Ferienwohnung-StÀdtler, holidays with flair in the colourful town on the Harz, directly in the historic old town of Wernigerode. Our beautiful old half-timbered house (first mentioned in 1658) is located in one of the architecturally most interesting streets of Wernigerode. Many beautiful and colourful half-timbered houses are lined up here, some of them close together. A glance along the houses can give you the feeling of being transported back in time.
Our house is within sight of the oldest church in Wernigerode. The property is located not far from the extensive and well-kept churchyard (not a cemetery) of St John's Church, i.e. on the west side outside a dense development.
Cosy holiday flat directly on the ground floor in our centrally but quietly located historic half-timbered house next to the oldest church in Wernigerode with space for max. 3 adults. The combined living room and bedroom is tastefully furnished and offers new furniture as well as a painted cupboard from the 18th century as a visual highlight. The windows facing the street can also be closed with shutters that can be operated from the inside. The eat-in kitchen is also newly furnished and offers a complete kitchen with gas hob, oven, microwave, fridge and freezer as well as many other useful details. There is also a washing machine in the modern bathroom with shower, WC, mirror cabinet and hairdryer, and arriving and departing holiday guests can park near the house for loading and unloading or, depending on the parking situation, in front of the house. Permanent parking in the town centre of Wernigerode is only possible for a fee in the designated parking spaces or in the multi-storey car park in PfarrstraĂe. Accordingly, the Wernigerode Public Order Office will no longer issue annual parking permits to landlords of holiday flats Please note: The parking regulations of the city of Wernigerode and the Harz district are subject to ongoing changes. Due to force majeure, I as landlord can therefore not give any guarantees.
Wernigerode, the "colourful town on the Harz", lies on the northern edge of the Harz. It is a town with special charms: magnificent half-timbered houses vie for the favour of visitors in a unique fascination and variety, the oldest of them dating back to 1400. Wernigerode has many tourist attractions. The town centre consists largely of half-timbered houses from Lower Saxony. The neo-Gothic Wernigerode Castle towers prominently over the town and can be easily recognised from afar. The area surrounding Wernigerode is also extremely attractive. The Harz narrow-gauge railway starts here and travels via Schierke to the Brocken and across the Harz to Nordhausen in Thuringia. The Breite Strasse, Wernigerode's architecturally interesting shopping and strolling mile, is just 10 minutes from the holiday flat. In about 15 minutes you can reach the beautiful 500-year-old town hall, the interesting market square or the relaxing forest.
