We hebben enorm genoten van ons verblijf . Vanaf het onthaal tot het uit-checken was alles top . Gli Gnomi is een mooi appartement met alle comfort wat je nodig hebt tijdens je vakantie . De mooie tuin met terras en ongelofelijk uitzicht zijn een pluspunt . Een echte aanrader .

Bij het boeken van deze woning viel me later op dat de recensies niet bepaald actueel meer waren. Toch kloppen ze grotendeels. Eremo delle Fate ligt op een prachtige locatie net buiten Spoleto. Wij hebben hier met zijn tweeën en onze hond een heerlijk verblijf (twee weken) gehad in Umbrie. De ontvangst en verzorging is geweldig en Umbrie heeft veel te bieden. Eremo delle Fate bestaat uit in totaal 5 verblijven waarvan deze woning (Gnomi) er eentje is. Dat is niet helemaal duidelijk in de advertentie. Op het terrein zijn twee gezamenlijke zwembaden aanwezig, geen prive zwembad zoals de advertentie doet geloven. Een van de twee was tijdens ons verblijf gesloten. Je kunt ontbijten op de locatie (tegen bijbetaling) en daar hebben we regelmatig gebruik van gemaakt. Op de website van Eremo delle Fate staat dat je er ook kunt dineren alleen was de kok tijdens ons verblijf ziek. Allemaal geen probleem, alles werd ruimschoots gecompenseerd door de schoonheid, de gastvrijheid en de rust. Wellicht nog een kleine tip. Neem scherpe messen mee als je besluit om zo nu en dan zelf te gaan koken.

Wunderbarer Platz mit Aussicht unweit von Spoleto

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen, inbesondere die grosse Terasse (Gli Gnomi), die beiden Pools und die Nähe zum schönen Spoleto (10 Min. zum Parkplatz Posterna, Rolltreppe). Auch die beiden Schlafzimmer mit jeweils Bad recht komfortabel. Die Klimaanlage ist allerdings nur im Wohnraum. Leider ist das Haus von Gli Gnomi sehr hellhörig bzgl. oberer Wohnung, wir hatten das große Pech, schreiendes Baby und nicht zeitumgestellte Gäste aus dem dem Osten über uns zu haben, daher Lärm bereits vor 7:00.

Wonderful stay in Spoleto

We had a wonderful stay at Etemo d’elle Fate. The kids loved the pool, the cats and the food. The view is amazing overlooking the valley with olive trees all around. We had a great large 2 bedroom apartment ideal for a family of 4.

Beautiful, quiet and perfect

The most beautiful and relaxing place to stay. The house was immaculate as were the grounds and swimming pools. The kitchen was very well equipped and the house was extremely comfortable. The owners are so lovely. Kind and helpful and very welcoming. This is a fantastic place to stay and explore the area of Umbria.

Beautiful property with an amazing host

Modern amenities with old world charm. The host was very welcoming and an amazing cook! Great spot in the country just a few minute drive away from Spoleto. Staying here was the highlight of our trip.

An Umbrian Delight

This was our third stay and it is as excellent as ever. The location is idyllic, the accommodation is superb, and Ginevra is a wonderful host. Ginevra's home cooking was just fabulous - sitting by the fire, eating wild asparagus and drinking Umbrian wine says it all.

Stunning

Everything about Eremo delle Fate was perfect. It has two beautiful pools. One a large pool, great for swimming lengths and for larger groups/families and the second a smaller one up on a hill with fabulous views down towards Spoleto. The property is beautifully planted, full of lavender, lemon and orange trees, acer trees and roses, an abundance of scented roses. The house we rented was perfect, very clean and nicely furnished, very comfortable. Outdoor seating areas beautiful too. There has been no scrimping on furnishings, lamps, pictures, outdoor seating...it all feels very generous and a loved and cared for place. The property is only 3 minutes by car from Spoleto which is an authentic living town with beautiful streets, shops and restaurants. Large, very good supermarket on the outskirts. Many interesting villages, towns and activities within a nearby radius of the property. Highly recommend the river rafting 30 minutes away and also the 'Pizza Party' held by the owner during our stay for all the guests. A charming, very well maintained and loved property. We have been there twice now and we will return!

