Välkommen till Big Kahuna River Lodge ett lyxigt reträtt med 375 meter privat fasad på floden Toccoa !!! Oavsett om du är en fiskeentusiast, naturälskare, vill du njuta av vattnet eller bara leta efter en fantastisk plats att koppla av och roa du har hittat platsen!

HUVUDNIVÅ har välvt tak med golv till tak fönster och är mycket rymlig öppen planlösning förenar köket, matsalen och vardagsrummet med fantastisk utsikt över floden Toccoa.

Kök - är ett fullt utrustat gourmetkök för matlagning och underhållning med dubbla ugnar, gasspis, mikrovågsugn, brödrost, kaffebryggare, Keurig och mixer. Frukost bar platser 4 och matplats har ett stort bord med plats för 10.

Familjerum - har golv till tak staplade sten gas spis och nöjescentrum ovanför öppen spis med plattskärms-TV med fullt 7. 1 Dolby surround ljud. Gott om sittplatser på bekväma möbler. Familjerum leder till balkongen med utsikt över floden Toccoa.

Halv badrum - ligger utanför vardagsrummet och tvättstuga med tvättmaskin och torktumlare.

Master Bedroom Suite - ligger utanför vardagsrummet och är mycket rymligt. Har en staplad stengas spis med nöjescentrum ovanför öppen spis med plattskärms-TV med full 7. 1 Dolby surround-ljud, king size-säng, soffa och vackert handskuren trä skrivbord. Sviten har massor av fönster som ger en fantastisk utsikt över floden Toccoa nedanför. Master svit leder till balkongen med utsikt över floden. En-suite badrum med bubbelbadkar, stor duschkabin med kroppstrådar och regnduschhuvud och dubbla handfat förfängelse.

Översta Balkong - har gungstolar och lusthus med bord och sex stolar med fantastisk utsikt över floden Toccoa. Tillsammans med täckt balkong med sittgrupp runt en golv till tak staplade sten vedeldad spis och en utomhus gasgrill.

BÄSTA NIVÅ har två sovrum och ett Jack och Jill badrum.

Ett sovrum - har en king size-säng med välvt tak.

Andra sovrummet - är mycket rymligt med välvt tak, fönster som ger en fantastisk utsikt över floden Toccoa nedanför. Har två queen size-sängar, bäddsoffa och platt-TV.

BOTTOM LEVEL har teater rum, sovrum, badrum, skärmad på balkongen med en bar och badtunna.

Theatre Room - har 110 tums projektor-TV med full 7. 1 Dolby surround-ljud och X-Box, Roku med Netflix och aktuellt filmbibliotek. 72 "LCD-spis med värme, stor sektionssoffa, biljardbord och högbord.

Sovrum - har en king size-säng och ett badrum. Också två tvillingbädds madrasser med sängkläder.

Skärmad balkong - med skräddarsydd bar och gott om sittplatser och fantastisk utsikt över floden Toccoa. Leder till badtunnan med utsikt över floden.

Utomhusområden

Lounging Area - ligger utanför huvudnivån med utsikt över floden Toccoa och har två solstolar.

River Front Area - njut av 375 meter privat flodfront med en brygga över floden med bord och stolar. Dockan ger dig utsikt över Cherokee Indian Fish Trap och trappor går ner i vattnet. Matlagning eldstaden och stolar, gunga och hängmatta längs floden, och en annan eld grop och stolar. Och mycket öppet område för lek längs floden. Vi har tillgång till flottor och flytvästar under säsong. Titta på Blue Ridge Scenic Railway som reser två gånger om dagen under säsongen med sina vintage järnvägsvagnar. Testa din hand på öringfiske eller njut av slangar nerför floden.

HISTORIA

Här är en historia av Toccoa-floden - av vår privata brygga är en Cherokee indisk "fiskfälla". Cherokee bosättningar var vanliga längs Toccoa River. De infödda använde en genial metod för att fånga fisk. Genom att höja stenar och stenblock över floden i en särskiljande "V" -form kunde Cherokee fälla och fånga fisk när de simmade in i "V."

Mtn Vacation

This was a beautiful home on a beautiful piece of property. The driveway was very steep. Be aware the river is across the street so you will have to walk down the steep drive to access the river. We had a lovely time.

Exceptional on the River

Spending Thanksgiving on the river was everything a holiday should be. The lodge had everything we were looking for, from fishing to hiking to beautiful scenery to amazing accommodations. The photos really can’t do it justice. Five stars all the way.

Wonderful home

The cabin had everything you could need. Large family outing was a big hit. A few minor misses-listing implies that the riverfront is right there but it's across a lightly traveled road. And a few minor cliches - a electric receptacle that didn't work, fireplace that was a hassle until we got a hold of the owner, a little light in seating in the family room for a 4 bedroom home. But it is a beautiful place!!

Beautiful Home

This home met all of our expectations! The house is massive and very welcoming. Even the landscaping is on point. Sitting along the river was very relaxing after a long day. The theater room and pool table was an added bonus for the younger ones. This was an easy 5 star property. younger ones.

