Lovely vacation

House is well designed & beautiful. Lots of "toys:" paddleboards, kayaks, life vests. Huge deck under house that includes 2 hammocks, a porch swing, table and chairs that seats 6, 4 chaise lounges, plenty of beach chairs & 2 umbrellas, private outdoor shower, & faucets to hose off feet & shells. Loved it!

Gorgeous place

Labor Day weekend with family and friends was well worth. The house and location was very convenient and really enjoyed the beach and surrounding area The house was nice and cleaned and has alll the features. Ms Diane was very friendly and quick to answer questions. Would love to stay again.

Peace and quiet

Just what we were looking for, very peacefull, very quiet, very private. House was clean and had everything we needed, even more. Downstairs was nice with a great breeze blowing through and fishing off the dock at night was great. Beach is a minute walk across the "street" and if you collect seashells bring a big bucket or stro g bag or a truck. They are litterally everywhere. Our best ones were 2 whole sand dollars and 2 large conch shells, you'll find what your looki g for if you look for it. Don't forget anything, or you'll do without or get on the ferry. Resort restaraunt is pricey but the food is awsome and worth it. We don't normally go to the same place twice when on vacation but we'll be rethinking that next time we go to Fl. Thank you Miss Diane for the use of your house, it was wonderful!!

Beautiful Palm Island

Absolutely beautiful stay, You are on Island time for sure, great place to unwind from the hustle and bustle of life. Beach is across the street, you have many public access entrances, some are lined with sea shells. Sunsets are breathtaking. Bring bug spray for summer. :). Fisherman’s dream!

Wonderful house and location!!

Our vacation was wonderful. We stayed for a full week and everything went without any issues. We did see a pretty good size bee hive and notified the owner. She had someone out the following day! The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Looking forward to our next visit already!!

week long get away

This property is perfect if you are looking to get away from the rat race and just relax in a beautiful location. Dock access to the channels to fish, swim, or paddle board you don't have to venture but feet from the beautiful relaxation on the deck which is located under the property as it is on stilts. The deck area has a bar, hot tub, hammocks, corn hole boards and bags. If you want to go to the beach it is a short wash across the road to swim, fish, hunt for shells, or watch the sunset.

A wonderful and relaxing stay!

Changes In Attitude was the perfect place for our family to gather over. The wrap around screened porch was so beautiful and where we spent most of our time. Our days were spent going between the beach and the lagoon where we used the paddle boards and kayaks. Palm Island is truly a great escape. The hosts were so attentive and thoughtful. We would love to come back!

Nice spacious House on Island (only by ferry)

Very nice, spacious house with great facilities. The beach is only 1 minute away and is perfect for long walks. Only if you want to go on excursions you have to remember that you can only get off the island by ferry (2 minutes = $55).

We loved Changes in Attitude!

We were looking for a low key beach vacation with a bit of adventure and we found just that! We are so glad we discovered Palm Island, and Changes in Attitude was the perfect place for us - family of four (kids are 3 & 6) + mother-in-law! We loved being on the lagoon with the boat dock, and just steps across the street from the beach. The best feature is the under house hang out that our kids absolutely loved - the pictures don’t do it justice!! The outdoor shower was nice for cleaning off after a day at the beach, and the beach chairs, beach towels & kayaks / SUP were a huge bonus. We enjoyed daily golf cart rides to Coconut’s for ice cream, and rented a pontoon from Abe’s Boat Rental (on the mainland) to explore beaches & sand bars on the intercostal waterway. Diane was very helpful in providing lots of information ahead of time so we could plan our trip. We’d love to stay here again!

Perfect Getaway

This was the perfect location for our girls trip! The house and location are beautiful! We loved being able to take out the kayaks on the waterway and then relaxing on the beach:). Diane was the perfect host! We hope to come back soon!

