We had our wedding here. It was such breath taken views. The kitchen was fully equipped. Layout was nice and had a TON of space. We had our wedding at this location and Unfortunately bc the lack of cleanliness, it didn’t allow us to accommodate family that came from out of town to stay (sleeps I believe 16) I’m hoping the owners do not pay anyone to clean the property prior to the next stay bc the amount of chips, dirty, shoes, bags, cigarette butts, empty bottles in each pull out bed was horrible. We couldn’t use the jacuzzi for our “honeymoon suit” bc the amount of dirty, dust, and looked like shoe prints. Showers were a “get in and get out fast” bc they were nasty. Toliet had previous stay “bathroom” in it. Upkeeping like the broken blinds, etc was a let down. I literally cannot express how surprised I was of the lack of cleanliness. But our out of town guest couldn’t stay but 5 of the supposed to be 15. Thank God for a last min connect bc the house surround sound audio system worked but then day of check in didn’t work. So I had less than a day to find a dj. Overall beautiful place. Amazing host and grounds keeping. Amazing communication. But how let down I was of major amenities, not working, condition of the house (blinds, counter piece w nails out, fans not working master bedroom exist to patio door jammed etc) I wouldn’t have stayed. Family drove far. Had to leave to buy rooms. And my wedding “honeymoon” night we contemplating leaving ourselves.

Cabin Experience

The house was perfect for our youth group retreat. Lots of space and beautiful setting. However, the kitchen and floors were very dirty, the kitchen was poorly stocked with basic cookware, one toilet overflowed and the owner decided to wait to deal with it until after we left (told us just not to use that bathroom). The property manager dealt with some of our issues (a porch swing broke with 2 of our youth on it) but his phone reception was terrible so communication was hard. Probably would not use this house again.

Family camping trip

Wonderful property, very beautiful place to stay. Made our very first family camping trip a blast. Only thing we faced during the stay was troublesome Wi-Fi connection however everything else was magnificent.

Lovely secluded location

My favorite part was the fire pit! It even lightly snowed to set the seen! Plenty rooms for all my guest! Definitely recommend!

Christmas Celebration 2022

After the death of our parents my siblings & I gathered at the Baynes Family Farm to celebrate Christmas 2022. Our family was dissatisfied. We stayed at the home the coldest weekend of the year with single-digit temperatures below freezing & the main fireplace didn't work, which help keep the upper two bedrooms warm. Online booking was easy, but reponses to emails were not addressed in a timely matter. The instructions on the contract were differenct than the instructions in the house. I was informed while in transit from Alabama to North Carolina that towels and sheets were not provided due to a new cleaning protocal, but my contract stated they would be provided. The contract was signed over 6 months ago. I found the following disatisfactions and recommend the faculty be updated and maintenace is required immediately: 1. Linen and sheets were in the contract, but I was notified after I left Alabama. The owner provided inadequate linen and towels. 2. The faculty wasn't clean. 3. The driveway was covered with ice and we had family members with difficulties walking. 4. The alarm system went off and I had to call the manager to disarm it, which took over 20 minutes. 5. Dirty dishes were left in the diswasher. 6. Linen and sheets were in the contract, but I was notifed after I left home that sheets and towels won't be provided. 7. The sheets that were actually at the facility were only for twin bunk-beds & not for the larger beds. No fitted sheets nor top sheets were provided. 8. Towels were dingy and had a mildew/sour smell. 9. Fireplace in family room didn't work. 10. The top two bedrooms were cold. Contacted the manager & was informed to turn up the themostat on each floor. Had to keep the two upper bedroom doors open to generate the heat. 10. The showers/tubs and sink drained very slow. 11. The kitchen sink didn't have a stopper to wash dishes. 12. The refrigerator vegetable bend shelf was broken. 13. The stove was dirty. 14. The 3 upstairs beds were horrible & very uncomfortable and it felt like the beds would possibly break with any slight movement while sleeping in them. As a small business, I recommend maintence for the facility immediately. If there are problems keeping the facility clean during the Christmas Holiday season, perhaps this facility should not be rented out during this time frame. The facility is beautiful & had the potential to have my recommendation to others, but my experience was unpleasant.

Christmas Holiday

This was our first experience at a cabin. We loved it. We had everything that we needed. The property was well taken care of. It was very peaceful.
