Perfekt för dagliga utflykter i Umbrien, Toscana och Lazio, till exempel till Florens, Rom, Siena, Cortona, Perugia, Assisi, Orvieto, Chianti, Trasimensjön, etc. Huset kombinerar komforten i en villa med den lantliga karaktären i en gammal bondgård med stora bostadsområden och möjligheten att gå på landsbygden.

Ligger cirka 3,5 km från Città della Pieve, en vacker liten stad med många restauranger.

Om du gillar att cykla ...: cirka 10 km från vårt hus finns stigen "Canale Maestro della Chiana", som går från Chiusi till Arezzo med ett hål på cirka 60 km.
Det är en promenad i etruskernas gamla rike där du har chansen att beundra antingen en fantastisk natur eller se hur denna natur förvandlades under århundradena. All denna borrning är endast för fotgängare och cyklar, så du behöver inte oroa dig för bilar. I staden Chiusi är det möjligt att hyra cyklar.

25 km från Palazzolo finns det också en cykelrutt runt Trasimeno-sjön. Denna borr är cirka 40 km, varav en del endast är för cyklar. Cyklar kan hyras i Castiglion del Lago.

Perfect vacation!

We have just returned after staying 11 days at this wonderful location. The house is well kept throughout and the kitchen is extremely well equipped, there is reliable WIFI available, as well as TV, fireplace etc. The pool area is beautiful with sun beds available for everybody. The actual swimming pool is very large and clean. Our group (6 adults and 3 kids) spent many hours just enjoying the sun and swimming. The house is an old farmhouse situated on a hill with great privacy but still not far from main tourist attractions such as Sienna, Orvieto, Florence and Montepulciano. But after a day in busy Siena it is definitely a relief returning to Palazzolo and the a lot less touristy closeby town of Citta della Pieve. The town is a genuine hidden treasure with great restaurants and beautiful architecture. Although there are many great restaurants in Citta della Pieve we found ourselves making dinner at home most evenings since we all enjoy cooking. The groceries you can find in this part of the world are just superb and barbecuing your own fresh cut T-bone steak (Bistecca Fiorentina) over a fire of olive tree wood tastes fantastic. We believe we are quite experienced in renting vacation houses and we have rented many houses in different parts of the world over the last 7-10 years, but this place has become the most popular amongst our family and we have now rented it three times in total. This is genuine and for real. The hosts Maria, her husband Heikki and Marias brother takes very good care of their guests to make sure they have a great stay while respecting their guests’ privacy. Nothing beats waking up in the morning, see the beautiful Italian landscape and walk down through the wine yard to the local bakery in Ponticelli to buy freshly made bread for breakfast. When we left the house in our rental car heading for Rome the kids (aged 8 and 11) asked “When will we return?”

What a wonderful place.

This was a week long birthday party. Friends and family came together from Europe and the USA. I could not have chosen a better place. The farmhouse is just perfect. The setting is superb. The hosts are charming, kind and unbelievably helpful. We had a superb time and want to thank Maria and her husband for their care and kindness. The town, Citta della Pieve - just up the hill, is enchanting. We hiked, we dined, we wine tasted, we explored hilltop towns. We had a phenomenal time. A fairy tale come true.

Wonderful Visit

We stayed here for 3-4 weeks in the month of September with our family of 14. We had our Grandparents, parents and kids with room and space for all of us. The farmhouse was very clean, spacious and actually better than advertised. The property was in great shape, the pool was the cleanest of any vacation that we have done. You are close to many small villages/towns, wineries, train station; all within 15 minutes. Maria was an amazing host that went above and beyond to ensure our stay met expectations. From having some food and wine ready for us at the house when we arrived, to cleaning the pool every morning, having fresh linens whenever needed, a clean of the house once per week, and helping with any local recommendations that we needed; Maria helped every step of the way. Thank you again Maria!

Beautiful house in a lovely location

We had a lovely stay at Citta della Pieve. Lots of space and the house was spotless with everything we needed. The pictures on the website did not do justice to the house and surroundings - even better than I expected (and I had high expectations!). The pool area is spacious and inviting and the pool itself brilliant for our keen swimmer teenager and adults. Quite deep though - would need to keep a close eye on novice-swimmers. Maria and her team were very helpful and we very much enjoyed our holiday.

Lovely place

We spent a week in this lovely house which is spacious and private. Lots of rooms and bathrooms. A nice kitchen and access to two refrigerators and a big freezer for ice and ice cream. Lovely pool which was cleaned every morning.Very beautiful landscape and view. Very nice host who responded immediately to every question. We recommend it and would definately consider coming back. With two small kids, aged 2 and 4, we furthermore appreciated that the pool area is fenced and can be locked.