Magical

A beautiful oasis just up the hill from the cute town of Spoleto, my family of four with two children(8&11) were treated with great warmth and affection. Our second trip to Spoleto- we love Umbria and there's so much to see and do here, with less crowds than Toscana, we had to return. Eremo delle Fate is a gated paradise among trees, flowers and an olive orchard featureing 3 rentals, 2 pools, animals(horses, chickens, duck, bunny, cats, a turtle and delightful corgies, a private locanda for food and, best of all, the attentive care of the owners. Ginevra, a multitalented intelligent young woman, offers wonderful care. She will assist you in making your stay in Umbria special. She cooks, she works her property, entertains her guests, advises, consoles and will give an honest opinion about anything. Her sister offers riding lessons, which our children took all week, at a reasonable price in beautiful location nearby. The Marini family are wonderful people and take great pride and care in what they do. The Gnomi house sits below the larger Fate house and has the best and largest veranda. Tastefully decorated and comfortable with good beds and nice bathrooms, we often enjoyed eating outdoors. There's a small kitchen with oven/stove/dishwasher and fridge. Large windows with screens, a fireplace, tv(Ginevra can provide a DVD player if desired). Below the Gnomi house, sits the smaller rental. The views are terrific. Walk down below to see all the animals, outdoor pizza oven, and the largest of the pools. The other pool is slightly up the hill. We had great weather, and they opened one of the pools early for our kids to swim. There's also a small exercise house. Ginevra provides prearranged meals at her Locanda which are super! She will help arrange other activities or leave you alone if that's what you desire. I say: do whatever she recommends! Visit some hillside towns, drive into the Valnerina, check out some mummies(Kids love it), walk through Spoleto with gelato, go horseback riding or rafting, or just, simply, enjoy Eremo delle Fate. Very unique, one of a kind experience.

Fantastic!

We spent two weeks at this wonderful location. Elegant furnishing, VERY good beds, new bathroom and a wonderful garden. Ginevra, the owner of Eremo delle Fate, is a self confident and very warm person and she is the queen of cooking. She has the makings of a star-winning-chef and we enjoyed her dinners in the outside restaurant (unfortunately we missed the warm italian nights this year). Spoleto is a wonderful small town, you can go on a hike through the forest and olive groves and reach the cathedral after one hour. Excellent location for exploring Umbria.

Glorious!

Wonderful location, fabulous property furnished to very high specs, views to die for, and a marvellous centre to explore Umbria. The lovely Ginevra is a lady of many talents, apart from being helpful and welcoming she is a first class cook - we were sad not to have time to eat at the in-house restaurant more often. Unfortunately the evenings were a little too chilly for her renowned pizza party, and we never did get around to booking one of her cookery courses - maybe next time! Top tip: on your first visit to the supermarket, get in a bottle of gin and some tonics...you have your own personal lemon tree on your private terrace!

Super

Eremo delle Fate is een fantastische plaats om écht vakantie te nemen. Vanaf het ontvangst tot bij het vertrek kan je niet anders dan genieten. Het appartement (Il Gnomi) is netjes in orde, en ook vooral het zeer ruime terras is erg de moeite. Goed geschikt voor een gezin met twee kindjes. Het hele domein is schitterend. Je kan er ook zeer lekker eten. Maar wat vooral bijdraagt tot een geslaagde vakantie is de warme gastvrijheid van Ginevra en haar familie. Eremo delle Fate is een waar paradijsje...

Absolutely Delightful

We had a marvelous time at Eremo delle Fate. We stayed at the Gnomi House and found it to be as wonderful as the pictures show. The terrace in particular is spectacular. The beds were extremely comfortable. Everything was clean and well maintained. Our host, Ginevra, is beautiful, welcoming, and heartwarming. I highly recommend eating in her garden restaurant while enjoying your stay - the meal was absolutely delicious and artfully presented. If you enjoy the outdoors, animals of all kinds, and the simple pleasures of a kind smile and beautiful, natural surroundings, Eremo delle Fate is for you.

Lovely house with very friendly owner

The house is very nice. It has a large terrace with deck and lounge chairs. Perfect place to eat or relax. If you don't want to cook yourself, there is also the restaurant option. Ginevra, the owner, prepared us twice a delicious dinner, glutenfree was no problem. We had dinner outside, next to the fire. Very cosy. Lovely place!

Dictonary Holiday = Gnomi House

I can write a lote of words about this residence but I think that will not cover what this place is for you when you are on holiday. After staying at the Gnomi houe we immediately booked the holiday for next year. The pictures you see on the website are just 50% from what you will get and experience. The surrounding, food, landlady, the animals, the pools, the house, the nature, possibilities ....... there is no other place we want to go to anymore. Gnomi House is holiday. Perfect

On arrival,Eremo delle Fate was just as we had imagined it. We had arranged before hand for Ginevra to prepare an evening meal for us, which was fabulous. This was our first time in Umbria and Eremo delle Fate ticked all the boxes. We had Gli Gnomi apartment and it was excellent, good shower,brilliantly comfortable beds and a wonderful terrace. A choice of 2 pools and the avilability for an evening meal means you dont have to go out. This is a good area , we visited Assisi, Spello, Norcia, Todi, Orvieto and Spoleto, we even took the train from Spoleto and had a day in Rome. I must say a word about Ginevra and her family, nothing was too much trouble and they go out of their way to make your stay an enjoyable one. Cant recommend it highly enough.

