Lyxig fjällstuga med 4 sovrum och 4 badrum på en avskild egendom på 25 tunnland nära centrum av Fayetteville (1 mil) och New River Gorge Bridge and park (2 miles). Huset ombyggdes i början av 2014 och öppnades för semesterbostäder från och med maj 2014. Sugar Creek Chalet ligger 1/4 kilometer från Ramsey Mountain Lodge (VRBO 452740), båda ägs av Bill och Sally Wells. Källaren har ett sovrum med 4 våningssängar, ett familjerum med en bäddsoffa i queen size-storlek och ett badrum. Familjerummet har ett spelbord och fotbollsbord. Sugar Creek Chalet rymmer 10 till 15 personer och stora grupper upp till 28 personer kan rymmas genom att hyra både Sugar Creek Chalet och Ramsey Mountain Lodge (VRBO # 452740)

Perfect for Our Family Christmas

We're a family of 14. Eight adults and six children ages 2 years to 12 years. Plus two large dogs...This house was perfect for our needs. The house is located at the end of a county lane and although there were other houses nearby we never saw or heard anyone. There was a large yard for the kids to play and a fenced backyard for the dogs. A basement with game table and TV allowed the kids to have their own space. The kitchen was large and well equipped. I brought things like a large pot and baking sheets but didn't need to get any of that out of the car. There was a wonderful fire pit which we enjoyed and a fireplace in the house. Plenty of towels and even towels and bowls for the dogs. Loved that the house is located near the New River Gorge National Park and Babcock State Park. We had no trouble with the WiFi or cell phone reception. It was difficult to find a house that would accept our large family and our large dogs so I was very happy to find this house and very pleased with everything. Just to note - there are stairs to the basement and to the upstairs but our almost 3 year old had no problem navigating them. The master bedroom is on the 1st floor so if anyone has issues with stairs they can use that bedroom and bath. Lots of full bathrooms which is really nice for a large group!Perfect place to spend our family Christmas. No one wanted to leave!

Great place for family gatherings

We rented for our family of 15 to gather for Thanksgiving and the house exceeded our expectations. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep, the kitchen was huge and well equipped, plus plenty of seating for eating. The grounds were beautiful! The extra plus was there was a fenced area for dogs, and even a tray on the floor with dog dishes, along with dog towels for wiping paws as they came inside. The owners thought of everything! It's a beautiful home and we highly recommend this property.

Family Vacation

The house was a great fit for our family. The right amount of bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen had what we needed to fix our family meals each day. The yard was great for the grandchildren to run around and play outside. We used the fire pit in the evening. While there are neighbors, you don’t see them or hear them.

Another Very Enjoyable Stay

This property is well suited for a large group. It is minutes from Fayetteville, is quiet and easy to get to. The house is clean and updated and the owners provide all of the things you would need to be comfortable. The instructions and communications are very good. It was perfect for our group and we really have no complaints.

Relaxing stay and very enjoyable trip

My family spent a long weekend at this property in October of 2024 and we had a very enjoyable time! We had a mix of family members (people in their 70s, 40’s, 30s, and young children) and everyone enjoyed the house and property! The ability spread out in the house is great! We had kids playing downstairs in the game room, adults watching football and cooking upstairs, and another group outside around the fire pit. We loved this ability to all do different things, yet still be together! Cooking in the kitchen is very easily and even has two separate sinks! There are plenty of bathrooms, so you are never having to wait, and we never ran out of hot water. There are two decks and one screened-in patio which allow you to spread out outside the house as well. The property is very pet friendly and there is a very nice fenced in dog run area out back. The laundry area was very handy and convenient as well as access to the garage. Another great feature of this property is its proximity to the town of Fayetteville and outdoor activities at New River Gorge, yet, because of the size of the property you feel like you are out in the middle of nowhere! We LOVED the privacy and seclusion of this home and at the same time being close to everything. Stargazing from the outdoor deck is great as you are away from the city lights. We loved the outdoor fire pit and having those built-in stone seats are perfect (height, distance from the fire, etc.).

1st Big Family Vacation

They pictures do not do this property justice. The pictures make the property look a bit dated but it is not. Spacious, clean, comfortable, private and welcoming. Our twin grandsons enjoyed pitching a tent in the loft. Our grown kids loved the privacy in the basement bunkroom next to the gameroom. The only complaint i have was that the master only had a queen bed. Must property we spend this amount of money master hold a king. Besides that we had enough bathrooms, sleeping, seating and cooking space.

Great Large House Near Fayettville WV

Great large house well suited for a large family, extended family and the like. House was clean and well stocked. It was out in the woods and only a few miles from Fayettville, activities, trails, rafting and excellent restaurants.

Wonderful rental!

We loved our stay. There were plenty of beds and plenty of bathrooms! The kitchen was furnished with everything a person would need to prepare meals. The location is peaceful and quiet. We'd surely stay again!

Absolutely beautiful home

This is a beautiful, welcoming home. Every possible amenities available. Well stock kitchen ( just bring your food). Great yard for outside fun. Close to the new River gorge, Summerville lake. Recommend Pies and pint's for a meal. Visit the Gaines estate on Wednesday night for karaoke. This has such an amazing history to it. This is owned by the same couple that own Sugar Creek Chalet. If I could I would give it a ten star review.

Great stay!

Our party of 10 (4 adults, 6 kids) had a great time at the chalet. Our kids especially loved the expansive front lawn for wiffle ball games and all of the nooks and crannies in the house for hide and seek. The location is very central to so many outdoor activities in the area. The chalet was well-stocked with bathroom necessities (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc), laundry detergent, kitchen tools and utensils, and linens. The absolute only thing negative is the bedding for the adults (queen bed and full bed) weren't the most comfortable. Sizing up to a king and queen would make it perfect.

Close to everything

We had a wonderful stay! The property was beautiful and well maintained. We were so close to all the activities the area has to offer. Highly recommend. The owners were highly responsive.

Bill Wells är värd

Bill and Sally Wells are the owners of the Sugar Creek Chalet and live nearby on the 25 acre property. Sally grew up next door and Bill is a native of Upper St. Clair, PA. The Wells purchased Sally's homeplace in 2007 and moved into their home on the property in 2012. They remodeled the original house (Ramsey Mountain Lodge) into a vacation rental that opened in May 2013. The adjoining neighbor’s house came on the market in December 2013 and the Wells purchased the house for a vacation rental to be opened in May 2014.

Varför värden valde detta boende

Sally grew up on the property in the house that her father built in the early 1950's. We both enjoy outdoor recreation and love Fayetteville and the New River Gorge. I had a job opportunity in nearby Beckley, WV that allowed us to move the Fayetteville in 2012 and open our first vacation rental in 2013. We purchased our neighbors house in late 2013 when they were transferred to South Carolina. The new house has been remodeled and and opened in May of 2014.

You will be staying in a secluded, woodland setting in a luxury mountain chalet that is also within walking distance (1.5 miles) of downtown Fayetteville where you will find many excellent restaurants and shops. No other vacation rental property in Fayetteville offers the same combination of affordable price, secluded mountain setting, convenient location to town and luxury accommodations.
