Vacation in architectural monument combines heritage conservation and tourism. Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model provides a double benefit: the monuments are given a revitalised future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the âVacation in architectural monumentâ foundation, which was set up by the Swiss Heritage Society in 2005.
Public transport: To BĂŒmpliz Nord railway station, from there a 2-minute walk.
Car: From the A1, exit 33 âBern Bethlehemâ, via Eymattstrasse and BĂŒmplizstrasse into MĂŒhledorfstrasse (approx. 5 min)Parking: One parking space available in the underground car park.
Number of persons 4-6: 1 double room (2 beds) / 2 single rooms, each with a bed and a guest mattress. Cot and high chair (up to 2 years) are also available.
Season: All year round
Short holidays: Possible all year round.
Outdoor space: A balcony with a view of the Fribourg Alps and the Jura, as well as shared use of the roof terrace on the 20th floor.
