The Anchor Point Captain Cook Lodge Àr ett fullt utrustat log fritidshus med 6 bÀddar och 2 fulla bad och 1620 kvm. Ft. Av vardagsrum. TvÄ av sÀngarna Àr sÀngar. Par kommer att njuta av den hÀr hÀrliga timmerbyggnad och det Àr en favorit för större familjer och andra grupper. Den första vÄningen har ett fullt utrustat kök, ett matbord med plats för 8, allrum med nöjescentrum, HD platt-TV, lÀder fÄtölj möbler och databord med Wi-Fi; badrum med dusch / badkar, tvÀttstuga med stor kapacitet tvÀttmaskin och torktumlare, och ett sovrum med en logg dubbelsÀng. En ett-or-a-kind log trappa leder till stort loft med fyra enkelsÀngar, en logg dubbelsÀng plus en fullstÀndig dusch / badkar badkar. Framsidan av byggnaden har en stor öppen veranda med gas BBQ och bord och tecken. Det finns massor av speciella funktioner i denna byggnad inklusive omfattande handen sniderier och artiklar erkÀnner upptÀcktsresanden kapten James Cook, som ligger för ankar utanför stranden hÀr maj 1778. Cook namngav denna plats "Anchor Point" efter hans skepp HMS Resolution förlorat en stor ankare hÀr pÄ 28 maj 1778.

We loved being out away from towns but not too far to travel into Homer or take small drives to see wildlife near our location. Very comfortable and unique place to stay!

Amazing cabin with a peaceful setting. Pay attention to the artistic and handcrafted details it’s incredible. The host John was great, excellent communication and ensured we had everything we needed. We will be back again for sure.

Only was able to spend one night at the Captain Cook Lodge. Beautiful cabin and very well equipped and comfortable. Close to Homer. Right off the highway but was quiet.

Lovely property

We love coming to Homer for an annual family trip each year and this spot did not disappoint. The upstairs area is a large space with 5 beds all in one open bunk area with one bathroom. The house was clean, well stoked, and perfect for what we needed for a weekend fishing trip.

Reservations for Bear Paw adventure are managed by John, SR from the Bear Paw Adventure reservation office in Texas. In addition to operating Bear Paw Adventure, the family has interests & hobbies that include hunting & fishing, camping, hiking, boating, wildlife viewing, birding, gardening, log work (both log building construction and log furniture making), photography, geology, the environment, hunting for gold, snowmobiling, traveling Alaska, art, collecting (coins, rocks, stamps, fossils, etc), Alaska Native culture, and just about anything else associated with the outdoors or Alaska. Bear Paw Adventure engages in environmentally conscious cleaning practices and is a member of Adventure Green Alaska.

Bear Paw Adventure’s unique log buildings are situated on 14+ acres of an old homestead site. This use of the property is the first since the homestead days. We have attempted to keep the site, to the extent practical, as we found it. Evidence of the homestead activities can still be seen on the land. The slope of the land protects the property, to some extent, from the brisk winds off Cook Inlet. It is a nearly wild site with lots of spruce trees, alders and wildflower and a great place to watch for moose, eagles, ravens and other wildlife.
