The house was beautiful and the rooms were excellent. Maryline was a wonderful host, making us feel very welcome. We loved the local area and enjoyed all the fantastic places that we visited.

Super Familienurlaub!

Die Gastgeberin Marilyn hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen! Wir haben jeden Tag frische Milch von den eigenen Kühen bekommen, außerdem hat sie uns einen selbstgebackenen Reis Pudding gebracht! Das Haus ist wirklich wunderbar, vor allen Dingen auch warm. Im Garten gibt es ein Haus mit einem Whirlpool. Den haben wir auch täglich sehr genossen.

A lovely Gite with a very welcoming and helpful owner (Maryline,thank you). A good location and perfect for our relaxed short break and very well equipped. As other reviews…truly fantastic and delicious home made rice pudding as a gift from Maryline. We may return.

A Great Location from which to Visit Normandy

Your in for a great adventure. Maryline and her husband have been working on this home for the last 30+ years. Bring the family. I can't say enough good things for this hidden gem. I look forward to bringing others with me when I return. We had a medical issue requiring a perscription for one of our group. We worked with Maryline and had a persription sent to her which she printed and then called the local pharmacy to help us pick up the medication. Many Thanks Maryline!!!!!

Heerlijke woning en sympathieke host

We hebben genoten van de ruimte, alle aanwezige gemakken en de prachtige omgeving. Maryline is bijzonder prettig als host. Ze heeft ons warm verwelkomd en voorzien van handige tips voor het verkennen van Cotentin.

Delightful gite

We loved our stay in this delightful gite and the owner was absolutely lovely. We do have issues about how it was listed through VRBO however as we requested a swimming pool in our search and there wasn't one (but a couple of photos that hinted at it), plus the VRBO support info stated the beach was much closer than it was in their overview info so VRBO were erroneous in their search engine listings. That said, it was a fabulous place and the photos don't do it justice. The outside eating area was perfect and it was great having a bedroom on the ground floor with wheelchair access for my daughter. She couldn't use the ensuite, but could use the shower in the jacuzi so that was great. And the jacuzi was devine! Only compliments for the gite and owner, but disappointed with VRBO.

Peaceful and picturesque

We really enjoyed our time at Manoir De La Champagne. It was easy to find and Maryline was lovely- really helpful and we loved the farm tour, rice pudding and regular milk deliveries. The house is in a beautiful and tranquil part of Normandy. It is a short drive to the beach and to Periers where there are local amenities.. We enjoyed the hot tub and watching the local wildlife around the lake at the end of the garden. Perfect for a family get-together.

Bonjour un séjour extraordinaire propreté dans toute les pièces rien n'a re dire Le jacuzzi impeccable Les propriétaires toujours disponibles et très sympa et visite de leur domaine et du lait frais tout les jours Une belle terrasse et un étang et la visite du chat Spirou Je vous recommande de séjournée dans cet endroit magnifique et très calme et en campagne On se réjouis de repartir dans ce lieu superbe Rosalie et toute l'équipes du Jura Suisse

Great vacation in Normandy

Maryline and her husband gave us a very warm welcome on their farm. The house is spacious and nicely decorated. Big kitchen. We had a nice time in the jacuzzi. Comfortable beds. There are fish in the pond - bring your fishing-rod. Beautiful cats and birds. We had a very interesting farm tour and learned a lot about modern automatic milk production. The milk is delicious. Maryline knows everything there is to do and see on the Cotentin peninsula - no dull day.

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt

Wir waren diesen Sommer dort und waren sehr angetan von diesem einzigartigen Anwesen. Nicht zuletzt durch die sehr nette Betreuung durch die Vermieter, die direkt nebenan wohnen, hatten wir eine tolle Zeit! Vielen Dank nochmal an Maryline und ihre Familie, die uns eine Führung durch ihren Milchbetrieb gegeben haben - Kälbchen streicheln inbegriffen und jeden Tag frische Milch! Das Haus bot Platz für uns 9 und ließ nichts zu wünschen übrig. Sehr idyllisch und ruhig gelegen. Gute Betten und schöne Zimmer alle mit eigenem Bad...auch ein großer Pluspunkt! Der Whirlpool war sehr entspannend, sauber und in einem kleinen Poolhaus untergebracht...trotzdem dieser extra zu buchen war, was aus dem Inserat nur sehr versteckt hervorgeht. Auch der See hinterm Garten (einer von uns hat darin mit Hingabe geangelt), Tischtennisplatte und Platz zum Fussballspielen waren da und haben uns die Zeit vertrieben wenn das Wetter eher mäßig war! Schöne Ziele in der Umgebung wenn auch nur mit mind. 30 Minuten Fahrzeit zu erreichen (ausser den Strand in Pirou ca. 10 min Fahrtzeit). Alles in Allem ein toller Urlaub!!!

Very nice place with fine travelling distances to major sights

This is a great place to stay, plenty of rooms and space, also outdoor. Very relaxing views from the garden to the little lake and the cows on the fields. Easy to visit St. Mont Michel, landing beaches, and other sights. The neighboring town, Periers has all necessary shopping opportunities. If you like it there is an option to have the usage of a large Spa, at added cost - see the options. The hosts are very friendly and very happy to help. A clear recommendation from us.

75th Anniversary Stay

We could not have been happier with our visit. It was such an important trip for us as 3 families, our husbands all 82nd Airborne paratroopers - 2 doing a historic cross channel jump into Sannerville on the 75th Anniversary of D-Day. We could not have asked for better hospitality and a lovely place to end our days of touring the memories of the area. The children loved running around and playing in the yard and on the equipment (slide and swings). Everyone enjoyed the cows, and the farm tour and fresh milk!!! We would highly recommend staying here. The hosts were fantastic and always available for questions and assistance if we needed anything. We will absolutely be back for a longer stay!!!

