Holiday house Hout Bay for 1 - 5 persons with 2 bedrooms - Holiday house
ED Refnr. 3026506
Our holiday homes are located on a park-like property on a beautiful avenue in a residential area in the wine-growing region of Constantia (suburb), in the green Constantia Valley behind Table Mountain.
Constantia is one of the poshest parts of Cape Town. The lovely landscape makes you forget that you are in the middle of a big city. The villas are surrounded by park-like gardens, some also have paddocks and vineyards.
On the Constantia Valley Wine Route, you can get to know the famous wineries in the green valley of Constantia. Groot Constantia was founded at the end of the 17th century and was given to the first governor of the Cape, Simon van der Stel, as an experimental farm for agricultural products, who mainly developed viticulture here and made Constantia wine world-famous. The Cape Dutch mansion now houses a museum that gives an insight into the life of the first Cape settlers.
A stone's throw away is the Klein Constantia wineries, famous for its white wines, and Buitenverwachting, home to one of Cape Town's most exclusive restaurants. The access via an avenue lined with mighty oaks is an experience. Constantia Uitsig also has a top restaurant to offer. A walk across the extensive estate is worthwhile simply because of the great view of the Constantia Valley. The Steenberg winery is located at the end of the valley. At the beginning of the 1990s, an 18-hole golf course was built here, as well as a hotel and a restaurant.
Constantia is very easy to reach via the two expressways M3 and M5, which you can access before Cape Town from the N2 motorway, which runs directly past the airport. The apartments are approximately 2km from the M3 Kendall Road junction, very convenient to all points of interest to tourists. Rental cars can be provided on-site, and shuttle service from/to the airport is offered for a fee.
