Welcome to DUNES 207, a comfortable 1-bedroom, 2-bath second-floor condo at the far west end of Fort Morgan. This retreat comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests and features breathtaking panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico and Mobile Bay. Enjoy community amenities including the swim-thru pool, pool spa, fitness center, and grilling areas. Relax indoors, prepare meals in the fully equipped kitchen, or step out to take in the stunning coastal scenery. Local attractions like the Mobile Bay Ferry, Fort Morgan Historic Site, and Gulf Shores Marina are just minutes away.



THE LOCATION

If you want seclusion, rest, and relaxation then Fort Morgan is the place for you. The tranquil beach is your best friend here. You can visit the historic Fort Morgan, a great stop for families and history buffs. Nearby you’ll find the local’s favorite restaurants like Tacky Jack’s 2 and Sassy Bass. Fort Morgan Marina will give you a gorgeous bay view and many fishing charter options. Right down the road is a Dollar General for any last minute grocery needs. If you travel about 20 miles east, you will find yourself in Gulf Shores. There you will find many more restaurants, grocery stores and entertainment options.

Nice condo but dated

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo is fairly nice. A little farther from the ocean then I had anticipated. The condo itself is outdated and not stocked all that well. The bathrooms need to be updated and new furniture is desperately needed in the living room. Overall I would stay at Sand Dunes again but not in this particular condo

The condo seems to have some updates from the pictures. Nower couch and furniture in the living area. Would highly recommend staying here. The hot tub and pool were so nice. Security was always visible walking the grounds and very kind and helpful.

When we arrived the room was not clean the floor & beds had sand all over them. The sliding glass door was filthy. The bathroom in the bedroom had mold on the walls as well as the shower curtain & when you turn the shower on you better have a towel down because the shower head shoots it out and it floods the floor. Our AC also went out at 9 at night I sent a txt message to the number they gave us with no response the next morning I had to send another txt & they got someone out to fix it after we had a miserable night. The entire hotel also had construction going on which blocked us in our room a few times where we had to wait for them to finish before we could come out. It was very quiet no partying or playing which was nice with 3 children at bedtime. It is a drive from town so if you need anything I would advise grabbing it before heading to the hotel.

The condo needs a deep cleaning. The door key pad stopped working & locked us out one afternoon when returning from the beach to get ready for dinner plans. I could not find any phone number to call for help. Googles main phone line got voicemail and two hours later someone returned my call. Finally found another # reached Rochelle. She gave me a new code, but it did not work either, she said I had to wait 15 minutes until I could try another code , She told me she would give me a few codes to keep trying but she couldn’t stay on the phone this long. I told her i was locked out and standing in a hall in a wet swimsuit I didn’t want to hang up and try two more numbers because if they don’t work I was afraid I wouldn’t reach anyone else. Finally after about an hour one of the codes worked. We missed out dinner plans with friends. Disappointed in customer service response time The living room couch and chairs are dirty stained & we didn’t want to sit on them. Hall bunk beds have no sheets on them Kitchen has the very bare minimum with a few odd and end pots and pans with the teflon coming off in every pan. The dishes in the cabinet are all dirty. The bathroom towels are thin small and dingy. I had to keep washing them as there was not enough for us to use during our stay. One towel set for eachnperson for four days. I’ll never rent from sunset properties again

Nice and quiet location. Wish the TV was a smart TV and shower heads were upgraded. The in unit washer/dryer was a big bonus for us. Would be nice to have a few extra trash bags available. Couch and bed were comfortable and the ac worked well. Check in was easy and the carts by the elevator made check in even easier for second floor. Cooridors were kept tidy and plenty of parking. Also plenty of poolside lounge chairs

Over all it was a nice place to stay close to the beach and pool. Far enough away from the crowds and traffic but still close enough if we wanted to go do little shopping go out to eat and there was some restaurants very close Less than a mile away like the tacky jacks 2 which I now will prefer to go to any time I go to the gulf so much a better experience and environment than the one in gulf shores. The floors were a little dirty but nothing to not get too upset about.

The Dunes Condos

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was perfect. My time there was just as I planned. For the most part the condo was clean and comfortable. The exception being the kitchen. I had to wash most of the dishes I wanted to use as they were caked with dried food-egg, spaghetti, cheese etc. yes, it was obvious what was stuck to the dishes Some were just greasy. Most dishes, pans, utensils were crammed or thrown into cabinets, no order. I guess I’m spoiled, but I found few or none of the extra amenities to get you started-paper towels, a scrubby to wash dishes with, etc. Did have trouble with the wi-fi— was given wrong PW 3 times before getting the new one. The Sunset Staff was courteous. A maintenance man did come to check the wi-fi and fixed the dish washer at my request while there. He was very helpful. Lots of folks use these condos every year and I know not everyone takes care of them, but maybe someone needs to check the condition of objects , esp kitchen supplies often.

Hi Janice, we apologize for the state of the dishes. We ask our guests to leave the dishes clean or at least start the dishwasher. During the quick turnarounds in the peak summer rental season, I wish the housekeepers had time to check all the dishes to make sure the previous guest left them the way we request. I hate you had issues with the wi-fi too. We have passwords in our system, but occasionally a guest resets the wi-fi thinking they can "fix" an issue which causes the password to the reset to the default password, and the office staff doesn't know. We hope you'll give us another try.

We brought all of our food from home but if you do not I would stop at the Wal-Mart in Gulf Shores before starting your vaca that way you can enjoy all your time on the beach. It was very family friendly and our kids made friends with other children while there. I gave 4/5 stars for cleanliness because when wiping water off the floor on the first day my rag was dirty which grossed me out a little but besides not mopping I did not have any concerns. It was a very nice spot for our family for an amazing price. If you like to be off the beaten path a little bit this is your place.

Memorial Day stay 2014

Reviewer Comments: I liked the condo very much and would not hesitate to recommend the property to someone, as long as they did not mind not having internet access. I would be very clear, though, that it is almost impossible to find a place to text/email/facebook, etc. without either going to the main office or driving down the road a ways. Things were mostly clean -- a few hairs on the floor, etc, I presume from whomever cleaned. Other than that, I was very happy with the condition and the facilities.
