Denna basränta är för upp till 16 personer! Denna 15 hektar stora fastighet är otrolig med över 800 fot privat flodstrand och inga grannar synliga var som helst på 15 tunnland! Detta är ett hus med 7 sovrum med 3 vardagsrum, tvättmaskin / torktumlare (*** MED 2 NYA FRAMT LADDARE Tvättmaskiner INSTALLERAD FEBRUARI 2019 ***), 3 däck, spelrum med biljardbord och jacuzzi. Kök, matsal, 3 badrum och en tvättstuga på 15 tunnland med 250 meter privat flodfastighet och en 1/3 mil lång skogskörd uppfart. Direkt-TV, DSL (snabbaste internet i området!) Internet, WIFI. Stugan har skräddarsydda lokala träbeklädnader och väggpaneler gjorda på vår gamla mode sågblad sågbruk !!! Trägolv och tegelgolv. Designad för att vara mycket rustik och autentisk men ändå modern (med den nyinstallerade centralvärme / luftkonditioneringen för komfort året runt). Se videon från utsikten från bakdäck! Två plattskärms-TV: n (60 'i vardagsrummet nr 1 och 50' i spelrummet ((*** Spelrummet har just fått NY NY 50 "SMART TV i februari 2019)) !!!

Spelrum: kylskåp, biljardbord och bordtennisbord. Anpassade konstverk gjorda av lokal konstnär, lite konst är till salu (konstverket är verkligen otroligt i det här huset!). Gratis USA: s nationella långa avstånd från landtelefonen. Två specialgjorda kolgrillar (gjorda av en av innehavarna i hans järnbutik! " nära utomhus eldstaden utanför däck och uteplats med utsikt över floden. Vi tillhandahåller nu linne och handdukar kompletterande, för alla gäster oavsett hur många sängar som behövs !!! Fler sängkläder / handdukar beställs, kompletterande, bara txt Ben the Small Family Company Concierge !!!. Om du bokar i 7 nätter så tillhandahålls en lastbil med vedar gratis! Och vi skickar en gratis The Country Place Inc. Sun Visor Hat!

Lokala spår (Old Habron Gap, google it!) gå till ryggen på Massanutten Mountain på gångavstånd eller så kan du köra avståndet från Captain's Lodge on the Rapids! Några av de bästa tekniska mountainbikingcyklarna för enkelspår finns i närheten. Luray Caverns ligger bara 11 miles från Captain's Lodge on the Rapids; flera andra grottor ligger inom köravstånd. Kungssäng i sovrummet med anpassat nyrenoverat badrum. Med prisstrukturen kan du hyra stugan uteslutande med endast tillgång till det du behöver för din vistelse.

Totalt har fyra sovrum en queen size-säng i vardera, ett med egen ingång till ett badrum. Ett annat sovrum har två våningssängar med 3 singlar och en dubbel. Ett sjunde sovrum har både en singel och en dubbelsäng.

I vardagsrummet 2 drar en futon soffa ut i en dubbelsäng. I vardagsrummet 3 dras också en futon-soffa ut i en drottningssäng. Totalt 14 bäddar i huset.
Gott om plats för att sätta upp luftmadrass i alla tre vardagsrum. Fastigheten har ett nytt centralt HVAC-system. Denna 15 tunnland stora egendom är otrolig utan grannar

Great stay/location

The stay was awesome. Place was spacious and comfortably fit 15 people. Only downside was the WiFi connection, which was explained prior to our stay. Overall great experience!

False advertising

The property is very neglected rotten porches and picnic table as well as stairs to river. Large tree down over stairs younger people had to crawl under and then over to get to river. Older people and children could not go to river because of stair safety and large tree.Said there was pool to play but all sticks and balls locked up. No tv remotes either called property owners and she never returned the call. Rained hard and sky light leaked with the rain.If you want to cook only 2 burners work on the stove. Had to wash pots and pans and cooking utensils before using, they were disgusting. Food left in sink from previous people. Will never rent again understand outdated decor BUT it needs to be MUCH cleaner and taken care of better. Over charging for what you get

Great location, loved fire pits and fireplaces, plenty of space, convenient to river, close to downtown Luray, lots of hot water, plenty of fridge space… house could use some updates, get ready to disconnect- cell service and WiFi is very limiting

This was honestly everything we hoped it would be! Beautiful landscape, river access, plenty of space at the Captains Lodge to relax and enjoy yourself or play games with the family. We enjoyed the entire stay! Internet was not great, but also we were fine with unplugging and just enjoying the nature. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys playing in the river and having BBQ and campfires with the comfort of an amazing house to rest your head (:

Enjoyed our stay. Great cabin. only issue is with Water. It stinks because of sulphur content.

Great views of the cabin, huge cabin . Property Manager was very responsive. We had a great Thanksgiving friends retreat. Water was the only issue. It stinks due to sulphur content.

Gotcha sister reunion

It is a great location, with lots to do inside and out. The game room provided hours of entertainment. Plenty of private spaces for more intimate conversations. The waterfront was phenomenal. The owners were very responsive with questions and concerns, very friendly and helpful. We had 8 families with 8 teenage girls who found lots of things to do! I would recommend for large groups.

