Härlig stor privat svit, familjevänlig, privat sandstrand 20 steg från dörren! Fönster från golv till tak ger panoramautsikt mot det öppna Stilla havet, Lennard Island fyr och Tonquin Beach. Den nya Tonquin Trail börjar i slutet av Tonquin stranden och leder genom jungfru regnskog, plattformsutsikter över Templar Channel och ytterligare två vackra sandstränder. UNESCO Biosphere of Clayoquot Sound ligger precis utanför dörren. Upptäck historien bakom vraket från Tonquin!
De tre sovrummen, två badrumsvit, stort vardagsrum, matsal, med handgjorda balkar, vedeldad spis och soldäck skapar en atmosfär som inte replikeras i andra Tofino-hem. Det finns en king size-säng i sovrummet med intilliggande tre delar badrum, drottning sovrum med helt ny dusch badrum och tvåbäddsrum med extra långa enkelsängar. Vardagsrummet är tillräckligt rymligt för spel, öppen spis och platt-TV. Matbordet har plats för 8 bekvämt. Ett stort söderläge soldäck sveper runt de tre sovrummen med utsikt över Tonquin Beach. Vid huvudingången finns det ett litet täckt däck med stor barb-b-que.
Efter trappsteg ned till stranden på en kort spår finns en vacker sandstrand i fickan, perfekt för solnedgångar, utomhusstrandspel eller en korvstekt. En lång strandpromenad kan avnjutas från den privata stranden till Tonquin Beach och vidare vid lågvatten. Tonquin Beach är en dold skatt, med kulturhistoria, natursköna vikar och en naturlig sötvattenspool perfekt för små barn att njuta av. Vi har också en trampolin på fastigheten som är tillgänglig med övervakning! För de som är intresserade av fiske kan du fiska direkt utanför klipporna framför huset vid högvatten!
Om du föredrar kan du gå 1 km. väg till staden för att njuta av en kvällsmåltid eller shoppa.
Vi har boogyboards tillgängliga att låna utan extra kostnad! Njut av den enkla Tofino-upplevelsen att surfa, fiska och vandra och äta på de bästa restaurangerna på Vancouver Island! Vi kommer att tillhandahålla all information du behöver för att göra din upplevelse här minnesvärd!

Lovely property

Spacious and well appointed property. GPS was not accurate so heed the directions from the host. Ocean views from every room and a large great room with a Wood burning fireplace.

Wow’y wow WOW!!!

This place is everything that the listing describes and more! The grounds, view and staired path winding down to the quiet beach are breathtaking! The suite is nicely decorated, spacious, comfortable and offers gorgeous views from every room. The host is lovely, welcoming and helpful but also gave us complete privacy. I can’t seem to find the words to properly express just how gorgeous this property is! It was difficult leaving and we can’t wait to return. Thanks so much :)

Great Tofino Getaway

Very comfortable three bedroom property with a nice big eating and living area, walks to a private beach to watch the sun set, and right at the start of the Tonquin Trail. Also walking distance to the town of Tofino. Wonderful hosts. We will be back.

Great spot on the beach!

Overall the stay was everything they claimed it would be. Well worth it in my opinion! Could be some improvements in the signage for where to park vehicles and a sign directing you downstairs towards the beach since there are multiple buildings on the lot.

One week in paradise

The location "on the beach" was perfect for our family. The seaview, just a few footsteps to the private beach and the sound of the waves are unique. The suite was well equiped and offered enough space for our family of 5, with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The distance to the city (restaurants, supermarket, etc.) is easy to walk. We hope, coming back again one day.

Family Tofino visit

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Tonquin Beach! The suite is just off the beach and was super comfortable for our family of five (3 teens included). We had beautiful weather (October!) and spent many moments day:night on the beach just a few steps out our door. We saw sea otters, seals, porpoise and a myriad of birds. We explored Pacific Rim National Park - meandering several beautiful beaches and a few rainforest trails as well. The home itself is very inviting and comfortable; our host was kind and attentive and informative. We would love to return and highly recommend a stay here!

Like stepping into a movie set!

