En komplett stranden hem med tre sovrum, tre badrum, flera däck och terrasser fram och bak, med en pool i den muromgärdade bakre gården. Partiet är ca 10.000 kvm.
Segling, simning, fågelskådning och fiske finns i närheten. Stranden är offentliga, men är mestadels glest ockuperade och fredlig, utom på långa helger och helgdagar då det blir ganska livlig.
Lokal stadskultur sträcker sig från fiskebyarna Chelem och Chuburna, med barer och restauranger som sträcker sig från grundläggande till utmärkt, ofta lokala festivaler, och dag till dag shopping, Merida, en stad med omkring 1 M, 45 minuter bort.
Merida har vackra historiska kvarter och shoppingområden, konstgallerier och museer, underbara restauranger, professionella idrottsanläggningar, och alla bekvämligheter och tjänster från andra moderna nordamerikanska städer, däribland en världsklass sjukhus och Wal-Mart.
När du lämnar vår korta lokalväg, som är hårt packad sand, dessa destinationer kan nås via asfalterade vägar och motorvägar.
Inom 150km finns flera Maya-ruiner, vildmarksområden och cenotes (vackra, naturliga underjordiska pooler för varma dagar).

beachfront treasure

We had such a wonderful visit to this home. The views from the kitchen sink ALMOST made dish washing enjoyable! Steve, the agent, was great - thoughtful and attentive. There was 5 of us, plenty of room, and 3 are already planning their return visit. We were off season, so it was quiet and relaxing. Went to Progresso 1 afternoon for dinner and shopping. Another great activity was going by boat to a local fresh water spring. Saw 2 groups of flamingos. I can highly recommend this property to anyone who loves Mexico.

Beautiful Property in Charming Chelem

My husband and I and our small dog truly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. It was wonderful to wake up every morning to watch the birds dive into the sea. We loved walking on the beach and breathing in the fresh air. Very peaceful and serene atmosphere. Chelem is a charming little town with some very good restaurants and friendly people. A true gem!

It's a perfect spot

The pictures don't really do the house or the spot justice. Just a few steps off the lovely patio onto powdery sand beach with great surf to swim in. Nothing but praise for the place, can't wait to go back.

Wonderful 5 weeks in Chelem

This was a wonderful home for five weeks. Steve the property manager was very helpful and responded quickly to any questions or concerns I had. My grandchildren loved the pool and the beach. Highly recommend this property.

I have stayed in this area five different houses. I loved this one the best. The layout of the house is great and has plenty of space. The views are great. Pool is nice. Cant say enough good things about his house.

Great beach home in Chelem/Progreso

We loved our stay. The house was beautiful, large and nicely stocked with everything we could need. We only needed groceries. The hosts were easy to deal with and the property manager was responsive and helpful. Would totally stay here again!

Amazing....

Stop! This is your house. What an excellent property! We had such a great experience, not sure you could find anything comparable, especially for the cost... 100% recommended from a long-time VRBO user! (PS, La Milagrosa restaurant was great, and for Boat Rentals, we recommend Mahala - ask for Claudio)

Great home in a great location.

We really enjoyed our stay at casa Garceta. We were able to take our 4 kids and really enjoy some time away. The house was clean, well equipped, and modern. The pool was a great place for the kids to play. The home had all the necessities that one would need in vacation. The beach was great. The whole area was lively. We felt safe and loved our stay. Steve was very responsive to any needs we had. We would definitely recommend this home to others and will go again.

2nd time we've stayed here for relaxing family holiday. Pool is great for kids.

We love this house. It’s the second time we’ve stayed here as everything we need for a relaxing holiday is here. Both the owner and management agent provided an excellent service. The location is ideal for day trips to Progreso, Merida and surrounding areas and the beach is stunning. Pool ideal for kids. We’ll be back again,

Enjoyed out stay 100%.

The house is exactly like the pictures. Everything is there that you could need to have a great time. Steve was great and helped any time we needed it. If I had to complain about anything, the wi/fi was slow, but other than that, great stay!!

Very Spacious Home Right on the Beach.