Wonderful Place

We had a very good staycation at his house. The house is clean, thoughtfully decorated and right across the river. Beautiful view and tons of things to do. We had a very good time. Only feedback is that the Outisde grill had very less light at night. That can be improved. Otherwise, everything else was great.

Great place for friends and family fall fun!

This house is wonderful for a group, with so much space indoors and out! We had four couples, so the separate bedrooms were perfect. The fall foliage in the Fish Trap Trail neighborhood area was some of the best we saw anywhere. And this location provided easy access for us up to Ocoee and down to Amicalola. Blue Ridge is an easy 15 minute drive away, and has great restaurants sand shopping. We highly recommend this place for any group wanting to enjoy the river and the scenery with plenty of comfortable space for a large group. Our stay was wonderful!

Best ever!

Beautiful cabin and accommodations! Our family goes every year to Blue Ridge,Big Kahuna was by far the best cabin we have ever stayed at! It was a big plus having the river right out front. Great place to fish and build a fire. The cabin has everything you need to cook with, which we have never had with a rental. The beds were so comfortable! The kitchen was big and spacious. The dining table sat all of my family. We are definitely renting again next year. I give more than 5 stars!!!

Absolutely Awesome!

First off Jennifer was a pleasure to work with and was very responsive. We did have an AC issue while we were there but she was fast to make sure it was repaired. This place was absolutely amazing. The house was so clean and up to date. It had everything we needed for our 5 nights. We spent the vast majority of our time hanging out in the river. We brought rafts and when the river was low we would just float. We also spent a lot of time enjoying the view from the top deck. At night we used the fireplace on the top deck. We never ventured down to the firepit by the river because the one on the deck was so convenient. This place was perfect for our family. My husband and I were joined by both of our parents and sister. We didnt have a hard time deciding who was going to get which room because all the rooms were amazing. Nobody felt like they got the short end of the stick! Aside from the house we enjoyed a number of activities in the area. Do NOT miss a day trip to Lake Blue Ridge. It was absolutely amazing. We rented a pontoon boat for the day and had an absolute blast. Our parents were not very excited about doing it but i think they ended up enjoying it more than us. We also went went white water rafting. That was an awesome experience and so beautiful. There was a good mix of thrill and relaxation.

Nice Place

The property is very Nice, but We really did not get to enjoy it like we planned, The first night the main fuse for the hot tub tripped, and all the electrical circuits in the main bed room tripped when I plugged in and used a small heater under the desk while I did some paperwork. The host contacted me and addressed it the next day. Then the 2nd day that the Heat for the basement went out so the people had to endure the frigid temps. Then on the 24th of Dec. the water line froze up even though we had the water faucets open. We waited over five hours that day and even tried to assist in a resolution but with the weather temp was not improving, the large group we had and the inability to cook, bath or use the restrooms as needed. We had to leave. We paid for 5 days but was only able to stay 3 days. I tried to speak with the host to get a refund or get a credit to be used at later date, but I was told since we left early there was no recourse. Note I did address that the weather condition wasn’t improving and we were never at anytime offer any water or way to get water, so that we could do what we needed to do , I asked what were we supposed to do……So I say to all, this is indeed is a very lovely place, the pit falls leave a very bad taste in my mouth.

WOW!!

What an amazing find this lodge is! Such a spacious and beautiful get-away for our post pandemic family vacation. I cannot say enough about the luxurious and **clean** accommodations. My family loves to cook, and were happy to find the kitchen stocked with whatever ware we needed. We grilled on the outdoor grill built into the deck, and cooked on the firepit by the river. We ate and played games on the deck and had plenty of room to seat indoors and out. We relaxed by the river on the dock, the Adirondack chairs, the swing -- and played lawn games along the generous river frontage. We enjoyed evenings by the outdoor fireplace on the deck, and soaked in the hot tub. We played pool, video games and watched movies in the theater room. Of note, the driveway is super steep, and there is a private dirt road that runs along the river - between the lodge and the property - since there are homes all along the river. There were a surprising number of vehicles that passed through - very slowly, and usually with a friendly wave, but I thought it worth mentioning. (They were doing tree work down the road several days during our stay, which involved lots of loud beeping as it slowly backed up or down the road since it couldn't turn around, but I imagine that is not regular occurrence. ) There was a family staying across the river that we could see and hear, and there are homes on either side of the property as well - but the 375 feet of private river frontage greatly added to the privacy, as did all the trees surrounding the lodge. Folks we ran into on our walks were all friendly, and the area certainly had a welcoming vibe. It only took about 20 minutes to get to Blue Ridge to shop for groceries. We spent most of our time relaxing at the lodge, but I would recommend visiting the Ocoee Whitewater Center, near Ducktown, TN (the canoe slalom venue for the 1996 Summer Olympics) Beautifully shaded hiking trail along the river there, and we enjoyed exploring the rocks and water, and cooled off in the swimming holes. We also took a rainy day visit to the country market at Mercier Orchard. All in all a wonderfully relaxing and memorable stay.
