Villan ser ut på hästar och dimmiga berg. Fräscha mjuka vindar kyler det generösa köket / matplatsen. Lummiga trädgårdar är runt omkring dig och avger nattdoft och dagdoft som lämnar dig leende. Välj färsk frukt från citron fruktträdgård och pressa din frukostjuice. Alla djurens mjuka ljud - från toukaner till hästhovar, vattenbuffelens mjuka böjligheter och baaa av får påminner dig om att du är ansluten till jorden, jorden, gården.

Du är så tyst och privat och isolerad som du vill. Eller vandra ner till stallen - lek med husdjur, mata några djur eller titta på hästarna i träning. Amazing Stay with La Finca

Partner and I had an amazing time staying at this property—service was truly top notch. From arrival to departure, the staff was always friendly and went out of their way to help with any questions we had. The on-site restaurant was not only convenient but also delicious. Special shout out to the reviewer who recommended the mushroom soup—it was phenomenal! We’re already looking forward to visiting this location again the next time we’re near La Fortuna. Highly recommended!

Fantastic Views, Staff and Services!

What a magnificent place to relax and unwind. Our villa had everything we needed with a lovely separated kitchen area. The front porch hammock was a big winner for us too. The nice paths and plethora of animals was amazing. We must mention the 3 best hosts were all brown, furry, and loveable Labrador Retrievers. 5 Stars all the way.

Amazing mountain view!

Villa Ilan at La Finca Lodge was our home base for our adventures in the La Fortuna area. We stayed 5 nights and took the horseback tour through pineapple and sugar cane fields to the river. Danny was a knowledgeable guide and we saw a few holler monkeys along the way. The grounds are gorgeous and well cared for. Our villa overlooked the pasture and greenhouse and has an amazing mountain view.

Wonderful

Beautiful property. Each Villa was secluded and private. We loved sitting on the verandah every morning, listening to the sounds of the animals on the property and birds chirping. Very relaxing to the mind and the soul. We went to the restaurant a few times, and thoroughly enjoyed the food. If we are ever back in the area, we would definitely be happy to stay again.

Wonderful place. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Danny was a fantastic guide on the ATV ride, very knowledgeable and always looking out for things to show you. Denise, Ronald, and Christopher were wonderful. My only recommendation would be offering shuttle service Outstanding visit will be going back soon!!!!

Best Choice for La Fortuna Area

Happy to have discovered this gem. The ranch, villa, restaurant and staff lived up to their reputation. The location was peaceful, many activities available on site, and a great launching site for other activities. Ilan Villa has a beautiful view, excellent a/c, comfortable bed, nice bathroom and well stocked kitchen, although we rarely used.

The Best of Both Worlds

Villa Ilan. The benefits of a private VRBO, combined with amenities of a lodge made our stay just wonderful. The staff couldn’t possibly be more genuine and caring. Oscar and Danny made us feel so welcome— they always made recommendations that added to variety and enjoyment of our trip. The grounds and our cabana, were simply beautiful. The worst part was leaving. We heartily recommend a stay if you want to truly experience rural Costa Rica.

Absolutely amazing!!

We had the most amazing stay at La Finca Ranch. It's hard to describe how beautiful it is. Would absolutely stay there again. We loved everything - including the ATV excursion with Carlos, the horse ride with Danny. The food at the restaurant was amazing, and all staff were wonderful as well. Ronald was so friendly and knowledgeable about everything when we checked in, and out. If you are looking for a place to stay where you can relax and enjoy the beauty of Costa Rica, this is it!

Idyllic villa on a ranch

La Finca Lodge is an absolute gem. This is 5 star accommodation at 4-star prices. The grounds are beautiful and the staff are top notch. The villas are well-appointed and very private, and ours (Ilan-Ilan) has a glorious view of green fields, forested hills and the Volcán Platanal. The restaurant meals were about the best we had in Costa Rica for very reasonable prices. All the excursions recommended by staff were superb. The Lodge was easy to find with Esteban’s directions. We could not recommend highly enough!