Propriétaires à votre écoute . Visite de la ferme passionnante . Du lait frais tous les jours . Au moindre problème très forte réactivité . Des chambres avec salle de bain individuelles. De l’espace . Du calme . Et bien sûr le jaccuzi apprécié par tous.que du positif.

Wonderful! Perfect!

A gem! A fabulous spot to explore the peninsula - Mont Sainte-Michel, the Landing beaches and U.S. military cemetery and museum, the Bayeaux tapestry, and so much more. Also just to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the country - this rental was perfect and Maryline was fabulously gracious and accommodating. The house is wonderful. Unfortunately we only had four full days there. We would definitely return (and hope to!!).

Better than we could have imagined!

Our daughter found this home on HomeAway and we booked it. As the time grew near, we wondered and worried, could it really be as nice as it seems? My wife and I arrived on Sunday evening and were met by the owners daughter (the owners were on vacation in Thailand), Marie who invited us in to their side of the house, where we met her twin brothers and her grand parents. We sat down and shared some cider. We finally went to 'our' home for the week and found a beautiful large home with 4 bedrooms each with it's own bathroom. The seven others in our party also arrived. After we had settled in and looked around, our daughter exclaimed "This is way better than I could have imagined!". And it was. It was quiet and peaceful. You felt you were away from everything! Each day some of us road bikes to nearby Milliers a small village. And we explored Normandy. This trip was special for me, since my Dad had visited by parachute on June 6th 1944. We visited Ste-Mere-Eglise where he landed as well as Omaha Beach, and Mont Saint Michel, each within easy reach. But each night we came home to this relaxing oasis. Even with cows grazing nearby, it was very peaceful and quiet. Hopefully, we weren't disturbing to our host family! And one evening, Marie brought us a huge bowl of rice pudding prepared by her grandmother, Therese. There seemed to be enough for 30 people, but the 6 adults and 3 kids had no problem eating it all! I can't promise this hospitality to everyone, but for us, it was wonderful! I can't say enough good things about this home and the owners. We hated to leave and hopefully, someday they'll let us return!

Charmant

Nous avons vraiment aimé et apprécié le gîte.La cuisine est bien équipée.Le gîte est bien entretenu et propre.Chaque chambre a une salle d'eau (quel luxe).Le jacuzzi est formidable.Le manoir est calme .Les propriétaires sont très gentils .Ils nous ont donné de bons conseils.À Périers,il y a un grand Carrefour et une excellente pizzeria.

Tout était parfait

Nous avons organiser l'anniversaire surprise de mon oncle dans ce gîte sur un we. Les propriétaires se sont vraiment mis en 4 pour nous satisfaire. Ils nous ont même prêté leur table de salle à manger et des chaises car nous étions nombreux à diner. Et Maryline nous a offert une teurgoule faite maison. Un délice! Ils ont su être présents pour satisfaire toutes nos demandes (surtout pour préparer le gîte) tout en nous laissant notre intimité. Le gîte est magnifique, la vue superbe, la propreté irréprochable. C'est encore plus beau que sur les photos. Nous avons même été à la pèche. Ne pas hésiter à réserver, vous ne pouvez être que conquis tant par le lieu que par les propriétaires. Un grand merci à vous

beautiful place!!

It is a beautiful french house with a lot of rooms, very friendly people. The owners are farmers, and there are cows and chickens to see at this beautiful location. There are many tourist sites to visit from this location as it has a central location near the Normandy coast....

Encore plus merveilleux que sur le net

Séjour de charme par excellence avec des hotes inoubliables. Nous attendons avec impatiente notre prochain séjour ............... Un endroit à ne pas manquer pour se reetrouver entre amis, famille et faire revivre tous les moments de bonheur de notre jeunesse. La ferme est aussi un endroit merveilleux que nous avons découvert sous un temps radieux aussi bien coté météo que de celui du coeur

Perfect location

During our Easter holidays 2012 we spend 10 days in the Normandy at this beautiful place. The house is located in a very quiet and peaceful countryside area of Millieres. It is a very good starting point for a lot of side-seeing activities in the Normandy, to the beaches it takes only 10-15 minutes and the next big supermarket is only 5 minutes away. The big garden is nice and suitable for children and the terrace with barbecue has enough space for big table and four sunbeds. separated by a wall there is a small pond behind the garden where fishing is possible. The house is well equipped and every room is arranged very nice and colorful and with for 4 adults and 4 grown-up kids we felt very comfortable. Also the Maryline, the owner living with her family in the other part of the manor, is very friendly and always helpful.

Great house, great people, great vacation!

Looking back at the Normandie vacation this summer in July it all seems so perfect and wonderful. In fact, we expected a nice big house - and the truth was that the manoir war WONDERFUL, it was very clean and had a lot of space for all of us (4 adults and 4 children from 3 to 10 years). From the first moment we were blown away by the beautiful garden, the beautiful rooms of the manoir and the quiet landscape. The landlords are very nice and friendly and showed us around! They provided us with plenty of up to date information about the region which offers a lot of recreational activities - impressive scenery, beautiful beaches, shopping possibilities and historic sites. All rooms in the house are very nice furnished and have wonderfull colors. The kitchen is big enough and we did not miss one thing - and if so, Maryline always helped (with Cidre, fresh milk, vinegar.....). Our children were very happy and had a lot of fun outside in the garden and around the house with all the animals there. All in all we can say that we had a perfect vacation due to the superb manoir and the great familiy Courteille. Thank you very much!
