Vilken underbar egendom som ligger vid denna rökfria egendom är en heltäckande ranch som ligger tvärs över gatan från floden Piankatank med super utsikt samt tillgång till en liten sandstrand. River House är 2000 sf och kan rymma upp till 10 gäster. Njut av kanot, spela lite ping pong, koppla av i solrummet, fiska eller bara göra ingenting alls! Ta med dig Jet Ski eller Boat om du har en för det finns en community båtrampa mindre än 1/4 mil bort. Sovrum nummer 1 har en queen size, sovrum nummer 2 har en full och en uppsättning våningssängar, sovrum 3 är Mästaren med en drottning och privat badrum. Köket har alla Cherry-skåp och apparater i rostfritt stål. River House har central värme och luft samt helt nya dubbla hängande fönster. Matsalen har en fantastisk utsikt över floden med ett vikfönster som kan släppa in River Breezes!

Family Wedding

Absolutely wonderful layout for family. The space is very open and inviting. House supplied nicely with linens, kitchen supplies etc. Very nice water access for kayak or canoe. Can't wait to go back.

Nice house with lots of room

This is a very nice house with a lot of room. We enjoyed the tiny beach area across the street. Unfortunately there was a lot of jellyfish so no swimming. The only thing that was a little weird was the abandoned house right behind us with 4 strathehouse with 4 stray cats.

Our short stay

We came to Gloucester to help a friend out- and a few of us went to the quilt show in Hampton. House was perfect size for 6 adults to stay. Waking up seeing the river was a great start for the day. House was clean and as advertised. We will stay here again!

Perfect for a Williamsburg getaway

The place was perfect for us. It was close enough to the theme parks while far enough away from the main tourist areas to experience some local flair. I loved sitting on the side porch in the evening and listening to the frogs.

Great Getaway

The River House Getaway is a fantastic location with beautiful views of the Piankatank river and lots of space. The house was clean, stocked with towels and linens and kitchen cookware we needed. The hosts were great to work with! We really enjoyed our stay there.

Family getaway

This was a great place to meet up with family to enjoy a few days together. The house was well stocked with what we needed to just visit and be together. A very remote area but not a difficult drive to sight see and find things to do in Yorktown, Jamestown, VA Beach and Williamsburg.

Girls weekend

The house is really clean and spacious. The river is right across the street and was clean as well.

We loved the proximity to the private beach. The neighbors are super nice and helpful. The house had everything we needed. We brought our own kayak and paddle board and definitely got good use of them on the river as it isn't too crowded with bigger boats.

Beautiful home away from home

We had a great family stay at this property on the York River. Great early winter view. This property is great for large families/family gatherings even in the winter. Could use some sugar/coffee in the kitchen & more detailed description as where to dispose of our trash at the end of stay. We highly recommend this property, can only imagine how much nicer to stay during the summer.

The River House Gloucester County

This is a great house. Lots of great amenities. We had planned to go visit the historic triangle on Saturday, but mother nature had other ideas. Indoors it was, and there was lots of things to occupy our time (pingpong, board games, Roku tv, and the big bay window to view the river.

Relaxing getaway!

What a wonderful home! My family enjoyed the normal amenities of any home… what made my trip (as a Wife/mother of teens) were the little unexpected touches. Fully stocked kitchen, comfy throw blankets, coolers, trash bags/ toilet paper/ paper towels. LOVED the family photos around the house. The kayaks were great! Along with the beach area. Peaceful

We loved the house. It had a nice view of the river and was located in a very quiet and peaceful area. It was nice to be able to go out and do all the touristy things and then be able to come back and relax at the house. It had everything you would need and we cooked out on the grill a few times which was nice. The owners were very helpful when the power went out and kept us updated when it would most likely be back on. I would definitely recommend this lovely home for anyone planning on visiting the area.

Good stay, beautiful views

We brought our family into town for Christmas Town at Busch Gardens. We had a little trouble getting in as the digital lock was not working, but there was a key in a lock box. Took a few minutes to get that in the darkness, but finally got in. We encountered a few minor problems (water pressure and broken closet door) and communicated to the property owner and received timely replies. We enjoyed the ping pong table, games and the furniture was comfortable. The beds were comfortable as well.

Great place to stay!

The house was very nice and clean. The only complaint I have is trying to wash the linens before leaving. If you have a stay here with the full amount of guests it would be difficult to complete the laundry before the 11am check out time. Also made it worse that the previous guests left their laundry half done and I didnt notice this until I went to wash ours. Other than that it was great.

We fell in love with this house on a new years day drive in 2006! We thought we were going to see a small home in need of repair but instead we saw a wonderful place that has a personality all its own! Something about being away from the City lights really can do wonders for the soul! We have enjoyed the River House for several years now and hope you find it as relaxing as our family does!