Amazing!!!!

La finca lodge was breathtaking and where we spent the first half of our honeymoon. We were so impressed with the staff and property. Everyone treated you like royalty and we felt so welcomed. There are no words to describe how amazing our trip was. Do not hesitate to book here if you have been lucky enough to find it. The food was also amazing we didn’t want to eat anywhere else. The atv tour to the hot springs is a must. I can’t even put into words how amazing this experience was. Thank you for everything!!!

AMAZING STAY!

This place far outweighed our expectations. We stayed 5 night and it was a perfect base for all our exploration. We had a pet sloth who visited every other day right above our car, which was so cute. We took both the horse and ATV tour with Danny who was an excellent guide and a wealth of information. The local Hot Springs were amazing on the ATV tour! We had the whole place to ourselves. The horses loved us since we brough them carrots and apples every morning. The Villa was just beautiful and pristine. The food was INCREDIBLE. We ate breakfast there every morning with fresh fruits and juice. The Portobello Mushroom for Dinner was so good I had it for 3 nights and on the last night, Carmen, the chef showed me how to make it. All the workers Oscar, Daniel, Christopher, Andres, and Mariano were amazing. They helped us book all our additional reservations in La Fortuna and told us about local places to visit that were less touristy. We can't wait to come back and visit again!

Amazing Site but misled about ballooning

We stayed in the Ilan Ilan unit. The unit was clean, gorgeous, secluded, surrounded by foliage and over looking a meadow and hills. Each day toucans, scarlet macaws and many other smaller birds flew by. The food was delicious.There was a huge tree above the unit that had thousands of walnut sized seed/nuts that were constantly dropping from 30-40 feet up onto the steel roof which definitely effected the amount of sleep we got.(i did not let this impact the rating I gave...part of nature)The ATV outing to the hot spring was tons of fun and the hot spring and river was not as busy as some places and offered pool of varied temperatures.I lowered the rating because upon booking our visit to La Finca I let them know I wanted to do a bucket list item which was The hot air ballooning. We booked 8 nights to be sure that there would be enough days available to find a perfect weather day.When we booked 9 months ahead we were told: "We've added tentatively one of those dates to try flying you , given we rely on ideal weather conditions."However upon check in we were told they wont be flying and another staff member told us it does not normally fly this time of year and was closed until June.VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! as ballooning was the reason we booked here. Had we been told that they never or not likely to fly at this time of year we would have book another time of year or a shorter stay. FELT MISLED!

Pure Beauty and Relaxation

I had dreamed of visiting Costa Rica and wanted to see the beautiful rainforest, waterfalls, wildlife, and have the sounds of nature sing me to sleep. La Finca Lodge provided it all and beyond that the staff makes you feel beyond welcome and part of the family. We stayed in the one bedroom villa and saw beautiful flowers, hummingbirds, nightly serenades by the frogs, and visits from the horses just off of the patio. We had a great time with Dennis and the Chocolate Labs (there are three!) while dining on property for a great breakfast and optional delicious dinners. We highly recommend the watermelon smoothie, the lemon sea bass, and my teenager said try the chicken wings! The ATV ride with Carlos and his assistance with spotting wildlife when visiting the hot springs made it a trip of a lifetime! We are already planning our next visit and will plan to stay longer. Pura Vida! We highly recommend!

Perfect Honeymoon

My husband and I enjoyed the first half of our honeymoon at the Llan villa at La Finca Lodge. We flew into San Jose and enjoyed the mountain scenery bringing us to the lodge. We found the location without trouble once we messaged the host for a formal address, my only suggestion is to list “La Finca Lodge” in the property details as we were searching for Llan villa which is only one villa on the property. The check in and directions once we were onsite were seamless. Everyone was so welcoming and kind- sharing various facts about animals and plants on the property. They have a restaurant onsite which has breakfast and dinner options. All very reasonably priced and delicious. We did the afternoon ATV tour with Danny who is so knowledgeable. This was a highlight of our trip despite the rains from Hurricane Rafael. On our way back on the ATV tour a bridge was flooded but Danny found a safe alternative route to get us home. It was late when we arrived but the kitchen stayed open for us and even delivered our meals to our villa which was perfect and very much appreciated. The staff provided us with local recommendations as well as more secluded beaches for us to attend when in Tamarindo. Numerous times they stated that we could call if needing any help, even after checking out and heading to Tamarindo. The view from our villa was gorgeous as well as the property itself. We will definitely recommend this location to anyone traveling to CR and we will be back!

