Tidigare Périgord-gÄrd i XVIII och bildar en liten by som Àr helt reserverad för dig. Nyligen renoverad erbjuder det en idealisk hyra för 2 familjer eller en familj med stora barn. Utsikten Àr tydlig pÄ Laurence-dalen som gÄr ner till Montignac (Lascaux). BelÀget i mitten av 9 ha pÄ nÀra hÄll och trÀ tillgÀngligt för hyresgÀsterna, det har stor lugn. Den uppvÀrmda poolen (11 x 5 med salthydrolys) Àr sÀker. MÄnga terrasser fungerar som utgÄng till alla byggnader; vissa Àr skuggade av stora hundraÄrstrÀd. Flera trÀdgÄrdsutrustning (bord och stolar, fÄtöljer, solstolar, parasoll, grill) finns tillgÀngliga.


Fontpoutreau ligger i utkanten av den "mÀnskliga dalen", som den nÀrliggande VézÚre-dalen har fÄtt namnet, och erbjuder dig en plats av lugn att nÀrma dig de berömda platserna i Périgord. LASCAUX-grottan ligger nÄgra kilometer bort med staden MONTIGNAC direkt vid VézÚre; dÀr hittar du International Center of Cave Art. Den berömda staden SARLAT ligger lite lÀngre Àn inom 40 km och de mÄnga slottna i Dordogne-dalen ligger utanför dörren. Mellan VézÚre och Dordogne har du ocksÄ valet mellan olika förhistoriska platser eller grottor dekorerade med mÄlningar. Det nationella förhistoriska museet stÄr till ditt förfogande vid EYZIES de Tayac (30 km) för att spÄra dessa tidigare stadier.

Ein fantastisches, sehr liebe- und stilvoll renoviertes Bruchsteinhaus mit perfekter Ausstattung (offene SchrĂ€nke, Waschhaus mit Extra-KĂŒhlschrank, Tischtennisplatte, Grills...) AußenplĂ€tzen fĂŒr jede Tageszeit, sehr weitlĂ€ufig, ungestört, toller Pool, ... Der Vermieter kĂŒmmerte sich direkt um alle kleineren und grĂ¶ĂŸeren Fragen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Simplement parfait

Que du positif! La propriĂ©tĂ© ressemble totalement au descriptif, avec de nombreux endroits, au soleil au bord de la belle piscine ou Ă  l ombre d un arbre majesteux oĂč se poser pour une lecture, un cafĂ© ou une sieste. Les chambres sont tres agreables avec une tres bonne literie. La cuisine parfaite pour concocter les plats qui regalent les grandes tablĂ©es! Nous etions 4 familles avec enfants et tous ont ete conquis par le lieu, la campagne et les villages environnants (aussi parcourus Ă  vĂ©lo). A refaire! Et merci Ă  Lucette pour son accueil, tout aussi charmant!

Still thinking about Thenon!

Can't say enough about how good this property was! It met our expectations and was better in real life than the photos suggested. We had a family of 12 of various ages and all were happy, especially the pool, which in 42 degree temperatures was a godsend. The pool was regularly cleaned and the towels changed on a weekly basis. Any complaints we had (external lights not working) were dealt with promptly, not that we had many complaints. A knowledge of French would be useful to talk to Mme Labat, the housekeeper, as we were unable to express to her how much we had enjoyed our stay. We would return in an instant and missing it already.

Bonne impression gĂ©nĂ©rale ! Maison bien Ă©quipĂ©e pour 10 personnes, bonnes literies, cuisine bien amĂ©nagĂ©e, salles d’eau ou de bains bien, piscine et jardin impeccables. AprĂšs, quelques dĂ©tails qui relĂšvent de la maniaquerie : les chaises extĂ©rieures mĂ©riteraient un coup de rĂ©novation, un ouvre-boĂźte efficace serait le bienvenu au pays du confit ! Enfin, pour les personnes vieillissantes, beaucoup de marches ! TrĂšs bon sĂ©jour (3 semaines), trĂšs bon accueil !

Perfect family holiday home

Enchanting house , secluded but not isolated. Ideal for a family holiday with no close neighbours for the children to disturb and large enough for every one of our large party to have their own space. Belle maison trÚs spacieuse, amenagée avec goût et bien equipée dans un environnement beau et calme. Un grand pool securisé et un grand jardin bien entretenu. Le village avec des restos et des commerces n'est pas loin, idéalement placé entre sarlat et périgueux pour visiter chateaux, lascaux etc. Nous étions 7 amis et nous avons passé un excellent séjour. The perfect French house for a large close family. Our third visit and the fourth already booked.

