Chuckanut Bay Cottage ligger bara nÄgra steg frÄn stranden och en nÀra resa ned natursköna Chuckanut Drive till historiska Fairhaven i vackra Bellingham, Washington. Perfekt för ett par som behöver en romantisk tillflyktsort eller friluftsentusiasten som vill ha vatten för sin kajakpaddling eller SUPING ut genom ytterdörren eller miles av stigar för cykling och vandring ut genom dörren.

Denna strandstuga ligger pÄ en bluff 40ft ovanför det orörda vattnet i Salish Sea med underbar utsikt över Chuckanut Bay, Bellingham Bay och San Juan Islands. SolnedgÄngen Àr spektakulÀr hela Äret!

Den 600 kvadratmeter stugan Àr vÀlutrustad. PÄ bottenvÄningen finns ett stort rum med ett fullt utrustat kök pÄ ena sidan som tittar genom sittgruppen och ut mot ett fönster mot Chuckanut Bay. Det finns en stor bekvÀm soffa, platt skÀrm, Apple TV och wifi i hela stugan. Det kompletta badet har badkar och dusch. Stugan har naturligt fÀrdig Ätervunna originalgolv i hela. I hörnet av rummet finns en gasspis som gör detta till en mycket mysig stuga nÀr som helst pÄ Äret.

PĂ„ övervĂ„ningen hittar du ett stort rum som delvis har utsikt över bottenvĂ„ningen. Det finns en lyxig king size-sĂ€ng mot viken och öarna, underbar bĂ€ddsoffa och gott om hyllor och hĂ€ngande utrymme. BĂ„da vĂ„ningarna Ă€r privata. Även öppen till nedan.

FrÄn stugan Àr det en kort promenad nerför en trappa till stranden. PÄ strandnivÄ finns det en underbar privat sittgrupp dÀr du kan simma eller njuta av den lugna viken med kajak eller roddbÄt.

Det Àr en snabb cykeltur pÄ Chuckanut Drive dÀr man kan ta sig pÄ den mellanliggande leden och Äka bara 4 mil norrut till Fairhaven, en historisk badby med bra shopping, restauranger och nattliv. Fairhaven Àr ocksÄ porten till San Juan Islands, Victoria och Alaska med fÀrja och Àr vÀrd för Amtrack-jÀrnvÀgsstationen om man vill ha en snabb resa till Vancouver BC eller Seattle. FörestÀll dig allt detta utan att komma in i din bil! GÄ söderut och hitta den offentliga bÄtlanseringen, strÀnderna och tillgÄngen till fenomenalt berg. cykling och vandring i Larabee St. Pk., Bara nÄgra minuter frÄn stugan. LÀngre ner till Chuckanut Drive finns ostron, underbar jordbruksmark och Ànnu Àr Seattle, som Àr 90 minuter med bil. Nordost om Mt. Baker och foten av kaskaderna erbjuder snowboard och skidÄkning i vÀrldsklass samt oÀndliga miles av backcountry-utforska.

Our stay at John's cottage was perfect. It was quiet, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and we loved sitting down by the water to read our books and watch the sunsets. He was a lovely host and made sure we had everything we needed.

Immaculate, lovely guest house on an beautiful waterfront property. John was an exceptional host, going out of his way to offer tips and even set-up his outdoor crab boiler to cook our catch that we caught off the bay of his property. Excellent location for relaxing, exploring the area and more.

Comfortable and charming cottage on Chuckanut Bay. Comfy bed and quiet location. Did not find the train to be an issue but appreciated the heads up about it. Would stay here again!

We stayed a week. Wonderful cottage. Great hiking nearby. John was a great host. We spent most late afternoons down by the water. Lovely. Fun to kayak and stand up. We’d definitely come back.

