Denna 2 sovrum, 1 badrum stuga är perfekt för din familjes tillflyktsort. Ligger precis vid Portage Lake. Denna sjö är perfekt för skidåkning, jetskidåkning, simning, slangar, kanot / kajakpaddling. Trevlig sandbotten för någon sjöaktivitet. Också bra för fiske. Stort vardagsrum med vacker utsikt över sjön, tillsammans med en bra elektrisk eldstad. Mycket mysigt kök med alla bekvämligheter. Mycket stort däck för att njuta av utomhus när som helst på året. Steg till vattnet direkt från däck. Sovrummet har en queen size-säng med utsikt över sjön för att hälsa på dig på morgonen. Det andra sovrummet har ett våningssängssystem. Översta våningssäng är en singel; Bottenvåningen är en full size-säng. Vardagsrummet drar ut till en full size säng också. Full storlek badrum med badkar och dusch. Fullt kylskåp och gasugn tillsammans med en mikrovågsugn. Köket är fullt utrustat med matlagning, servering, redskap objekt som du kan behöva. BBQ grill på däck (vår / sommar / bara fall månader). Tvättmaskin och torktumlare finns på begäran. Natur / cykelväg steg bort från ytterdörren. Detta spår tar dig direkt in i Houghton eller till Chassell. Tillgång till snöskoterspårssystemet. Protokoll från MTU Campus; populära restauranger; downtown Houghton; Mt Ripley ligger bara 8 miles bort; Mt Böhmen är 45 minuter.

Beautiful relaxing and perfect location

The bike trail into Houghton from the house was a big selling point for us. Great to be able to wake up and ride 25 minutes down to a ton of good breakfast spots. Portage lake is nice. The daugher loved playing in the water. There is a small beach 10 minutes down the bike trail.

Wonderful location

We enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin. It was well stocked, the owner was responsive and personable, and the location is perfect. We especially enjoyed walking on the old rail trail and playing in the small shallow beach. We would definitely stay again!

Great stay!

My boyfriend and I, plus our puppy, stayed here with 0 issues! Place was great size for us and the deck right on the water was a bonus! Super close to Houghton too.

Beautiful location on Portgage

This was a great location for our stay. Beautiful view of Portage including ice skaters and people playing hockey-this winter is great for that! The cabin was very nice and had everything we needed for our stay.

This was our 2nd stay at the cabin. It’s clean and inviting. The kitchen is well-stocked for preparing meals. We plan to stay here for future trips to the area.

Wasnt able to stay

My husband and I werent actually able to keep our reservation due to my mother-in-law dying. Randy was easy to notify and his compassion was outstanding. We were incredibly disappointed but we are hoping to be able to go at another time.

Wonderful Location

Great stay on Portage Lake! The only suggestion would be for sign/other to locate driveway to cabin. Difficult to locate if arriving after dark.

Great Location right on the water

This is the perfect location to spend a week to relax. Very centrally located for day trips to Copper Harbor or the Porcupine Mountains and close to Houghton for evening dinners. Bring your bikes and ride the bike trail into Houghton for a 13-mile round trip along portage lake into the canal and right up to the bridge. You won't find too many places better than this one. Great host.

Location was perfect

My family came up to go snowmobiling with our MTU student. The cabin was close to campus and located on an in maintained snowmobile trail that led right into Houghton. The yard was cleared enough for us to easily turn our truck and four place trailer around. The cabin was a perfect base camp for our adventures.

Family Get-Away

The cabin was everything they claimed it to be. Sitting on the deck with the breeze coming off the lake felt wonderful, napping on the lounges, watching the kids kayak on the Canal, couldn't have been any better. Location was great, just minutes from Houghton or Chassell, plenty to do in the close area plus easy to get to Copper Harbor, Hancock, Lake of the Clouds, etc. Should have booked longer, weather was perfect! Thanks to Randy for sharing his piece of heaven!!!

Perfect vacation spot!

This cabin was perfect for a family of three plus two dogs! It is well located so we could get to Michigan Tech in a matter of minutes, while also embarking on adventures around the area like Mt. Bohemia, Copper Harbor, Estivant Pines, Mt. Arvon, L'Anse, etc. The cabin is right on Portage Lake which made it perfect for daily kayak trips and general playing in the water. Randy was wonderful to work with. He was responsive to our needs and addressed them fairly quickly. Thank you, Randy and family, for sharing your beautiful space with us!

Comfortable, Beautiful Cottage on the Water

We spent a great week at the cottage and found it to exceed our expectations. I don’t think the listing pictures do it justice. It was comfortable and stocked with everything we needed. Locating it was easy and just a quick trip away from Houghton. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Portage Lake is just outside your door and my son spent most days alternating between swimming and fishing. I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Purchased this property because of the beautiful views of Portage Lake. Moved from the area after graduating from MTU and decided this would be place to raise my family.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Lived in this cottage for years before building my permanent home on the same property. The views of the lake--whether its early morning sunrises or watching the every changing colors turn into night are breathtaking. Very serene and peaceful.
