Featherstone Cottage är ett naturligt val för par (och ensamresande) som letar efter en one-of-a-kind getaway i Hendersonville, NC. Har många bekvämligheter med en unik, eklektisk egen personlighet som visar stor uppmärksamhet på detaljer. Från att öva på vår anpassade att sätta grönt till ett vänligt spel med hästsko till utomhuspeisen är vi en dröm för utomhusälskare. Charming cottage

We absolutely loved your charming cottage. It had so many wonderful touches and everything we needed for a relaxing stay. It was perfectly located near DuPont State Forest and Hendersonville. Chad was a fantastic host and very quick to respond to any questions we had. We can't wait to visit again!

A quaint relaxation for couples

My wife and I stayed for four days last week. Chad, the owner, was very pleasant and helpful during our stay. The hot tub and outdoor fireplace saw plenty of use from us during our trip. The cottage had just enough amenities that we didn't want for anything.

Perfect hideaway in Hendersonville

This is the second time we've stayed at Featherstone but it won't be our last. Every exquisite detail of this charming cottage is perfection including the consummate host, Chad. I wish I could do a 5+ rating for Featherstone.

Perfection

It is rare that a rental exceeds expectations, and this one most definitely did. The cottage was perfect for my needs- small but so well-appointed. The fact that Chad welcomes pets made my stay even more enjoyable. The property was quiet and peaceful; I can only imagine how beautiful it will be later in the spring when the flowers have bloomed. I’m already looking forward to my next stay!

Absolutely superb...chad is the best!

First time using VRBO and Chad's Featherstone was wonderful. He meet use as we drove up, helped us get settled, recommended hiking trails, restaurants, and places to golf...took all his suggestions and it was great. Accommodations were very, very nice...all you needed and could ask for from a nice little kitchen to a hot tub to a cozy bedroom. Diffently on a our places to return to...thanks Chad for a great four days of relaxation! Mike and Marianne

Absolutely Perfect....Wonderful Cottage....Super!

The only thing I would have enjoyed more was a longer stay! This cottage is absolutely perfect for a mini vacation and Chad has thought of everything to make the stay enjoyable. The screen porch was my favorite place after a day of shopping and visiting nearby towns. And it was nice napping in the hammock and watching the squirrels trying to get into the bird feeders. I will definitely be back again. You will not be disappointed....the cottage is exactly what you see online.

Cozy couple getaway with style

My husband and I stayed at Featherstone last weekend and we loved it! Chad has put such thought and care into making his little place stylish, interesting, and unique. It was perfectly sized for two people - we loved having the little kitchen and spent most of our time on the screened in porch enjoying the view. Chad and Cooper were great hosts, helping us get settled then leaving us to our weekend of relaxing and touring. Chad recommended we check out Sierra Nevada's new brewery, and that was the best meal of the trip! I can't say enough good things about picking Featherstone, it was just awesome!

Beautifully peaceful

When I first arrived at the cottage, I wasn't sure if I would like it because I am use to renting cottages that are very isolated. However, the way that Chad has designed the cottage is very private and beautifully done. The birds were definitely my favorite part of the stay since you can watch them and listen to them all day! The hot tub was wonderful and my husband and I enjoyed lounging in the hammock together. I would absolutely recommend this little getaway for anyone. Very comfortable, private and well done!

Lovely retreat for 2

Featherstone is a true haven. After a delayed plane trip and short drive from SC, my boyfriend and I were happy to meet Chad and Cooper, and then get started on our relaxing, long-weekend vacation. Chad has thought of everything-- the cottage's setting, decor, and the attention to detail is phenomenal. So peaceful, amid blooming azaleas and lush woodlands. Asheville is a quick drive, and Hendersonville is as charming as a small town comes (especially the bakery and wine shop!). We hiked, zip-lined, and dined, but were so happy to come back to the cottage at the end of the lane to soak in the hot tub each evening. Absolutely heavenly.

The Perfect Retreat!!

