The holiday resort of Rangersdorf is located at an altitude of 864 metres, not far from the Italian border, in the popular Mölltal holiday region of Carinthia's Hohe Tauern National Park.

The region's four ski areas— Grossglockner/Heiligenblut, Mölltaler Glacier, Ankogel/Mallnitz, and the Emberger Alm family ski area —are the highest in all of Carinthia. With more than 150 kilometres of pistes, they guarantee absolute snow safety and a successful mix of clarity and variety. Family pistes alternate with freeride zones here, so carvers and snow powder fans alike get their money's worth. The south-facing Zettersfeld ski area near Lienz is particularly sun-drenched, with over 20 kilometres of slopes, almost all of which are suitable for families and where the young snowboarder and freerider scene can let off steam in the Sunsite Park. At an altitude of up to 2,278 meters, you can enjoy a fantastic view over the Dolomites! All five ski areas can be easily reached by car in 20 to 30 minutes.

There is also a wide range of winter activities outside the ski slopes. The entire region offers more than 40 ski touring routes, several toboggan runs and hiking and snowshoeing routes.

Carinthia's National Park Hohe Tauern region is also the perfect place for an active summer holiday. Vast glacier landscapes, challenging mountain sides, idyllic green lakes and majestic waterfalls await you here, all connected by a diverse network of hiking trails and mountain paths.