Wonder getaway

Everything was as described. The house is huge and comfortable for 16 people to have their own space. AC worked as it should. It does get colder in the basement but upstairs was cold too. We counted 72 stairs to get down to the river. There are snakes and raccoons so bring a stick with you if youre outside just in case. Any questions or concerns we had were quickly answered by Ben. There is a security deposits to use the pool table. We didnt use the hot tub because we were mostly in the river. Becareful, there alot of slippery rocks.

Outdated cabin

We had a great time however the VRBO description is not current. The house is very dated, cobwebs in all the corners, water is not easily accessible, the jacuzzi does not work, the air conditioning does not cool the entire house and there aren’t screens in all the windows so we couldn’t even open them to cool the house, the basement bathroom tub has a soft spot that seemed very unsafe.. I think if the house was cleaner and maybe just maintained a little better it would be great.

The place was probably nice at one point. Now it's just old and run-down.

Listing said there are 2 charcoal grills. There was only one, and it was rusted beyond being usable. We ended up having to buy one. House didn't look like it had been cleaned at all. Cobwebs and dust everywhere. Jacuzzi didn't work. When we asked the owner, she admitted she knew the jets didn't work. WiFi didn't work. Zero internet access. Owner blamed us, told us "only one device could use the WiFi at a time", but she couldn't connect to the internet either. Owner showed up at the house unannounced and uninvited, and just hung out in the house for around an hour, even though we kept telling her that we didn't need anything from her. Linens for the beds were left in plastic bags on the beds, and half of them didn't fit on the beds. Everything was just old, rickety, warn, and dirty. Then the owner had the nerve to claim half of our security deposit, for ambiguous claims like "excessive wear on the pool table", and "excessive cleaning" when it appeared the house wasn't cleaned before we arrived. All in all, I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Indifference once we were there

The property itself is exactly as described our issues were with the management. We had asked for early check-in and (in writing) the request was granted. When we arrived there was no access to the property. Fine, I totally understand mistakes, and before long we did get access. But, because cell coverage is poor in the area, I also had someone else call to try and get help. She was told that I had never been given authorization to arrive early. Why do that? No one was mad, there was no reason to try to shift blame. Next, we discovered there were not enough sheets. We called and were told it would be taken care of. Night came, no sheets. The next night comes, no sheets. At 11:00PM, long after we were in bed on the SECOND night, the doorbell rings. It is the owner who now wants to talk about sheets. He specifically states that they did not leave enough sheets. (The reservation was for 19 people and they left enough sheets for 17 as long as every queen sized bed was used by 2. Not our situation.) and that he knew of the problem the night before. Why wake us up, with no sheets in hand, on our last night, to tell us they knew we did not have the sheets we needed? The next day, when I asked about waking us up to argue about sheets, I was given a brand-new tale via text-message. Suddenly the locked gate at arrival no longer seemed like a simple mistake but part of a pattern of indifference. The house was perfect but the management of the property was not what we expected.

Beautiful Location

Although the home was a little dated, we had a wonderful time together with plenty of space. The main room was large enough for everyone to be in w/o being crowded. The host responded quickly to any questions we had. I would recommend it to other large groups if you are not looking for new and modern.

Just what was needed

It was an amazing property. Secluded and quite just as advertised. The house and furniture are a little dated but for our group it was comfortable, we are not a group of fancy. Plus who cares, get out in nature and out of the house. Pool table and ping pong table were nice. Plenty of room and privacy for all guest. The outdoor setup with the open pedestal grill right next to the fire pit was amazing. We are already planning another trip. The price matched the property, the scenery alone was worth the price. There was no worry of waking neighbors so we could be as aloud as needed. The place was awesome and was just what we needed.

Family reunion fun

The property was spacious and had a great view of the river! Sadly the Jacuzzi wasn’t working and the pool sticks were locked up due to a previous guest’s misdeeds. But our family had a great weekend of cooking out, hiking, rafting and antiquing to suit everyone’s tastes. It was a big success!

There is no other house this grand on the river in the Shenandoah Valley! 95% of the rental houses in the Shenandoah Valley are 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms only. This gem has 7 bedrooms and 3 living rooms and a huge game room and a Jacuzzi room plus dining room and 2 decks and 15 acres with no neighbors seen from anywhere on our 15 acre property. Adjacent to George Washington National Forrest and adjacent to the South Fork Shenandoah River. We own the two lots adjacent up river so there is an abundance of private property that buffers you from any humans!!! The only people you may see are canoeing down the river at the bottom of your football field back yard. This house is less than 1 mile from Shenandoah River Canoe Outfitters. There have been more than a dozen wineries start ups in the last decade in this county. More than half a dozen bike races too and or triathlons.

Sleeps up to 23 people. The rental has 15 acres with no neighbors!!! Driveway is 1/3 mile long... 800 feet of private riverfront and we own the other 800 feet of private riverfront above that! So, for Real, there are No Neighbors. Unique!