My husband and I just returned from a 2 night visit at Featherstone Cottage. The pictures and description do not do it justice. It was perfect. Every detail that you can imagine, Chad your host, had thought of. The cottage was so comfy, and the screen porch was the perfect spot for reading or watching the chipmunks play. Amazing gem of a cottage with an amazing host.

What an incredible experience! This little cottage is the perfect get-away close to Hendersonville. From the moment you enter the garden, through the screened-in porch and into the cabin interior, the feeling is comforting and welcoming. We loved the decor, the amenities and the little touches such as a bird feeder placed perfectly so you can watch the birds from the chair on the porch. Once we met the owner Chad we understood it all. He is the consummate host. We enjoyed his company so much we even had dinner together out in the garden patio. We're already looking forward to a return visit.

Such a great find!

My wife and I typically chose a local H'ville motel for our weekend exploring/riding/hiking the area. By chance I found Featherstone online and thought we'd give it a try. The cottage is super clean and equipped with everything you need. The location made for a great jumping off point for our exploring day trips in town and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The owner(Chad and Cooper the Dog) greeted us on our arrival, he was very attentive to our needs and made sure we were comfortable. The attention to detail inside and out is amazing. We would not hesitate to recommend to family and friends, our only regret was not being able to stay longer.

Perfect getaway

We've stayed at VRBO properties on several occasions. This is the first 5 star we've given - and it's well deserved. The cottage is perfectly located - close to Hendersonville but still secluded enough for that "getaway" feeling. The cottage is a great mix of charming and eclectic - inside and out. The screened porch is inviting and relaxing. The interior of the cottage is warm and inviting and beautifully decorated. From the furnishings to the Keurig to the bathrobes, Chad has done an amazing job of making sure that everything you could need has been provided. We loved our stay and are looking for our next visit in the near future. Chad - thanks for being such a wonderful host. Jack and Charlotte

Got to admit, you guys where the most prepared/stocked/ready for anything guest we have ever had. Very impressive indeed, right done to your fireplace matches! So I wasn't surprised at all when you pulled out the S"Mors goodies and you even shared them with Cooper and I! It guest like you two that make having guest so much fun. Most wonderful spot--beautifully kept and inviting

This cottage is tucked away like a retreat, but within easy reach of Hendersonville for necessary groceries and also for browsing Main Street's shops. We really enjoyed the beautiful grounds with hammock, horseshoes, fireplace area, and putting green. The interior is charming, beautifully decorated, and well-equipped. Kitchen is tiny but has all the basics. (If you're looking to prepare a feast for a crowd, check out Chad's other properties.) I enjoyed sitting on the porch and getting some work done all by myself, with goldfinch, chipmunks, and humming birds for company. When friends and family came by, we had a great time playing horseshoes, swinging on the bench swing, sitting by the fire, and playing with Izzy the dog. Thanks, Chad, for hosting us!

Great Weekend Escape

What a charming and relaxing place to stay. Chad has thought of everything and is the perfect host. The cottage is beautifully decorated and has so many things to look at and enjoy. We sat on the screened porch or the wood swing with our morning coffee and listened to the birds. It was so peaceful and quiet. The location is very convenient to Hendersonville, Flat Rock, Saluda or Asheville. There was so much to do that we did not get a chance to enjoy the private hot tub or outdoor rock fireplace. We cannot wait to return and enjoy those. And, we must mention Cooper; the friendly and well-behaved Black Lab that greeted us. If you need a restaurant suggestion or where to shop for antiques, just ask Chad. The Purple Onion in Saluda was delicious. Thank you Chad for opening up your guest cottage for us to enjoy!

Incredible Escape from Everything!