This house still has the wow factor for our family; four children, partners and grandchildren 1-8yrs. Our youngest even flew from India for the week such is the bonding and banter value on offer, mainly thanks to the pool, a magnet for us all. The high spec bathrooms are another attraction. Although we came in 4 cars, as usual we did not venture far, relying on the more than adequate local Carrefour and weekly market in Thenon. A mass outing to the caves was attempted then aborted by the queue, but Decathlon in Perigieux is a popular alternative. We took 6 bikes, useful to buy bread and associated patisserie in the morning and to ride the circuit round the village through the wonderful countryside. The kitchen facilities with the stainless steel fittings are popular with us all as we take turns to cook fancy meals, some by BBQ, to impress siblings. Eating outside at night under the nicely lit trees is a treat. Not one mosquito was heard or felt. The living room is spacious, comfortable and perfect for board and card games with and without grandchildren. The sofa is refuge for sleepy children after lively pool activities. Mme. Labat welcomes us warmly on arrival and keeps the house immaculate. The house has incredible views from the top of the valley but the terrain is steep with steps crafted into the gardens. These were initially an obstacle to a 70 yr old with 2 new knees and an aversion to using sticks but did encourage independence and resourcefulness as nothing was going to prevent one being first in the pool. In short, this house is a quiet oasis, yet close to an autoroute and airports--Bordeaux, Brive and Bergerac. We drove there from London on one tank of diesel. As in previous years no one felt inclined to eat out as staying in tested everyone's culinary skills and a whole family meal is now a rare event; Carrefour did very well out of us that week.

La maison est trĂšs vaste ,confortable et joliment dĂ©corĂ©e.tres grand sejour,belle cuisine,6 chambres et 5 salles de bains ou douches.Tout le monde peut y vivre Ă  l'aise( nous Ă©tions 7 adultes et 3 enfants)L'Ă©quipement en vaisselle et materiel de cuisine est impressionnant.Tres bonne literie.Tout est propre. Grande piscine dans un cadre magnifique.La vue descend la vallĂ©e .Pas de bruit.Vous ĂȘtes au grand calme.Parfois vous pouvez apercevoir les biches. Le village est tout pres.Il y a un petit supermarchĂ© Carrefour ou vous trouvez de tout. Je recommande++++++

Out of this world

My goodness how do you sum up this property? 1. Fantastic 2. Amazing 3. Unbelievable 4. Quite 5. Tranquil 6. Perfect After a rainy week in Devon in 2016 with our best friends we vowed to have a holiday in the sun in 2017. I was tasked the job of finding a place to go. New Years Eve my wife and I sat down in a cold British pub to find our ideal holiday destination and property. Somewhere with a good pool, sunshine and space (as there are two families and a few teenagers). We came across a few and ended up deciding on this house which ticked all our boxes. It is absolutely beautiful, well laid out and space for all. There is a supermarket close by and to be honest, there is also loads to see but we didn't do to much. We sat by the pool let the kids swim and laugh while we sat watching, eating and drinking (with the odd swim as well). The weather was perfect as well (not Devon). If you are looking at this house now. Book it quickly before I do. We would defiantly love to go back and have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone who will listen. Many thanks to Marie-Helene & Philippee Lanneau and of course your house keeper Madame Labat who is fantastic. We hope to see you again.

Amazing house in such tranquil surroundings. Beautifully decorated and fully equipped.

We stayed here very comfortably for one week and there were six adults and five teenage kids. We didn't even use the Gite which could have slept four very comfortably. The house sits at the end of its own private track, with the most amazing views of the country side. Extremely peaceful setting but yet only 5 minutes in a car to the nearest shops. Also a great location to explore Montignac and Sarlat towns, trips on the river and caves were all near by. Towels and bedding were all very new and clean. Much thought has gone into this property to make your holiday very pleasant and comfortable. Highly recommend this house for families or friends to spend time together. The pool was a great plus point.

A lovely place for a family holiday

The property was beautiful and everything we could have wished for. The rooms were comfortable the bathrooms plentiful, it was well equipped and plenty of places to sit outside to eat or read. Magnifique demeure !

La maison est splendide: un "cachet" ancien tout en Ă©tant trĂšs lumineuse. Sa taille est trĂšs adaptĂ©e Ă  un grand groupe (nous Ă©tions 9), permettant grĂące Ă  son architecture et Ă  ses nombreuses terrasses de ne pas ĂȘtre "les uns sur les autres". De plus elle est situĂ©e dans un havre de paix, bref ce fut un sĂ©jour parfait !

Superbe maison avec une vue magnifique

Une maison trĂšs bien restaurĂ©e avec une piĂšce Ă  vivre trĂšs agrĂ©able et offrant une belle vue sur les collines, dans un environnement trĂšs calme et reposant. Prestations tout Ă  fait conforme Ă  la description, et une disposition qui permet mĂȘme si l'on est nombreux que chacun ait son intimitĂ©. La petite maison de la piscine est parfaite pour les ados! La piscine chauffĂ©e est trĂšs agrĂ©able. La localisation est trĂšs pratique : commerces proches et beaucoup de visites dans un rayon de 30 km, ainsi que des activitĂ©s (l'accrobranche Ă  10mn de la maison, canoe Ă  Montignac...). Nous avons passĂ© d'excellentes vacances dans cette belle maison!