Beachfront get-away

The location is lovely, beautiful view of the ocean and easy beach access. We especially enjoyed using the double kayak and paddling out to Chuckanut Island, it’s a really special spot. The train noise is loud at night, even with earplugs it’s noticeable but if you’re a deep sleeper it might be OK. The hot tub with a view of the ocean and all the hummingbirds was awesome. Overall, highly recommend this spot, but be prepared for some train noise.

Anniversary getaway

My husband and I were fortunate to find this beautiful gem for our special day. We totally relaxed away from the busy city and hectic rush of our lives. Time spent allowed us to plan for our future together. The view was more than expected and trains were far from of our minds in this quiet home. The bed was very comfy and the amenities were great. This place added so much to our trip to WA.

My Dream Come True

John, Sarah and family had no idea how much our stay in their cottage meant to us. I use to live in Bellingham many years ago and had always dreamed of coming back one day, and getting to stay somewhere along that magnificent Chuckanut Drive/Chuckanut Bay. As guests, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay than on Chuckanut Bay. The owners were kind, generous and very helpful with their recommendations for us to visit/eat. Their cottage was a 2 story with large windows on the main floor and upstairs where the bedroom was, both overseeing the bay. The morning after our first night's sleep I woke up and looked out the large window and saw that gorgeous view of the bay and had this overwhelming moment that this is what heaven must look like. Our “12 day stay” was the most relaxing, and perfect accommodations for a vacation get-a-way. We plan on going again next year. We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. The sunsets were stunning!

This place is a treasure. The bed was comfy with many pillow and blanket options. Great kitchen with anything you could need. The view was amazing and just an all-around great place to stay. Mere minutes from Fairhaven, which is a cute little part of Bellingham to explore. The hosts were warm and friendly.

Wonderful, chill alternative to downtown Bham/Fairhaven. Hosts are super friendly and helpful. We saw seals and otters from the property's window. As noted in the description, there is a train that goes by - I thought it was cool.

Where the hot is located is a dirty mess.no place to sit not clean at all.they can watch you in the hot tub from there down stairs windows..they drained the hot the day before we was to leave .1400 dollers for the hot tub they didn't want the bubbles on .he said he's pays water so lease don't use much.

I started working at a very young age and eventually owned and ran a large local residential construction company. I designed and built many local homes. Presently I am concentrating my efforts on our VRBO as well as clients that need my expertise. My wife has also worked her way up through the Medical Profession and currently works for a NW Native Tribe.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

After living in the Northwest for many years in several locations we have settled in one of the very best. Many locals know it as the 'Bahamas of Bellingham'. You can see what they mean by checking out the garden. The waterfront opportunities our property provides has been limitless, more than we could explore in our lifetime! One of our favorite things to do is just sit and watch what the change in tide brings; the magnificent sunsets, weather over the water, the birds and boats.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Whatcom county is a wonderful place to recreate but it is also is a great community. It has great environmental consciousness and diversity. WWU contributes a great deal to the community. It is a mountain bike destination with one of the greatest jewels of the region right out front, the San Juan Islands. Sunsets at our property are truly some of the best. A short paddle from the beach is Chuckanut Island, a Nature Conservancy island, with nesting seabirds and fine white shell beaches at low tide. Along the way to the Island you will likely spot an Eagle, Blue Heron, Otter or a Seal that share this wonderful bay with us. The island environment is protected so only day visitors are allowed.
In addition to Chuckanut Mt., nearby Galbraith mountain has great trails for mt. biking and hiking. Hang gliders land on the Bow valley just off Chuckanut drive. Fairhaven is a stone's throw from the property and offers many great options for eating out. Restaurants along Chuckanut Drive offer seafood and other gourmet meals for a special dining experience and offer great romance too. Those that wish to cook their own food, the kitchen is fully appointed and if anything extra is needed we may have it at our house. We love the Taylor Shellfish Farm which is a few minutes from the house and there is a Wednesday Farmer's market in Fairhaven for fresh produce and local arts and crafts. Haggen's grocery, a NWFRESH store, is in nearby Fairhaven as well and offers many organic choices.