We could not have had a better time during our weekend at Featherstone. I can not say enough about how charming the cottage is. It is the perfect balance of simple luxuries, whimsical decor, and country charm. Chad thought of everything when making the home functional and feel like a real retreat from everyday life. The backyard is so quite and peaceful. I loved sitting outside in the early morning and hearing roosters and cows in the distance, and in the afternoons the picnic table and little putting green made for some fun yet relaxing times. The best part- by far- is the hot tub! We sat in the hot tub for at least an hour both nights and felt the most relaxed we had in months! The location made it perfect for venturing up to Asheville for breweries but also to Dupont and Pisgah for hiking during the day. Chad was very helpful and gave wonderful restaurant recommendations. We can't wait to return as soon as possible and make Featherstone a home away from home! See you soon, Chad and Cooper!

Cute Cottage!

We stayed at Featherstone Cottage during a weekend trip to Flat Rock and Hendersonville. Very convenient to both towns, and in a quiet area. The cottage was perfect for the two of us. Spotlessly clean. Had a bedroom, galley kitchen, a good-sized bath, and a nice porch. As I shared with the owner, I found the space is so efficient and well thought out. It's not a large place, but everything we could need seemed to be there. We didn't cook, but it would be fine for a doing a simple meal. Liked the Keurig coffee machine! It was not overly crowded with knick-knacks (one of my personal pet peeves), and there were interesting books as well as information about the local area. Bed and linens were comfy. The cottage has lots of shelves, cabinets and hooks to put things away. We were gone exploring the area most of the time and so we didn't get a chance to enjoy the outside fireplace, hammock, hot tub or putting green, but these seemed like great amenities. The owner was great to work with and made things simple. All in all, a great place and we would definitely stay again as well as recommend to others!

Wonderfully relaxing vacation visit!

My wife and I had a very enjoyable five-night vacation stay here. The guest house is very comfortable, with a very livable design. The bathroom is large and includes an oversized sink, which we liked, and a shower with plenty of hot water. Chad even provided shampoos, soaps, and hair dryer. The kitchen is small but has everything anyone would need for a vacation stay. The queen bed was really comfortable, and a small couch provided additional seating. There was even enough light provided for reading, something we don't always find in vacation homes. The screen porch was perfect for relaxing and watching the birds-- and the hot tub was a delightful extra. The gardens and swings made for delightful outdoor jaunts. Chad was a congenial and helpful host, offering us great suggestions for restaurants (make sure you go to the Hubba Hubba Smokehouse in Flat Rock, folks!), and for shorter routes that only locals know. (And Cooper offered his input, too!) We were extremely happy with Featherstone Cottage, and definitely plan to stay there again. While in the area don't miss shows at Flat Rock Playhouse, Jump Off Rock, shopping in downtown Hendersonville and lots of great restaurants. (try HenDough for breakfast--awesome donuts and chicken biscuits--big enough to share!)

An unexpected delight!

I am in Hendersonville NC every few weeks and I always stay in vacation rental properties so I am well acquainted with the standards that western NC vacation rentals keep. I was lucky enough to book the Featherstone cottage for a recent trip and I was so glad I did. Every detail of this place is amazing! I loved the privacy and serenity that this lovely property offers - tucked away, but not far from anything and everything you need. The house was very well equipped and ideal for one or two guests. Chad, the owner and Izzy (Chad's boss aka the sweet dog who greets you on arrival) were terrific, helpful and hospitable. The bed was very comfortable, and the linens were soft and cozy. Some great creature comforts like user-friendly tv remotes, plenty of vanity/storage space in the bathroom, great/fun books in every room, fast internet, really lovely outdoor space(s), and colorful, well kept landscape were evidence of Chad's careful attention to detail. One of the best things - Chad has no check-out process (most places want the beds stripped, etc, but at Featherstone Cottage, all you do is 'leave'.) I highly recommend this gem. And, I will surely return to this, or perhaps one of the other Featherstone residences in the near future. Many thanks to Izzy and Chad for your lovely hospitality.

Beautiful cottage close to Hendersonville.

My wife and I spent a week at the Featherstone Cottage. The cottage and the property are lovely. It is very quiet, and private, yet you are just minutes from Hendersonville. The owner, Chad, was very attentive to our needs. We will definitely stay here again.