Couldn't ask for more! Lovely owners of the property - very accommodating and friendly. And GORGEOUS location. We loved taking our 2 year old son down to the private beach, just steps from our door. It's a nice walk into town and a quick drive to the beaches with good surf. The house is also adjacent to Tonquin Beach/Park which is a lesser known gem of Tofino. With just about 180 degrees of ocean views from the bedrooms, it made coming home a bit difficult! We felt comfortable, relaxed, and all around very lucky to have found such a beautiful place to retreat to. We will certainly be going back to On the Beach!!

Just what we hoped for!

With so many scammers out there, I find it hard to trust by photo alone. The pictures and write up looked great, the reviews were awesome, but still I wasn't 100% sure. I was so pleased to discover that this rental was exactly as advertised! The rental space was beautiful and comfortable, perfect for the 6 of us. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The view and the beach were everything we had hoped it would be. Located near downtown Tofino, although you would never know it, it was convenient to shopping and dining. We ate great food, had campfires, played at the beach with the kids, and slept like babies at the end of the day. I would rent this beautiful accommodation again in a heartbeat!

Fabulous property!

This was one of the most enjoyable properties I've stayed at with VRBO. The remote-feeling location right next to town perfectly captured the beauty of Vancouver Island, complete with a little cove beach that we had to ourselves. The house was well-appointed and large enough to comfortably accommodate 6 people. It was cold and windy while we were there, but the front room's huge widows and view of the beach made us feel like we still got to enjoy the scenery. Unfortunately, it was too windy to enjoy a nice, private fire ring that is located down a short path, right above the beach. We did hike the 3kmTonquin Trail down to Middle Beach and thought it was well worth the time - the board walk winds through old-growth forest between beautiful coastal views. Two things to be aware of for this property: 1) you'll need to carry your luggage down a well-built, but longer set of stairs to access the property; 2) The residential portion of town starts very near this property, but the commercial downtown is a pleasant 10-15 min. walk.

This is perfect property for our family, right of top of two beaches for our son to spend time in & about the water. It's also a mere 10 minute walk to town, so no need for parking & paying for same when you just need a few things or want to grab a bite. Cathy & Steve are very hospitable hosts; the beds are comfy & kitchen well stocked. We'll be back!

This is a lovely location, high bank waterfront, beautiful views, lovely little pocket beach down some stairs, and a lovely fire pit for s’mores with the kids in the evenings. The unit was spotless on arrival, and has 3 large bedrooms and two bathrooms.Not so good for toddlers (we had a one year old and a 3 year old with us) are the numbers of stairs. (To get down to the unit, to get to the beach, and 3 tiled stairs to get from the living area to the bedrooms and bathrooms.). Since toddlers love stairs we had to keep a constant guard on them going up and down. Not a huge problem but something to consider if you have little ones.I was surprised to find after I booked this that despite this being listed on VRBO, it is a ground floor suite in a house with the hosts living upstairs. When I went back to read the detailed description more closely the fact it is a suite is apparent but the “house” description on the main ad misled me into thinking I had booked a full house, it being a VRBO and all. Again, not a huge issue but something to consider.Hosts were for the most part respectful but for one incident of chastising my daughter for taking photos on the beach (of her pregnant sister as a wedding gift). The host did come by later to apologize but this was certainly awkward.So, if you want a beautiful location with a semi private pocket beach and a very nice suite in the hosts house, this is as nice as they get.

Fantastic Beach House

We stayed a few nights and really enjoyed our time here and in Tofino. Our hosts were very responsive and communicative. The house was very comfortable and taken care of. We loved the private access to the available beach portion and then explored more during low tide. We even took the opportunity to have a fire one of the mornings! The walk into town is not bad at all if you don’t want to look for parking. Would definitely come back!

We bought our house in 1989, and began doing Bed and Breakfast in Tofino in 1990, as one of only 5 homes to do so. In 1998 we converted the main floor of the large house into a private vacation rental suite, allowing guests to share our experience of living 'on the beach'. My husband works at the hospital in Tofino, as a physician, and I serve on the District of Tofino Council, Tonquin Trail Committee, and the Clayoquot Biosphere Trust.

Varför värden valde detta boende

We chose this property for its 1.3 acre south and west facing beachfront, and its proximity to town and the local hospital! It is a very unique property, with two beaches, hiking trail, great kayaking, 'supping' opportunities, whale watching, breath-taking sunsets, and the best low tide viewing on the Tofino coastline. You can even surf on Tonquin Beach in the winter! The sunsets here are sublime!