Schöner Familienurlaub

Sehr schönes und sauberes Haus. Platz gibt es mehr als genug. Die Gastgeber sind super freundlich und sofort zur Stelle sollte es an irgendwas fehlen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind innerhalb weniger Minuten zu erreichen. Wir haben den Urlaub mit 4 Erwachsenen, 4 Kindern und einem Hund sehr genossen.

Alles Bestens, kommen gerne wieder.

Wir haben lange gesucht und endlich besagtes Objekt gefunden. Die Kommunikation mit Maria war reibungslos und immer superschnell. Das Haus ist von der Autobahn schnell zu erreichen und darüberhinaus ist es sehr gut ausgestattet. Ventilatoren, Kaffeemaschine, separater Getränkekühlschrank, Tiefkühlschrank, sowie Verbrauchsmittel sind ebenfalls vorhanden. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und eine super Pizzaria sind ebenfalls kurzfristig erreichbar. Der Check In und Check Out Prozess war einfach und schnell. Der Pool war in der heißen Zeit unverzichtbar und immer gut gepflegt. Alles in allem ein rundum gelungener Urlaub. Vielen Dank für Alles.

Tolle Unterkunft in guter Lage

Wir (6x Erwachsene und 6x Kinder) haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Haus ist unglaublich geräumig und bietet ausreichend Platz und Ausstattung, um sich wohl zu fühlen. Der Pool war ebenfalls ein Highlight und wurde vom Host sehr aufmerksam gepflegt. Einziger Wermutstropfen: je nach Windrichtung hört man in der Nacht die Bahnstrecke im Tal. Wir haben das erfolgreich mit Bier, Wein oder Ohrstöpsel gelöst. Die Lage ist ansonsten top: Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind rund 10 Autominuten entfernt. Zudem bietet die Umgebung mehrere Dörfer, die einen Besuch wert sind. Maria, ihr Mann und ihr Bruder waren sehr freundlich und jederzeit ansprechbar. So macht Urlaub Spaß!

Besser als exzellent 👌🏽

Mit dem Titel dieser Bewertung ist wirklich nichts übertrieben dargestellt … nicht nur das Haus ist wunderschön, traditionell Italienisch eingerichtet und alles wie auf den Bildern gezeigt sondern auch die Umgebung in der dieses sich befindet ist top. Das Anwesen ist riesig in Mitten von Weinbergen - perfekt, um entspannt seinen Urlaub zu verbringen. Der Pool wird früh morgen nach Absprache immer frisch gerichtet und ist ebenfalls super schön. Maria (Vermieterin) und ihr Mann sind zuvorkommend und super freundlich. Die beiden kümmern sich sogar um die Organisation von Extrawünsche, wie zum Beispiel einer Weinverkostung. Alles in allem einfach nur ein Traum 💭

Perfect Property!

We are two families comprising 4 adults and 5 teenagers. We had the most wonderful stay here! The property is even more beautiful than it appears in the listing. It is incredibly spacious and is beautifully open plan which means plenty of room for everyone whilst still allowing us to be together. Maria met us upon arrival and explained everything we needed to know about the property, she even led us to the closest supermarket in Chiusi so we wouldn’t lose our way. The property has everything you could possibly need for your stay and the views from the terrace are spectacular. The swimming pool was perfect and I have never had more comfortable sun loungers on any holiday. The closest town, Citta della Pieve, is just beautiful with fantastic restaurants and quaint, narrow, cobbled streets. Maria was on hand to answer any questions or queries that we had and was a very gracious host. Cannot recommend this property highly enough!!

Large, nice house in a quiet location, yet close to Citta della Pieve.

Very nice house with large swimming pool. Amazing view and quiet location, yet close to restaurants and shops in Citta della Pieve. Maria and her husband are very nice people who are always willing to help. Ideally located to visit Umbria and the south of Tuscany. We had a wonderful vacation!

Uitstekend familiehuis

Groot huis, grote tuin, mooie ruime slaapkamers en badkamers, heel veel privacy, prachtig terras en diverse overdekte plekken om in de schaduw te kunnen zitten. Prachtig afsluitbaar ( belangrijk met kleinere kinderen) ruim zwembad. Minpunt is, weliswaar afhankelijk van de windrichting, dat er heel veel treinen passeren wat echt geluidsoverlast geeft. Uitzicht is schitterend. Uitstekend verzorgd en schoon, zeer vriendelijke en servicegerichte eigenaren.