We loved this home and thought the photographs didn't do it justice. It is huge. Terrific design and nicely furnished. Very well equipped and supplied, and very clean. (I did get the urge to sweep through after a couple of days as we had some windy afternoons which would bring in the sand, but hey it's the beach). The Gulf side deck was great for that first coffee. The pool very nice, with a couple of 'gravity' chairs we used during our stay. There is a huge tub in the master bedroom which I wouldn't think has much privacy, overlooking the sea. We did a couple of day trips from here and enjoyed eating out both in Progresso and Chelem. We were lucky enough to be there on a Monday to get a meal from the Chelem Curry Club, look them up on FB!

A great, quiet spot right on the beach

My children and I enjoyed our stay over the holidays. The property manager was responsive and helpful. The house was very well laid out and comfortable. There were very few people around so we had the beach to ourselves. We ventured into town (Chelem) and had a great dinner in Progreso. There is a fisherman who sold us some fresh shrimp and red snapper so that was delicious and the weather in December was perfect. All around, if you're up for an adventure, this is the spot to be.

Relaxing and Modern Accommodation

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Casa Garceta from January 17 to February 14, 2017. The layout of the house easily accommodated the four of us, and we enjoyed the many windows and views which provided lots of light and cooling air flow. The air conditioned bed rooms made for comfortable sleeping. We enjoyed having our morning coffee on the front patio as the ocean was very calm during this time of the day. It was nice watching the pelicans diving for fish and the fishermen setting their nets each morning. We also enjoyed the pool and back patio, especially when the winds picked up in the afternoon. The satellite TV and Wifi worked very well. We used Uber and taxis the first week we were there, which worked well, but decided to rent a car which gave us more freedom to explore the area. We all felt safe at the home and walking the neighborhood or driving to the city of Merida. The owner of the property was very good at responding to any questions we had before hand and the property manager was excellent at seeing that everything was taken care during our stay. We would highly recommend this property and the close proximity to the quaint and truly authentic Mexican town of Chelem.

Modern home on the beach

The house is as it seems in the pictures. I believe it is four years old and it's an architectural delight. It is in Chelem and it is right on the beach - absolutely gorgeous. Five of us spent nearly two weeks in Casa Garceta and had a wonderful, relaxing time. The days would get hot and the pool was great to use in the morning to cool off and relax. Our 4 & 6 year old children loved being able to swim in the mornings and then walk the beach for shells and swim in the afternoons. The home itself was spacious, airy and clean. Sliding doors abound and there's a great breeze in the afternoons that moves through the house. Cable TV is provided and works well. Be advised - while there is Internet & Wi-Fi, the speed is very modest. We brought our Apple TV down thinking we could stream movies for the kids and the Internet was not sufficient to do streaming. We should have realized this up front. It took us four days of relaxing and having fun before we realized and remembered that we had cable TV! The home is located ~40 minutes from Merida and ~30 minutes from Progreso. You can see the cruise ships on clear days from the home. The propery manager, David, is excellent and extremely responsive. Our family had a great time at Casa Garceta and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in a quaint village.

super , très bien situé

Maison très récente et super bien placée , juste un peu dur a trouvé la première fois mais après tout vas bien .Avec plein de pélicans sympa de prendre un petit dej avec les oiseaux juste a coté .Les gens super sympa a coté , nous retournerons surement !!!!

We live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. We visited friends in Chelem a few years ago and decided it would be a wonderful place to build a 'winter escape home'. We are extremely pleased with the house, but given that most of our friends and family (including three little grandchildren!) are in Western Canada, we do not expect to spend more than two months a year there. To us, it makes all kinds of sense for others to enjoy the house and its setting when we can't.

As we expect is the case with most people who buy vacation properties, we did not search the entire world looking for the 'perfect spot'. Our visit a few years ago convinced us that it would be difficult to do significantly better, so we bought the lot and built the house.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Although we are extremely pleased with how the house turned out, it is the setting that appeals the most. We have white sand and green water for our front yard, charming fishing villages to the east and west, the substantial town of Progreso 15 minutes to east, the wonderful City of Merida 40 minutes away, and historic and natural treasures within easy driving distance. Our neighbors include generally happy and helpful locals and a significant proportion of ex-pats, mostly from the US and Canada.
