Where farmers used to deliver their freshly milked milk in churns, a lovingly furnished holiday home has been created that restores and modernises the old building fabric without compromising its charm.
In keeping with its original function, the house is divided into three floors, one above the other, which are connected by small staircases. These stairs have been restored to their original design and are therefore not suitable for people with hip or knee problems.
The living room with radio and digital satellite TV is located on the middle floor. A pull-out double sofa provides extra cosiness on rainy days. Plenty of books are available. The kitchen and bathroom (WC and shower) are on the lower floor. The kitchen is fully equipped and suitable for self-catering (ceramic hob, coffee machine, toaster, fridge, kettle, complete crockery). The bedroom is under the roof and is furnished with a double bed (2mx2m).
The old solid brick structure and the modern windows ensure a balanced indoor climate and tranquillity inside the house.

The Melkhus is situated on the owner's 1600 square metre property, which is completely fenced in with hedges. As this is divided into several levels, guests have their own area with enough space for two seating areas, a barbecue and an entire meadow that can be used. Storing a car, bicycles or canoes is no problem. The house is conveniently located for excursions by bike, car, boat, train, bus or hiking.

With its location between the Baltic Sea, Lake Sellin and the beech forest, Sellin is a tourist hotspot with a variety of cycling and hiking trails, its own sailing harbour and a wide range of leisure and cultural events. You will find the relevant brochures and information in the house.