Great time on Palm Island

Everything was great and as described. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was big, and plenty of stuff to cook with and areas to store. Fridge was big with large freezer. Couches were comfortable. The area under the house was terrific for hanging out. Screened wraparound porch with plenty of seating and space. Property was very well maintained. Communication excellent as always. Bathrooms are a bit small, and master bath could use an update. And we wish there was a ladder on dock to make it easier to get in and out of water. But these are both very minor. Last thing, bring big spray, no see-ums got us good :(

Family Time!

Four generations enjoyed a week full of fun at the beach, in the house, and on the property! The house had everything we needed and was exactly as described. Diane’s communication was excellent. We love getting away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds and this property was a great fit!

Excellent stay - very nice!

We enjoyed the home. It was very relaxing, spacious, and comfortable. We enjoyed the extras like paddle board, hot tub, and tiki bar! It is short walk across the street to the beach. We rented the golf cart which added to enjoyment and seeing the island. Communication from owner was very detailed and clear. Diane was very responsive. We enjoyed the stay and would definitely recommend.

Wonderful beach vacation

Changes in Attitudes is a lovely, clean home located on Don Pedro Island. This location is great because it is steps away from the beach, and since located on the intracoastal waterway, allowed us to paddle board, kayak, and swim in the backyard. Best of both worlds. We will be back!

Summer Vacation

Loved Changes in Attitudes! Our first time to the island. My 3 teenagers had so much fun and could basically come and go easily. Very close to the beach and easy access. Enjoyed sitting on the screened in deck every evening. Diane is great and super attentive—any questions or concerns, she’s right on it. She was very easy to work with. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

Summer Paradise

CIA was amazing! Exactly as described. Diane, the property manager, was attentive and easily accessible. The beach was a short walk from the home, and it was quiet and peaceful. We loved seeing the turtles and rabbits in our backyard. Highly recommend!

FUN PLACE

The week was super windy and the surf was rough. We were so thankful to have all the activities that this home provided! The host really has thought of everything and is very communicative throughout the entire process. Loved it and will definitely go again!

We live in New Jersey and have been traveling to the Gulf Coast beaches for our recreation and vacations for over 22 years. The boating is fantastic and our time with our family has created a bunch of fond memories for us. Most Florida beaches are overbuilt and congested – it's hard to find a beach with so few people and so underdeveloped. Quite refreshing to say the least. We chose Don Pedro Island (Palm Island) for the natural beauty and 'Old Florida' feel. This chain of islands just may be the last true Florida beach you can walk down (7 miles long) and hardly see another person. We also liked that there are no beach bars and no high-rise buildings. It is the best of Old Florida, natural, unspoiled and a genuine paradise.

Varför värden valde detta boende

We decided to purchase a home here for the unspoiled beauty of the island and the area in general. Englewood is a low-key Old Florida 'beach town' that reminds you of how Florida looked many years ago, without the huge high-rise condominiums and massive hotels clogging the beach and blocking your views. There are plenty of local 'home-grown' shops and restaurants and the fishing is some of the best in world. The beaches are fantastic and the boating is world-class. If you are looking for a great family area that is close to everything, but far away from the congestion, traffic and noise, you'd be hard pressed to find a better place. The only way to get on and off the island is by a 3 minute car ferry ride. Having no bridge to the island allows for a semi-private atmosphere and keeps beach going traffic to an absolute minimum. The island is all residential other than the resort area at the north end of Palm Island which offers a restaurant, deli and ice cream shop and small convenience store. Most all of the island traffic is by golf cart.

Staying on the island is not for everyone. If you like lots of places to shop, tourist attractions, beach bars and chain restaurants, this isn't the place for you. On the other hand, if you are looking for uncrowded and long deserted stretches of beach, great kayaking, fishing and swinging in a hammock under some breezy palms, this may be just the place. It's for a couple or family that wants some serious down-time ... a place to unplug and recharge your batteries and enjoy some great family time. Our house is pet-friendly with wood or tile floors throughout, a private outdoor shower (which is great for pets!) with a huge downstairs entertainment area complete with your own Tiki Bar. You'll also enjoy a private dock overlooking the lagoon and a great screened wrap-around porch. Our landscaping is all Florida native and offers a very private, resort-style environment.