Absolutely charming - highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this charming place, conveniently located within reasonable travelling distance of many of Umbria’s places of interest. We only stayed for a week and would have happily stayed on for another, as there were still many places left to explore! We hired a car upon arrival at the airport, and would recommend doing the same to anyone planning on taking their holiday here. The apartment was clean and beautifully decorated / furnished with hi spec bathrooms and a lovely main bedroom. The kitchen was well equipped and there's also a washing machine available. The owner, Ginevra, is very friendly and helpful and had left plenty of information on the local area including restaurants, where to find the supermarkets and things to do /places of interest, Ginevra also cooked us a delightful meal one night. Eremo delle fate has two shared pools which were lovely and both had fantastic views over the beautiful Umbrian landscape. Although the pool is shared, we had it to ourselves on most occasions that we used it (nearly every afternoon!). This was one of the best holidays we've ever had and I would certainly recommend it to friends and family. We will be BACK!!! Lovely location, creatures everywhere

We just returned from a week at this property. The location is fantastic for exploring the area and Spoleto. The house itself was ideal for our family of 5 with 2 bedrooms ,kitchen ,sitting room and a beautiful,large patio with a fantastic view. Upon our arrival we were shown the property very quickly and then left on our own. The baby crib was not set up and did not have sheets . We had a fire because it was cold and the next day were told we used the wrong wood. No one explained how the central heating worked.The ants ,which were evident in the kitchen, were not a welcome sight each morning. During the night if you leave your bedroom window open expect to have a cat in bed with you. We asked Ginvera to prepare a meal one night for us, and she promised to give us a menu before so we could decide what we would like. This never happened, we arrived to a set menu. The food was good ,but the meat choice was not one we would have choosen. The service we received at other properties was not evident here, The door knobs fell off the bedroom door, but no one was around to fix it.

A wonderful place with great hosts

We enjoyed staying in Gli Gnomi again this year, especially with the developments since last time: a wonderful terrace for dining and soaking up the sun. The property is well maintained: each year the family find new ways of improving and enhancing facilities. The grounds are delightful, with the two pools and a pizza oven. As always the family were great hosts, introducing us to a lovely restaurant in Trevi and hosting a pizza evening for guests. They always show great care and kindness to their visitors. Spoleto itself is a town that is lovely to visit again and again, and the property is well placed for visits to the Valnerina, Assisi, Perugia and countless gems of hilltop towns. We enjoyed visiting again, and the other guests on the property were repeat visitors: confirmation that this is a great place to stay. You can be yourself, or mix with others: each part of the property has its private areas, but we have enjoyed meeting other families here too. Our hosts have become our friends, and this makes our holidays even more special.

Just Fantastic

We stayed at the Gnomi house which is a comfortable house with two bedrooms and two bath rooms, one with bath the other with shower. Beds are very comfortable and there is plenty of space for clothes etc (in many houses you have to live out of your suitcase because of no or just little storage space). The terrace is really large and offers plenty of privacy. It is filled with beautiful plants, lounge chairs, tables, umbrella's so to fit everyones need to eat, relax, read, sleep or whatever you fancy. The host of the house, Ginevra, is genuinely welcoming the visitors and doing her utmost to give you a fantastic time. If anything you need, she's there to solve it, and always with a smile and kind words. Never experienced this in any other house we stayed in. Ginevra also runs her private restaurant, just next to the house and she cooks delicious dinners and serves great wines with it. Very convenient as well if you don't feel like going out to a restaurant but also don't want to prepare your own dinner. All in all, this is a house I would recommend anybody. We are definitely going back there.

Superb Spoleto

My family, including two young girls have just returned from here after our second visit and were delighted to have such a warm welcome to a beautiful house. Our hosts went out of their way to help us, buying food for us and giving us information when required, they were wonderful. Spoleto and the surrounding area is of breathtaking beauty and largely free of busy towns and traffic. The food, wine, hilltop towns, our hosts and the house were perfect, a five star holiday location and house. The house was clean, the large private pool ideal for young children, and the dogs, cats, ducks, horses, rabbits and chickens fantastic fun for the children. I would strongly recommend this property. One of our best holidays!

We spend unfortunately only one week in July 2010 on this beautifull property. We had a very nice stay in The Foletti house. All the three houses are wonderfull decorated, charming and very well equipped. There is a huge pool and up the hill a smaller, romantic pool with a breathtaking view. The property is close to Spoleto (nice!) and is very well situated in stunning Umbria. The owner provided a very welcoming atmosphere and made sure we had a terrific stay. If you like it she will organize all kinds of special events. For example we went rafting with her and a Danish family. Lot of fun!!! Pizzaparty on the property with a special pizza maker, who made the most delicious pizza's. Our daughter loved the (tinker)horses who lived downhill. Lots of other animals as well. We have never been twice to the same place for our holidays, but we will return to Eremo delle Fate for sure!!!
