Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property is at a convenient location (walkalbe to many attractions) and has a great ocean view. The unit may need a little bit of upgrade, but we enjoyed the Friday fireworks from the balcony. Beach chairs, towels, umbrella and some beach activity toys are available in the unit and free parking is plus.

Magnificent view!

Very nice view, well maintained condo. Elevators were the only downside, it can take a while and there were not enough of them. Parking was a huge plus, esp in Waikiki. Overall, great stay.

A Dream Getaway for "Livin' the Life"

A thoroughly pleasant getaway spot with comfortable beds, killer views and parking included. Would not hesitate to rent this property again in the future. It's a real gem! Jean Colburn, the Property Manager is First Class in every respect. Our group of 4 older adults loved this place!

Wonderful location. Amazing views. We rented a car and had were able to easily get around. Having a dedicated parking spot at the hotel was key.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful property located in the Ilikai on the 19th floor. Furnishings and kitchen and bedrooms were more than adequate. One of the cutting boards in the kitchen was dirty and the floors were sticky in some areas. Overall it was a great place to stay and you really cant beat the view at any time of day. We put the beach chairs to good use and they were fantastically comfortable. Although we did have to youtube how to fold them back together which is ridiculously simple as it should be.

Great place/Bad timing

Property and location was great! Any other time this would’ve been a great experience! lots of great local restaurants, proximity to the beach was great. Unfortunately, the service workers from the Hilton have been on strike for several weeks now and every day every hour they were chanting and walking around the hotels. You could hear it very clearly from the 19th floor and that made the stay less than optimal

Beautiful Views

The view was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed waking up each morning to the surfers waiting to catch the next wave and a beautiful sunrise. The location was perfect for getting to any place on the island. The manager, Paul, was punctual and very informative when we arrived. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Awesome views!!

We really enjoyed the apartment. It enough room for 5 of us, was clean and everything worked. We loved to location - close to everything. It was easy to walk to restaurants and the ocean. The only thing I would suggest changing are the beach chairs. None of them were operable and there were not enough beach towels. Overall, it was a wonderful stay.

Kitchen needs help

The condo and location were great! I wasn't impressed with the check in process. I contacted our property manager and had to leave a message regarding our door code and parking information. That was around 3 PM. I didn't hear back from them (via text) until 11:10 pm with the information.

We had our daughter and husband coming that day and they needed showers after a long flight. The water tank was fixed later that day. Captain Cook's relocated us the Waikiki Towers. This unit was beautiful...gorgeous view!

Family reunion and wedding

Great location, fantastic view, lovely apartment but starting to show some age, could have been a little cleaner. Owners could make apartment feel more welcoming by a small gift for guests ie Wine,chocolates,flowers. This makes a guest feel like the host really cares that they enjoy there stay. Also most travellers expect to have tea, coffee and maybe milk in the apartment for there arrival. Our whole family stayed in this property all booking through different companies and there was a varying difference in quality of the apartment. Some apartments being much nicer for a lesser cost. We enjoyed our time in Waikiki and would recommend the Illikai as a great place to stay.

Reviewer Comments: The unit itself is excellent but their housekeeping service needs some " Kleenex in our master bath, and two maintenance issues...the convection feature of the oven does not work and the dishwasher is jacked-up...top rack sags down for lack of a better term, and with the height of the dinner plates in the bottom rack, it prevents the upper wash-arm from turning. reported this to the property manager. Also insufficient quantity of dishwasher detergent was supplied.

Reviewer Comments: We were on the go most of the time, but our favorite time in the condo were the early morning hours where the four of us sipped our tea and coffee and enjoyed the beautiful views from this lovely condo. Outstanding! One of our lanai doors to the side would not open, so we contacted Paul, our property manager, who came over that day and replaced bearings on the door - not a simple task! Very responsive and personable! (Their cleaning team missed sweeping the floors before we came, but this was not a huge deal, along with a few minor maintenance issues.) You cannot get a better view of the Friday evening fireworks show! We would highly recommend this condo! The free parking was also very much appreciated. Lovely beach chairs and two boogie boards, along with a soft cooler for your beach excursions.

