Liebenfels is located in Carinthia, Austria's southernmost province, and is surrounded by pure nature. It offers beautiful hiking, biking, and riding trails. The city of Klagenfurt, the famous Wörthersee lake, and Italy can be reached in just 30 minutes by car!

The Simonhöhe, a hiking and biking paradise, and in winter, the nearest ski resort with 15 kilometres of slopes and seven lifts, can be reached by car in under 15 minutes. In this family ski resort, beginners, pleasure skiers and experienced skiers alike will find the best conditions for real skiing fun. Other well-known ski resorts, such as the Bad Kleinkirchheim ski area with 103 kilometres of slopes and the Gerlitzen Alpe ski area with 52 kilometres of beautiful, snow-covered slopes, can be easily reached in about 1 hour by car.

The region offers numerous hiking trails and cycling routes for extensive leisure activities. In the summer, the Kraigersee in Frauenstein, the Urbansee in Sankt Urban, the idyllic Goggausee in Steuerberg, the Zmulner See in Liebenfels, or the Längsee in Sankt Georgen offer plenty of swimming fun! You can reach the famous Wörthersee and Ossiacher See in around 15-30 kilometres by car, and in Sankt Veit an der Glan, there is a public indoor and outdoor pool. A holiday in Liebenfels is also perfect for culture and history lovers, as the region is home to numerous old castles, ruins, and churches with their unique charm.
