The 3-storey terraced end house is located in a tastefully designed complex on the edge of the coastal town of La Herradura at an altitude of around 180 metres above sea level. The Andalusian-style residential and holiday complex has a total of 100 houses and many small, beautifully planted green areas.
The comfortable holiday home offers breathtaking views over the bay of La Herradura, the village and the surrounding mountains. The Cerro Gordo nature reserve, which is ideal for long walks in the countryside, begins right next to the house. You can often spot wild mountain goats and ibex.
The tastefully furnished holiday home with 150 square metres of living space has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living/dining room and a beautiful south-facing sun terrace.
There is also a separate studio flat for two people on the ground floor which can also be rented if a total of 7 or 8 people wish to book the house.
Access to the house is at ground level. On the ground floor there is a 30 square metre apartment-studio which was only extended in 2022. The flat is designed for two people and consists of a shared living room/bedroom with double bed, fitted kitchen and small dining area. The modern bathroom with walk-in shower is barrier-free, as is the entire flat.
On the first floor of the holiday home are the three bedrooms for up to 6 people, one of which is the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The other two bedrooms share the second bathroom. All rooms are furnished with comfortable double beds and wardrobes and are south-facing. A staircase leads upstairs to the living/dining area, the fully equipped kitchen with wonderful views of the Mediterranean, the guest toilet and the sun terrace. The kitchen is equipped with a ceramic hob, oven, extractor bonnet, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, espresso machine, toaster and kettle.
All bedrooms and the living room are equipped with split air conditioning units, which were installed in 2022. The terrace has comfortable seating lounges and a dining table for 6 people. If required, the terrace can be shaded by an electric awning and a large parasol. Fast fibre optic internet is available throughout the house. In the living room there is a large smart TV on which you can watch German and Spanish programmes as well as internet services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. For the winter months, the entire house is equipped with central heating with modern radiators.
In front of the house, a quiet access road leads to the other houses as a cul-de-sac, so that only local traffic drives past here. Two parking spaces are reserved for you directly at the house on the street.
Just a few steps away from the house is the well-kept, spacious communal pool area with main pool and children's pool as well as free sun loungers, from where you can enjoy a wonderful view over the bay of La Herradura. Right next to the pool area are two paddle tennis courts with artificial turf, which were modernised in 2023 and are available for free use.
The house was built in 2004 and has been owned by a German-South American family since spring 2020.
La Herradura, which is often referred to as the jewel of the Costa Tropical, is a small, authentic coastal village with around 5000 inhabitants, where you will usually find more locals than tourists. The beaches of La Herradura and CantarrijĂĄn are around 2.5 km and 4.5 km away respectively and the village with its wide range of shops, bars and restaurants is around 5 km away. A private vehicle is recommended due to the difference in altitude.
La Herradura, the neighbouring towns of Nerja and Almuñecar and the coastal areas in between offer a large number of beautiful beaches. The coastal area is considered one of the most beautiful in Spain. The cities of Malaga and Granada, the latter with the famous Alhambra, are only about an hour's drive and 80 km from the house respectively. In the mountains a short distance from the coast you will discover a varied landscape and the famous picturesque "white villages" of Andalusia, such as Frigiliana or Competa.
You can practise a variety of summer and winter sports. Starting with a wide range of water sports (windsurfing, kayaking, stand-up paddle, etc.) in the immediate vicinity. La Herradura is famous for its attractive diving spots. From beautiful hiking areas in the Alpujarras with their picturesque mountain villages such as Lanjarón, Capileira and Trevélez (approx. 90 minutes away by car) to alpine skiing in the Sierra Nevada (approx. 120 minutes away by car) and much more, there is something for everyone.
