Could have been better
The house though in a lovely location was disappointing. We have two young children and the description of the house detailed a washing machine. As this was one of our requirements we were rather shocked by Monika informing us when we arrived that yes she did have a washing machine but it was not working and was not plumbed in. She also informed us that the house does have a kettle but she had given it to some other holiday makers who were staying in a cottage in the garden of the house. The coffee maker which she suggested we use instead did not work we then discovered and had to be held manually the whole time the water was coming through.
The shower is in the middle of the sitting room and dining room meaning that you have to enter and exit the shower in full view of the other guests staying with you. We were with some friends and you just had to laugh about it.
The advice also describes that there are 4 bikes available, we only ever found one.
The worst thing however about the house was the dirt. The crockery in the kitchen cupboards were very sticky and dirty, the pots and pans were dirty and some stuff was mouldy. There were also silver fish alive in the cupboards (a horrible insect). One of the double beds had two mattresses on them which did not fit the bed and therefore you ended up with a big lump running down the middle of the bed and the double sheets did not fit which Monika had advised us to bring. The mattress was covered in sand and crumbs and the floors were filthy.
There was no little bar of soap in the toilet and no towels. There were mo tea towels provided though we did find some stuff in a cupboard in the sitting room though again these did not look clean.
There were no instructions regarding how to contact a doctor or where the nearest hospital was or what to do in the event of an emergency. I also cannot recall that there were any smoke detectors.
We were disappointed with the house and will not be returning.
