What a lovely stay we had at this cottage. It was spotless and supplied everything we needed. Easy access to all the attractions, restaurants, beach and other beach towns. It is on a very quiet street so we truly appreciated that! We thank you, Jeffrey!

Our time in Ocean Grove was idyllic. The cottage played a big part in that. If you like cottages and the simplicity of beach cottage living you’ll appreciate this place. Our three person (2 adults, one big teen) family was quite comfortable. Mornings on the porch, readings, and dinners outside were great. Geographically well situated. To beach and shops. The bikes were great to explore neighboring towns. Looking forward to returning.

The Ocean Grove cottage was perfect for our last summer getaway before the start of school. Our host, Jeff was excellent getting us virtually set up for our visit and our daughters were the perfect ages to use the sleeping loft. The amenities at this charming spot fit us to a tee, from the family games in the closet to the snacks packed in the beach bag to the bag of ice conveniently waiting in the adorable vintage style Fridgedaire. We loved walking to the beach and playing in the surf, then taking turns rinsing off in the outdoor shower. Explored Ocean Grove, Asbury Park and Bradley Beach for delicious meals and ice cream. Heard a little live music and admired the Great Auditorium and its beautiful acoustics. We are already hoping to visit again! Magical family time and memories to tide us over until we get to return.

The hosts at Garden Beach Cottage clearly know what beach guests actually need. Two bikes meant we never needed the car for anything local, a great addition in a beach town with limited parking. We biked to the boardwalk, beach, ice cream, all of it. The beach setup was perfect: chairs, towels and a caddy. The cottage itself is adorable (but yes, small). The hosts were incredibly responsive. I would definitely book again.

“A perfect retreat — we didn't wanted to leave”From the moment we saw that enchanting garden we knew this trip was going to be special. The garden is lush, private, and feels like a secret little world tucked away from everything. The cottage is as charming as in the photos. It has good energy: cozy, thoughtfully decorated, full of character. The front porch is where we spent most of our mornings — coffee in hand, listening to the birds. I missed having a dishwasher for a hot second, but then my daughter reminded me that I hate doing dishes when we are on vacation! So we explored downtown Ocean Grove instead — and ended up having one of the best afternoons of the whole trip. The beach is an easy walk, and the cottage came with two bikes so we loved going for ice cream by bike every night!

We had a wonderful stay with our friends! The house was quaint but fit us comfortably. We made a few meals at the house and had all we needed in the kitchen. Walking to the beach and shops were easy! Would love to come back when the weather is nicer to enjoy the beautiful outside areas more. Thank you for a wonderful beach weekend!

We loved our stay! The cottage was perfect for our family and even more spacious than we anticipated. It was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We especially appreciated that it was within easy walking distance of both the beach and a playground. Great communication and easy check in, too!

We loved staying here for the first time at the shore. We actually came for a lacrosse camp at the Capelli Sports complex up the road. The location was great - it was quiet at night and there was ample street parking. It rained and my daughter loved reading outside on the porch. The pictures were accurate and while it is a cottage, it was well stocked - and everything was labeled so things were easy to find. We did not use the bikes but walked to the beach and enjoyed strolling down the boardwalk. We would definitely stay here again! Oh and the hosts were super responsive, which is always appreciated!

Om värden

Värdens profilbild
Longtime Jersey shore fans who took the plunge to own a piece of heaven! New Jersey born and raised, we are a family who loves the ocean, the beach, the rock n roll atmosphere and summer days in the sun.

Varför värden valde detta boende

Adorable, quiet and a respite from crowds. Wonderful neighbors, welcoming community, and a walkable / strollable delight everywhere you look. The Victorian architecture in the surrounding blocks are truly stunning. And so close to Asbury Park - the restaurants, the shopping and the music!

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The beach cottage is similar to a lot of the cottages you see in Ocean Grove...but we are unique because we have a significant amount of outdoor space. A gardener's dream! Plenty of areas for sitting, catching up with friends, or having a lovely al fresco dining experience. Don't forget the classic spa-like outdoor shower as well!
