We rent out our private and very cosy holiday home "De Seekobb" to you, if you like. It is located directly on the North Sea, only about 400 metres from the dyke and the beach. Situated on a very beautiful, approx. 380 m² property, you will find peace and relaxation.
IMPORTANT!
Since autumn 2023 the spa park in Friedrichskoog-Spitze is being redesigned. The first construction phase is finished (autumn 2024). All information - always updated - can be found on the Internet at the Friedrichskoog Tourist Service!
From spring 2024 until probably autumn 2025...
As part of the legally required dyke reinforcement, work began in spring 2024 to raise the dyke. The 1st construction phase at the dyke construction site - from April 2024 to September 2024 - has been completed. The second construction phase will continue in April 2025, with the renewal of the public tourist infrastructure along the dyke being implemented at the same time. This includes, for example, the creation of barrier-free entrances and exits. The bathing beach will not be accessible during this construction period! All information - constantly updated - can be found on the Internet at the Friedrichskoog Tourist Service!
As our holiday home is 400m away from the dyke and beach, the house is not directly affected. Only the usability of the beach is certainly restricted.
But you will still find this:
Our house "De Seekobb" is a ground floor, 50m² holiday home - a bungalow - in the North Sea spa Friedrichskoog-Spitze. It has a bedroom with double bed (renovated 2022) and a bedroom with single bed, a parlour with fireplace and an open kitchen (new 2020) with dining area, as well as a bathroom (new 2021) with walk-in shower, washbasin and toilet. The south-facing house with terrace (new 2021/22) is located at the end of a cul-de-sac. It offers plenty of space for two adults. The house is suitable for senior citizens because everything is on one level, but it is not barrier-free.
The holiday home "De Seekobb" is a non-smoking house.
It is allowed to bring a dog (please register). Cats are not allowed. The garden is not completely fenced. Dog places and bowls are available if we know that a four-legged friend is coming along.
There is a parking space on the property where you can park your car for the duration of your holiday. Charging an electric car via a socket in the holiday home is prohibited! There are charging stations in Friedrichskoog-Spitze and in Friedrichskoog.
The minimum stay is 7 nights.
Our rental prices include bed linen and towels for two people (bath towels, hand towels, shower mats) In addition, the rental price includes the additional costs for normal use for water and waste (electricity is billed according to consumption).
Electricity
In order to promote economy, electricity has been billed according to KW/h consumption since 2023. Electricity consumption is lower in summer as no heating is required. Only the hot water boiler and the normal electricity for all electrical appliances will still be used. Billing takes place after the holiday via the deposit repayment. We have reduced the daily rental prices, which previously (until 2022) included the electricity consumed.
Tourist tax
The municipality charges visitor's tax (visitor's tax) from 1 March to 30 October and you will receive a guest card as proof. This card entitles you to numerous discounts. Many offers can be used free of charge or with a significant discount. When you make a booking enquiry on this portal, you will be charged the visitor's tax, which you only pay on arrival. If you are entitled to a discount, please let us know before you arrive.
Discounts: If you are the holder of a disabled person's pass, you only pay half the daily rate if you have a disability of 50% or more. If you have a disability of 80% or more, you are exempt from the spa tax. An accompanying person is also exempt, provided this is stated on your card (B). Children up to the age of 18 as well as pupils and students up to the age of 27 are also exempt from the spa tax on presentation of a student card.
Living room
The living room - or as they say here, the parlour - is comfortably furnished with alder wood furniture, a cosy couch and a small double living room table. And what makes it even cosier is the fireplace, which provides cosy warmth on cooler evenings. (You can buy wood in the shopping arcade in Friedrichskoog-Spitze or at Rewe in Friedrichskoog). From the couch you have a beautiful view of the garden or the open fire, but you can also watch TV. There is also an internet radio with Bluetooth and a USB port for your own music. The windows and patio door are fitted with insect screens. The room can be completely darkened with curtains and/or blinds.
Bedroom with double bed
From the entrance hallway, the second door on the left leads to the bedroom with a double bed (140x200cm). We renovated it in 2022, next to the bed there are two bedside cabinets with bedside lamps and a shelf with a small selection of books. This room is carpeted. There is an external blind or you can just close the curtains. The window has an insect screen. The beds are freshly made when you arrive.
Bedroom with single bed
The second bedroom directly to the left of the hallway has a single bed (90x200cm) and a large wardrobe. There is also a bookshelf with a small selection of books and a bedside table with a lamp. This room is also carpeted. Here too there is an external blind or you can just close the curtains. This window also has an insect screen. This bed is not made up unless you request this when you book. The double bed in the first bedroom is freshly made up on arrival.
Bathroom
The bathroom is new (April 2021). It is located to the right of the entrance hallway and now has a large walk-in shower, a WC and a washbasin with illuminated mirror. A window provides natural light and has an insect screen. It can be completely darkened with an external blind. A bathroom cabinet wall provides plenty of storage space. A hairdryer is available and there is also a socket next to the mirror.
Kitchen
The kitchen is also new (May 2020). The living and dining room has this beautiful new open-plan kitchen, in which hardly any equipment wishes remain unfulfilled: Cooker with ceramic hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, kettle, coffee maker, toaster, blender and of course crockery, glasses, cutlery, pots and pans and many small items. Between the living room and kitchen area is the dining table with three comfortable chairs. The floor is completely tiled in a light colour.
Garden and outdoor facilities
The holiday home "De Seekobb" is located on a 380 m² plot surrounded by an alder hedge, which is opaque in summer. There is also a garden shed (new November 2020) with space for bicycles. Here you will also find various garden furniture (loungers, chairs, table, cushions) and a barbecue. On the south-facing terrace there is a cosy beach chair (new from 2023), which invites you to sunbathe. The terrace is also partially covered so that you can find a shady spot on hot days. The garden is not completely fenced in. There is a parking space on the property where you can park your vehicle for the duration of your holiday. The property is located at the end of the cul-de-sac Norderpiep.
And because there are so many birds here, we have named our holiday home "De Seekobb", which is Low German for "The Herring Gull"!
