The Taggart House är en stor egendom i hjärtat av Berkshires. Fastigheten är en 5-minuters promenad till centrum av Stockbridge, men ändå lugnt läge på 3 anlagda hektar längs Housatonic River. Den Taggart House byggdes 1850 av noterade Stockbridge bosatt Henry Dwight Sedgwick. Nyligen lades till det nationella registret över historiska platser, det Taggart House kombinerar fina 19th century arkitektur med lyxig komfort och moderna bekvämligheter.

The Taggart House exceeded our expectations. We were a group 5 women, grade school BFFs, celebrating a milestone birthday….. loved having our own bedrooms and bathrooms, more so because they were totally renovated. The sun porch was our favorite spot for everything - cozy, comfy and gorgeous. Our hosts happened to be nearby over the weekend and even set up our evening fire pit to ensure the required s’more-fest was a success. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at the Taggart House - what a memorable place! We are five couples who get together every other year and this was the perfect place for us. There are so many things to mention: the feeling of staying in this gracious and historic home; the care with which it has been restored; the ability to accommodate all five couples in lovely, comfortable rooms (with en suites) that pleased us all; the size and usability of the well-stocked kitchen; the gracious dining room that could seat our entire group; the fun (and oft-used) billiards room; the wonderful sun porch that opened up to the beautiful back yard; and the easy proximity to so many of the historic places that the Berkshires has to offer. Well done Caitlin and George!I speak for our group in saying that we would not hesitate to recommend the Taggart House to others planning to visit the area - and we hope to return for another memorable stay.

Historic and lovely place to stay

My new wife and I decided to use this property to have our immediate families stay for our wedding, and it worked out very well! The hosts were responsive and easy to work with, and the home itself was everything we needed.

our group of 10 returned to this beautiful property for the second time. Everything was wonderful, but most especially , the location and the quick responsiveness from the owners. We highly recommend this property.

Group trip

House is great for a group trip! Had a girls weekend here, enough rooms and beds for everyone (12) and close to all cute Berkshires towns. Place is huge and gorgeous. Plenty of space and gorgeous patio and fire pit.

Perfect location

Our group of 10 friends really enjoyed this beautiful historic property. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space and yet wonderful, large areas where we could all gather together. We especially appreciated the location, so close to the center of Stockbridge, which afforded us the opportunity to take many walks around the area.

Amazing property

We had an amazing time. We had several out of town guests who stayed at the home and then a birthday party with local guests in the ballroom. The ballroom is absolutely stunning. The chef enjoyed the kitchen. There was plenty of parking and a beautiful setting. I would stay again.

We were in Stockbridge for the first time for our annual family Thanksgiving and orienteering event. Most stayed at the inn, but some rented the Taggert House as a place where family could easily be together It was perfect and so conveniently located a short and beautiful walk to town. The house is huge, the kitchen is roomy and well-stocked, the beds were comfortable and each bedroom had its own bathroom. The pool table was a big hit. Parking was easy. The owners couldn’t have been nicer or more responsive. I highly recommend the Taggert House and, if your group is extra large, also rent their River House just behind it. Five stars plus. We will be back!

Wonderful family home in the Berkshires

Perfect home for hosting multiple families. Tons of en suite bathrooms and king-sized beds. Only ten minutes by car from Tanglewood and walking distance to Naum Keeg and Main Street shops. It’s really a gem.

“Girls” weekend in Stockbridge

6 old but fun couples!

Beautiful property with all the amenities. Our group of 12 relaxed on the sun porch, played bocce and cornhole in the huge backyard, and enjoyed the town of Stockbridge. The owners suggestion of dinner at Alta was much appreciated as we had a fabulous dinner there.

Property was beautiful and walkable to town. House is old but very nice. Large enough to accommodate 9 women! Loved sitting outside enjoying perfect weather! All in all had a wonderful experience!

Grand Getaway

The house was absolutely fabulous - even better than the online pictures. We were there for a “sibling/spouse” reunion. There were so many spaces to hang out - huge dining room, porch, living room & bonus was the fire pit. The hosts, Caitlin & George, were delightful and very responsive. The house is beautifully furnished and it is centrally located to several cute artsy towns and nearby attractions. If you’re looking for someplace special, this is the place!!!

Paradise in the Berkshires

This was our fourth stay at this magnificent property and we continue to be amazed by its beauty and grandeur. Our host have provided us with everything to make our experience perfect.