The best rainforest experience in a safe n serene environment

We stayed in Villa Manago in the La Finca Lodge. This is by far the best VRBO rental we had. We stayed there for 5 days in our 10 day Costa Rica trip. Initially we were a bit skeptical but the communication with Andrea & Manual(sons of the owner) eased our concern before travel. Check In: They gave the exact location(GPS in coasta rica is not always correct). The check in experience was breeze, the team was welcoming. The home was exactly as they shared in the pictures Location: This is an awesome 1200 acre property, with its own walking trail and animals. Every day we woke up to the sounds of Toucans & McCaws Service: Impeccable service. We had few ants issues as we left a candy outside and the team arrive on time/ cleaned it. They have room service every day. Tours: We experienced both the horse back and ATV tours. Danny was exceptional. We loved the serene experience. Danny has an eye for wild life and we even spotted a mommy/ baby slot. More importantly they treat the animals fairly, they love and respect nature. I would highly recommend this property. My 11 year old overcame his fear of horse back riding and he left this property with renewed respect for nature. Thanks Andrea, Manual, Danny & the entire La Finca Team

Fantastic and memorable stay at LaFinca Lodge!

We spent 5 nights at LaFinca Lodge in Ilan Ilan Villa which overlooked a horse pasture and the Platanar Volcano. It was so beautiful! We loved watching when the horses were put out to pasture, 2 at a time. They were so excited, bucking out of sheer joy and running around. The horses at the lodge are so well cared for and happy. We went on the RV tour with Danny to the hot springs through the beautiful country side, through sugar cane fields and along pineapple plantations and a river. I went on a private horse ride, also with Danny, who is an avid bird watcher which made an awesome ride even better for me as he has an eagle eye for spotting wildlife! I recommend you book these tours ahead of time as they are very popular. The entire staff made you feel at home and were always friendly and extremely helpful. They help guide you to the area’s many tours and activities according to your likes and needs. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the servers were so kind and sweet. We did not bother to eat off site and only ate a couple of meals in our villa. If you love nature and comfort (the villa was spotless and spacious) and being away from the crowds you will love this place. We sure did! Thank you to ALL the staff at La Finca lodge! We will be back. 💕

Beautiful place with excellent adventures!

This is my second time at the property. I was At La Finca six years ago with my children and brother. This time was just me and my wife and the place is beautiful. The farm is so well planned and the property is really well-maintained. The staff is thoughtful and attentive. Esteban and Monica are great host along with her whole staff. Our guy Danny was extremely knowledgeable and the ATV ride to the Hot Springs was amazing. Thanks for having us John and Kate

We had a wonderful stay at La Finca! The staff were very friendly, the views are incredible, and you are able to feel completely at ease while being there. We felt safe and well taken care of during our few days there. Quaint and beautiful. Highly recommend!!

We found paradise and a great place to develop our passion... Horses. We run a horse farm and an adventure company that includes the only Hot Air Ballooning operation in Central America. We strive to give our guests a sense of traditional Costa Rica country hospitality. Our farm has spectacular horses, from fiery stallions to placid draft horses, and our soft stepping Pasofinos. We have an assortment of pets -- from a Dachshund to a water buffalo, and a pet pig that sleeps with the horses, plus several sheep that share dinner with our mares. And our three kids. the heart of our life in our farm. Centaura Farm is a lot like Charlotte's web. Our farm has an old-fashioned soul with very modern ideas of comfort. It is a great place to raise our family.
