Wanted to take my girlfriend away from our lives for a birthday getaway... we got to the house as scheduled and was very easy to find the key and get in. The "tree house" was clean and ready for our stay... we had everything we needed for the weekend there as far as dishes, towels, internet ect. Was very nice views from the full lenght windows in every direction. And the view from the rear deck was a great wooded ravine with no other houses in sight for perfect privacy... we had an amazing stay and thought the house was very unique i would definitely book again if ever back in that area.... the only downfall was the 15 minute drive into Galena... but the privacy was probably more worth it... i do recommend..

My kids called it the "tree house" because you're perched on the trees and surrounded by windows to enjoy the views. The house had everything we needed for a family trip. Beds are comfy, living room is cozy, and the kitchen is efficient with everything we needed to cook meals and enjoy family time together. There is a 70s vibe that took me back to my childhood and the bath pod was a great treat to enjoy after a busy day of hiking. Everything was clean and in working order. Great spot for quiet nature time, the community has wonderful amenities, and we plan on coming back.

Mini Vacation

We really enjoyed the home and the area. The home is a little musty smelling but it is so cute.We had wished to know more about the pool facilities and if there were any shuttle services from the home to the facilities? We had a family member that was going to stay back from our activities but they could not go to the pool because we only had one car.But overall the place is great and we'd consider staying there again.

Family get away

My son and I played golf on the South course every one there greeted us nicely even being the last tee time of the day.We played the General the very next day and same treatment we were the last tee time and everyone was pleasant. Our stay was a pleasantly remote location! Very quiet, was clean and was easy to access.

Quiet tree hiuse

This is a quiet property off a dirt road with three additional homes of the same type on the street. It was fast and easy to find with great communication from the owner.

Enjoyed our 3-night stay

The property is in a great setting, a good distance from other properties. It is surrounded by many trees giving it a real feeling of seclusion. And, it's about a 15 minute drive to downtown Galena.My wife and I felt the indoor and outdoor areas were of a very comfortable size. Even though it is rated at 800 square feet it seemed much larger due to a very creative layout.The property had everything we could want. Nothing missing, and everything clean and in good shape. We're looking forward to staying here again.

It was a nice romantic getaway in the woods

It was a nice getaway with my boyfriend. However upon arrival, there was what seemed to be mold and what could possibly be a mouse in the main toilet. The cabin hasn't been occupied since the holidays and mostly stayed in, in the summer months. I understand, but still should of been cleaned up before our booking. Once maintenance took care of the issue, it allowed us to enjoy the place a little more.

Tree House

This unit is wonderful. You feel like you are in an adult tree house. It is quiet and peaceful there. Great views of the Galena Territory valley. The unit was clean and everything you need for a great getaway. The bed was so comfortable that you didn’t even want to get out. The check in was easy and directions from the host were spot on. Will definitely stay again.

Galena Territory Rental

Enjoyed our stay here. It is an older home with some wear in the kitchen, especially. The location is great, good privacy and the view from the patio is lovely. There are other homes in view but they are not intrusive. The ramp to the house is long and on an incline. We used a wagon to bring supplies in from the parking area. There were a few maintenance issues which we reported to the host (broken screen, spots on carpet, light out in kitchen and a musty smell). Would come back and stay here again, though!

Comfortable with an amazing viee

Very clean, very comfortable, quiet little treehouse in the woods with an amazing view! Has the creature comforts of home, and just a few minutes drive of stunning views to downtown Galena. Would definitely return to this one!

Nice setting but bad smell

Unusual shaped property was a novelty but had an unpleasant musty smell that permeated the entire place and all of my belongings. It even clung to a drinking glass that I bought on the trip until I washed it at home! Nice to have 2 BR and 2 baths along with tons of windows in a beautiful natural setting, but with the funky smell, cheap construction, and stained rug, I would not recommend at this price.

Short Family Vacation

Great place to stay for short family vacation in the woods. House was perfect size and spaces for family of three adults for four nights. Home furnishings and interior style slightly dated but comfortable. The outdoor deck, the all around full windows of the house, and tje surrounding trees so close you can nearly touch them are the real strengths of the house. The availability of the indoor and outdoor pools were the other significant draws to this rental.

Excellent place to stay near Galena

We had a group of 4, the oldest was in her early 80s. Those in our group with knee problems struggled with the ramp to get to the cottage. The master bathroom was too small. It had a really interesting round tall tub and then a tiny shower. We all ended up using the other shower. It felt very secluded even though we were in a very nice community. The pools were clean and wonderful. Much less crowded during the week of course. It’s about a 20 minute ride into downtown Galena. It was clean, with everything that we needed. Would stay again!

Quiet getaway

Love the quiet location and property. The house was clean and inviting although could use some updates. But I’d still stay there again because it is so peaceful and has everything you need.

cute house and property

Cute house and property very quiet however communication could have been much better. Never got an email stating where the keys would be to enter the house, the first email I sent asking about keys said that I could book the property (we were already booked) that made us nervous that we didn't have a reservation. In the end it worked out and we finally got ahold of the property owner and the rest of the stay was fine.

Adorably Cozy

This was our second time staying at this adorable house. Loved that they replaced the sidewalk leading to the house! It is much better than the old one. We really enjoyed our stay and definitely looking forward to coming back again.