It has the view

Overall great property, however some honest things to note. Parking was an issue. Each day upon our return the designated spot was taken. While each time i was given a new spot it was inconvenient to have to call and await response to park. This also lead to confusion for host which caused entering the house unannounced and a repeat visit to gather key left in wrong unit. The host was very apologetic, but I am sure it was not a one time issue and upon given a parking spot and the next day same issue with both spots leads one to believe it is not managed well. Place was clean, but floors could use to be mopped, outside areas swept and windows cleaned. You are over paying for the view definitely not priced accordingly to benefits. House has very little amenities and the towels are subpar even compared to standard hotels. While our stay was good i felt a bit disappointed in the place other than the view. Again host was also great when needed, but there was just some things that should not be happening when you are paying that night cost amount. If you care most about a view and close to beach I recommend 100%. given a new spot

Beautiful condo with great views

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo is just as lovely in person as it is in the photos. This was a perfect configuration for us - our two young adult daughters shared the room with two twin beds. They liked that they had their own lanai, as this corner unit has them on two sides! You can see the launch spot for the Hilton's Friday Fireworks from this unit, although we went down into the mass of people for the experience. This unit is walkable to many shops and restaurants, but you'll want a car to visit other areas. Our only issue was that the management company seemed to have our stay dates confused - at least once that we are aware of they enterd the unit without notice. One of our girls was in the shower!, but luckily someone else was there too so they left right away. I can't say if they are quickly responsive to issues or not, as I didnt have any - but the only message I ever got was the entry procedures one. No replies to other comments I sent as we checked in or out.

From the lobby you could tell this was an older building but the suite was nicely renovated with good furnishings. The view was nice with large windows all around. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and such except that the pots weren't usable. They looked very dirty like previous people used it/burned something and tried to scratch it off and thus damaging the pots? We needed to boil water but the kettle didn't look good inside either as there was some black residue of some sort. Bathrooms were clean and the heated toilet seats were "interesting."A bonus was getting to see the fireworks up front on Friday night from the balcony!Location is great for walking to Ala Moana Shopping Centre and Wal-Mary. The Hilton beach was nice too (except for the rocks - water shoes are good to bring!). The Açaí bowl from the coffee shop downstairs is the BEST! We had them from many different places and this one was the best by far!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Twin Bedrm: A/C needed 2ea batteries, Jean brought 4ea and we replaced. Left 2ea for Jean.Bathrm with single basin: 1 overhead light out. We found halogen replacement above refrig cabinet. Toto washlet wand was FILTHY(we had to clean)and made Jean aware to tell cleaning people to clean.Kitchen: Stove Air fan not working. 3 lights out. Jean said On Order. Dishwasher top loading tray needs repairs as when you pull top tray out(falls down). Jean aware to have repaired.Diningrm: 4 ea Dining chair seat cushions need to be cleaned, dirty spots everywhere. Made Jean aware to have cleaned.Livingrm: Sliding door stuck and hard to open. Jean came and opened and returned to WD-40; then ok.Master bedrm: Sliding door stuck(same problem). Jean returned and WD-40; then no problem. Bureau drawers(2 top)slide out by themselves(off balance). Made Jean aware.Master bathrm: Towel rack fell off(Jean had repairman repaired it back to wall). 1 overhead light out, we found lightbulb above refrig cabinet and replaced. Toto washlet cleaning wand was FILTHY(we had to clean). Made Jean aware of problem for cleaning people. Shower doors not in slide tray so when you open sliding door, it flops open. Need to be repaired. Jean aware of issue.Other than the above problems, Jean Colburn did an outstanding job to our requests immediately! We had a great time in spite of the above issues!
