The charming duplex-style apartment is located on the ground floor of an ancient Ticino house expertly restored in 2022 (CĂ Nizza) in Marolta (hamlet of Acquarossa in the Blenio Valley). The place offers the possibility of a relaxing and regenerating stay in a so-called âenergy placeâ in contact with nature and traditions of one of the most fascinating valleys in the South of the Alps. The building, built from the end of 1700, retains the typical characteristics of the time: rainy roof, mighty stone walls, centuries-old larch beams, typical balcony terraces and large stone vaulted cellars.
The apartment takes its name from the presence in the living room of an original Pigna (ancient soapstone stove) dated 1789 and is characterized by the skilful integration of ancient elements (massive granite and wood floors, original ceiling beams, restored doors and details) with the most modern comforts (combined kitchen, open fireplace, bathtub with whirlpool The furniture is also a mixture of tradition and contemporaneity: refined and functional at the same time to allow you to fully enjoy the particular energy that the house releases.
The apartment is arranged on two floors: kitchen and living room on the ground floor and 2 bedrooms with bathroom on the first floor, connected by a comfortable walnut staircase. The apartment also has an outdoor terrace for exclusive use (accessible directly from the living room) from which you can reach the large common garden of the house. The ancient vaulted cellars of the building are also accessible and offer the possibility of using some delicacies of the territory (cheeses, wines, etc.).
Ideal for couples or families who want to spend one or more weeks immersed in the beautiful scenery offered by the natural basin in which Marolta is located, in an ancient building full of history, but without sacrificing intimacy and modern comforts.
Marolta can be reached by public transport or car. For those arriving by public transport, the official timetables should be consulted, in particular those of the Autolinee Bleniesi; for those arriving by car, there is a public car park located 50 metres from CĂ Nizza.
The place offers countless possibilities for hiking or mountain biking starting either directly from the house, or after short trips to the Lukmanier region, the Greina valley or the Nara area.
