The house and location were very good, however there were a few small things that were disappointing.
The main issue for me was that there was no handrail/banister on the 17-step flight of stairs down from the main entrance which was not advised beforehand, nor did any of the photos show the stairs. Had we been aware of this it may had an impact on our decision as I do have mobility issues but can cope with stairs better if there is a handrail. Similarly, we were not advised beforehand that the downstairs toilet was unavoidably out of commission, again a factor important to us.
Overall we were satisfied with the cleanliness but we felt a lack of attention to detail, i.e. corners grubby, blue bathroom wall tiles had footprints (?) and we constantly had to keep on top of tiny ants in the kitchen despite sweeping/spraying daily (perhaps to be expected due to the location).
The main bed was very comfortable, with crisp fresh bed linen, but was let down by unsatisfactory pillows, although we appreciate the firmness of pillows is a personal preference.
In summary, we enjoyed our stay, the location, the pool and the outside area was splendid and we felt totally relaxed there. We have been frequent visitors to the area so we’re aware of the advantages and disadvantages of being in the campo, however the main road and access to the property was fairly good.
We would recommend the property, hosts were excellent, but those with mobility issues may struggle.
