place, comfortable house, clean pool, everything we needed near by, walking distance from the beach, monkeys at our door :) just perfect.

Hacienda Pinilla is the best

Great property. Close to Hotel, Beaches, Surf. Owners were very helpful and communicated quickly. Would absolutely stay here again.

Best Family vacation ever!

This home was beautifully decorated, comfortable, spotless, private and perfectly located to get to great surf spots. We enjoyed the monkeys, pool and lovely beach sunsets every night. We definitely hope to return in the future!

Beautiful condo in fantastic community

Spacious, high quality place near everything we love - perfect beaches, great golf, great pools, restaurants, hiking/biking trails, even horseback riding - all in 4500 acres of well kept grounds plus wilderness areas.

Hacienda Panillia Villa

Fantastic! This was our second stay at this property, we love it. Spacious and private with short walk to pool. Nicely furnished, comfortable for our adult family with plenty of room for us to spread out. We will be booking this again on our next trip.

Beautiful Villa

The villa is large and beautiful. Looks like you’re walking into a Tommy Bahama store. All the rich contemporary wood is beautiful. Very relaxing getaway.

Hacienda Pinillia

This was our third stay at this listing. We absolutely love it. Each visit we have brought different people,. It has everything you need, close proximity to the pool and clubhouse, access to gorgeous beaches and more. It has lots of privacy, its just perfect!

Amazing Place!

This condo is awesome, so much room and space. Had everything down to a lemon press! Short walk to the Marriott. We went in February and things were really quiet. The management and host were very helpful and accessible. Loved everything about the area, we had friends in downtown Tamarindo and loved having a quieter easier pace.

Amazing adventure for our family!

What an incredible experience! We absolutely loved staying in this beautiful home. It’s pure paradise! Truly was the chance of a lifetime. We loved how safe we felt in this gated complex, and loved the rural feel of the surrounding area/towns. Definitely need 4 wheel drive for the dirt roads leading into Panilla! The kitchen and linens were all well stocked, we stayed in and cooked a few nights and found everything we needed. Having the “American” grocery store Auto Mercato was just perfect. Only thing was the WiFi never worked, but I’m sure that’s to be expected! We embraced it and truly spent the week enjoying Pura Vida!

Sometimes it’s hard to get stuff done in Costa Rica at the same speed we expect from home but I am so happy you embraced the Pura Vida feeling and had a wonderful time! Xmas 2023

I have mixed thoughts on the property. The villa is in a very good location. Kitchen has been renovated nicely and is well stocked. The gym and outdoor pool were nice amenities. However, communication with the property manager was lacking and there were items not addressed during our stay. We had no tv at all, as there was an issue with cable that was never addressed. Also, there was little water pressure or hot water in the master bathroom shower.

Dear Faith, I am sorry my PM was not responding to the TV issue. I believe since it was Christmas week it was hard to get people out to fix the problem. We have never had a TV / cable issue before. So sorry you did not get to watch the football game. Yes sometimes water press sure can be an issue in Costa Rica most of the time it’s good but sorry again it was not for you. Great vacation for my family

We had a wonderful vacation at Hacienda Pinilla. The concierge was wonderful at helping us set up an amazing chef for a couple of nights. The rooms were large and comfortable. Definitely recommend.

Modern décor and great location!

Our group of 5 adults and an 8 year old greatly enjoyed our stay. The interior decor is very modern and inviting, the kitchen is stocked with everything needed, and the location can’t be beat. Walking distance to the Marriott pool and beach and the private community pool can be seen from the home. Short distance to the Beach Club with another great pool and surfing. Wonderful host and accommodations!

Great place and always love staying on the grounds of Hacienda Pinilla.

Elisabet has a wonderful place and it’s got all your basic comfort needs...as if you were at your own home.

Great location, very secure. Various beaches for swimming and surfing/boogie boarding

Quiet private secure location just south of town. Great kitchen and exterior areas. Close to pool. clean and has everything you need. Road getting to resort is pretty bumpy but once inside resort things are great. Large bedrooms. Would definitely stay again

Amazing setup and location!

Our family stayed here and fell in love not only with Hacienda Panilla, but this property in particular. It was spacious and nicely decorated, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We could tell a lot of thought went into the set up of the interior and we thoroughly enjoyed its beauty in addition to all CR had to offer! The host was very kind and helpful and we hope to come back! We also loved the proximity to the pool and the lighting on the verandas each morning. . . A real gem!

Paradise Found

We thoroughly enjoyed our time. The condo is appointed beautifully, was clean, spacious and had all the amenities, plus some that you would expect. The proximity to the pool was fantastic and the short walk to watch the sunset at Playa Bonita was a treat. The upper balcony with the lounge chairs and hammock was such a lovely place to enjoy the sounds and beauty of Costa Rica. Each evening a family of monkeys would come and play in the trees nearby which was a big hit with the kids. The beach club and Avellanas Beach were close enough to spend time in the surf. We took surf lessons and really enjoyed Lola's Restaurant as well. Communication with the property owner was great and even though we arrived earlier than expected housekeeping nicely let us change and leave our belongings so we could head to the beach to enjoy the day. We felt very safe and would definitely stay again in the future!

Incredible home in outstanding community

We have been coming to the Tamarindo area since 2013. However, this is the first time we have stayed in Hacienda Pinilla, but it won’t be the last. The house exceeded all of our expectations. The furnishings were beautiful. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. There were lots of beach towels and extra linens. There were multiple places to relax both inside and outside; sofas, hammocks, etc.... We had access to both the local pool in Palma Real and the beach club. I can’t recommend this home enough. We are looking forward to returning again next year.
