Spring break

Beautiful home with beautiful views. Flowers in abundance! Short walk to water taxi and we were off to all of our weekend activities. Such a great weekend!

Excellent Family property

This home is both beautiful and extremely comfortable for a family
.we were visiting local relatives and friends with small children and were able to relax in the upstairs den as well as cook and share some nice meals.The neighborhood was lovely to walk in and downtown West Seattle was right around the corner with interesting shops and delicious restaurants.Highly recommend

Wonderful house

This house was perfect for our family. Plenty of space. We love the 2 TV rooms. The kids could be upstairs and Adults down stairs. The view was beautiful. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Beautiful home & neighborhood. Feel as tho the listing is misleading. While it says it sleeps as many as it does, the fine print indicates it is just 2 extra mattresses you can throw on the floor. The picture indicated for those "mattresses" shows a room that you can throw the mattresses in. Take note before booking.

Perfect Location

Great location for staying and visiting the Seattle area. So close to Alki and the rest of what West Seattle has to offer and a short drive to the Ballard locks, Seattle aquarium, the Museum of Flight and so much more. The HUGH selection of Legos and other kid friendly toys was a bonus for our 2 boys!

Comfort of Home

Our family enjoyed staying at this home very much. The home is clean, comfortable, and met our needs for an extended weekend exploring Seattle. It is a short walk to several bus routes and to the Seattle Water Taxi as well. After busy days, it was great to come back in the evening and have several spaces and nooks for everyone to relax and enjoy downtime.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful time in West Seattle. Great location with outstanding views. It was a quiet neighborhood with spectacular of the Seattle skyline. Two bald eagles flew over the house on our last day. The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We would plan to stay there again on our next trip to Seattle.

Spectacular views!

We had a great stay. The house had everything thing we needed, and the views of Puget Sound and the Seattle skyline were spectacular. The host was extremely responsive to any questions we had, always replying right away. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful house, great neighborhood!

We had (2) families for (3) nights and had the best time. The house was well equipped with anything we needed. Lots of kids movies and games which my three year old enjoyed. Would stay again.

Quiet Beach Getaway

I travel to Seattle often for scuba diving along the Alki Beach area, but like the quiet at night. This home provided a quiet place to retreat at the end of the day while still being within a short distance from shops and restaurants. Anyone looking for a relaxing place to unwind while visiting Seattle would do well in this home.

Great stay in West Seattle

We were in Seattle for a basketball tournament. This location has great access to downtown (driving or ferry) and other communities of greater Seattle. We really enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and were able to walk to a few restaurants for dinners etc. House is well set up for family and has some wonderful old seattle charm. Our youngest forgot his cuddle blanket and owners were wonderful in arranging for that to be sent to us. Overall a great stay and gave us a sense of a wonderful community we had not been exposed to on previous trips to seattle.

Fabulous views and so lucky with the weather. Outdoor covered porch is a great meeting spot.

All ok, though the property is a little in need of cleaning and replacement of certain things (stains on the carpets and on a comforter).

30th birthday celebration

My daughter and her best friends enjoyed the weekend at this beautiful home. It is something that you cannot get in a hotel. They had a feeling of community and not tourist. They loved it!!!

Perfectly Imperfect

This old house is almost 120 years old and showing her age but also irreplaceable character and charm. There have been a few upgrades over the years but she is basically in her original form. Great spaces indoor and out, something very comfortable and relaxing about this place. Nice but not fussy or stuffy, best West Seattle location with good restaurants nearby. Would definitely rent again.

Our experience

The location of the house is beautiful and the house is very quaint. We had a beautiful view of the water and the skyline. We enjoyed sitting out and enjoying it in the evenings. It was a nice walk to the Water Taxi that takes you into downtown in under 15 minutes. Also there are eating places within half a mile. I would especially recommend Mioposto Pizzeria. The only two issues we encountered is that the oven was very dirty and the previous renters had put soiled diapers and garbage in one of the recycling bins in the house which had not been cleaned before the house was rented to us. This was stinking up the house and we had to dispose it. My request to the owner is to check all the bins to make sure that they are all empty. I would highly recommend this house.

While back-packing around Europe in 1994, I worked a summer on the island of Mykonos where I met Nick, my husband. Nick was born and raised in San Jose, CA and went to school on the East Coast in Rhode Island. We married and settled in Seattle in 1997 and raised our 3 children in this home. In 2012 we relocated to San Jose, CA. Seattle and this home have a special place in our hearts which is why we like to share it with guests so they too can experience just how special it is.