Amazing house with breath-taking views. Private and spacious living accommodation which worked for adults and teens. The pool is wonderful and offers loads of sunshine with views to the vineyards . Excellent!

Beautiful views, helpful accommodating hosts, wonderfully appointed property offering seclusion.

We loved the location; the property offered us privacy with superb facilities but with easy access to a beautiful hilltop village offering superb dining and fabulous history to experience. The property was brilliantly appointed and Maria made sure we had essentials left for us; she couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. The view across the hillside were spectacular.

Everything was perfect !!

The pictures of this home do not do it justice, Palazzolo is much bigger than it looks! All rooms inside the house are big with plenty of open space. You could easily accommodate 2 families with their own space on separate upper floors (We only needed the middle floor to sleep our family). The pool is big and deep with amazing views over the valleys. Only a few hundred metres from the main road, but you feel total seclusion from everyone else if you like your privacy. Maria was absolutely lovely to deal with and left us alone to enjoy our time there. Whenever we did need to contact her, she responded quickly and always made us feel looked after. The town 'Citta della Pieve' is a beautiful and interesting medieval town, with some great places to eat at very reasonable prices if you have kids. We know we will be back, it's perfect!

Beautifully situated, amazing views, wonderful swimming pool

Family and friends stayed here with us and we enjoyed a glorious week of sunshine. We all completely relaxed, and had a really chilled week, and even found it difficult to leave the pool and visit our favourite cafe/bar in Citta della Pieve! The farmhouse was very spacious, cool and comfortable. We had our dinner on the balcony overlooking the hills, where we would stay to chat and eat late into the evening. The house was close to the town of Citta della Pieve, and although we had camper vans we had no trouble parking. We had a wonderful time at Sienna, but beware if you take a camper van as they will charge you over £20 to park as it is the same amount if you are staying overnight. It is definitely worth having dinner in the famous square in Sienna and watch the sunset. We would definitely like to come back again one day.

Wonderful and great location!

We loved staying at Palazzolo in Citta della Pieve. The house is very well appointed and also very comfortable. We spent most of our time at the kitchen, having meals at the covered table outside the kitchen, and the pool. It has beautiful views and is surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. The house is perfectly located at the border between Tuscany and Umbria, so you can easily get to great towns in Tuscany (Montepulciano and Montalcino) as well as must-see towns in Umbria (Assisi, Orvieto, Spoleto, Montefalco, etc). The house is a 5 minute drive to Citta della Pieve, which is a beautiful medieval town that has great restaurants. Maria and Heikki couldn't have been more accommodating. I highly recommend this house and would return if I go back to the area.

A perfect place for a vacation

Maison très agréable et grande.

Un grand merci à Maria qui, malgré une arrivée très tardive (avion annulé et perte des bagages), nous a attendu jusqu'à 23h!, nous a proposé de nous faire quelques courses pour ne pas être sans rien à notre arrivée, et cela avec toujours beaucoup de gentillesse. La maison est très spacieuse, la literie est très bonne, la piscine est un vrai paradis, sécurisée pour les enfants pour une très grande tranquillité. Le jardin est suffisamment grand et il y a quelques jeux pour les enfants avec un badminton par exemple. Service irréprochable, Maria a même géré avec la compagnie aérienne pour nous ramener nos bagages, de bons conseils sur les endroits à visiter, bref, c'était vraiment un très bon moment.

Beautiful views everywhere!

We stayed at this beautiful villa with another family and so enjoyed our week there. Maria and her husband have created such an amazing setting among their vineyards and the views of the Umbrian/Tuscan countryside were even better than the pictures shown. Maria was always available if we had questions and the house was very clean upon arrival. We did not want to leave the property even though we had many hilltop towns to visit within an hour or less drive! The kids (and the adults!) spent many days in the large, perfectly kept pool. The house is set up really well for 2 families, with 2 equally lovely master bedrooms on the 2nd floor and 3 other bedrooms for the kids to choose from. The nearby village of Citta della Pieve is charming and makes for an easy place to grab a bite to eat or to stop and get snacks for the house. We will always remember our week in this beautiful setting! Oh...one important tip -- be sure to use the coordinates that Maria gives you to find the house the first time!

Super

C est une très belle propriété située au milieu des vignes et à côté d un beau village. La vue est belle. La maison est spacieuse, fonctionnelle, propre,agréable et la piscine est grande, clôturée et un peu à l écart de la maison. Les propriétaires sont charmants et très serviables. Nous avons passe un excellent séjour.
