väldigt tyst, avkopplande och elegant ligger i Gaggi, en lugn by, i ett mycket lugnt område i ett område fullt av grönska, där på morgonen hör du fåglar sånger!staden ligger i centrum av Alcantara-dalen 15 minuter från Taormina med sin fantastiska utsiktspunkt och den fantastiska Grekiska TEATER där under sommaren finns många konserter och det kristallklara havet i ISOLA BELLA och de vackra stränderna i Giardini Naxos e10 minuter från Alcantara Gorges. A, 45 minuter från Etna och Catania Fontanarossa flygplats och 45 minuter från Messina, en och en halv timme till Syracuse, 2 timmar till Piazza Armerina (romersk villa på bondgården med dess magnifika mosaiker), 25 minuter till Savoca och Forza d 'Agrò (där PADRINO filmades) FÖR MER INFORMATION FÖR DIN TURER VI ÄR PÅ DIN AVFALL. Villa Pagano with Pool near Taormina

We really enjoyed our holiday near Taormina in the spacious Villa Pagano with pool, outdoor kitchen and terrace with a view of Mount Etna. The beautiful garden, overgrown with colorful fruits and flowers, was a feast for the eyes. We spent almost all of our time outdoors. A special highlight was the observation of the Etna eruption 20 km away from the terrace, with the enjoyment of Giovanni's own Etna wine. The hospitality of Giovanni was outstanding. He took care of us with his own fruits and supported and organized us in planning our trip. We thank Giovanni for the great time.

Haus mit sehr schönem Garten und Pool

Wir haben sehr entspannte 2 Wochen in Villa Pagano verbracht. Das Haus liegt in einer ruhigen Straße - ein gut gesichertes, großzügiges und sehr gepflegtes Anwesen. Der Eigentümer hat einen grünen Daumen! Der Swimmingpool ist so groß, dass man richtig darin schwimmen kann. Man hat die Wahl, ob man sich am Pool in der Sonne oder auf der großen Terrasse im Schatten, beides mit Blick auf den Etna, aufhalten möchte.Es gibt 2 Küchen. Wir haben die Küche oben genutzt. Sie ist mit allem Notwendigen ausgestattet und in der "offenen" Küche am Pool gibt es zusätzlich noch einen Grill. Das Haus ist sehr gut gelegen, man ist schnell auf der Autobahn, in Taormina, am Etna oder in der Alcantarra-Schlucht. Fußläufig gibt es einen kleinen Conad und einen hervorragenden Fischladen. Der Eigentümer kümmert sich sehr, spricht sehr gut Englisch, ist jederzeit erreichbar und hat uns mit seinem eigenen Wein und eigenem Olivenöl und Früchten aus seinem Garten versorgt, besonders die Mangos waren hervorragend.

Large country house with tropical garden and stunning views

Giovanni is a wonderful host and is always at the end of the line if needed. The house is large with the most wonderful terrace with views of etna and down the valley. The garden is lush with fruit of every variety and so peaceful. Gaggi is a short drive from Taormina and large supermarkets but far enough away that it felt secluded. Saying that the village itself wasn’t really suitable for an evenings stroll, not much is open. The house is lovely and spacious and having an outside kitchen next to the pool was a real bonus but I think it could benefit from some updated cooking equipment. A small niggle which didn’t spoil our trip! There is plenty to do and see within a 45 min drive highlights for us being mount etna, gole alcantara and the winding old town and gardens of Taormina.

Schöne geräumige Villa mit Obstgarten

Das Haus bietet viel Platz. Der Pool war sehr angenehm warm und groß. Der Garten ist wirklich schön. Man muss wissen, dass die Bereiche beim Eingang, Garage und Pool videoüberwacht sind. Das kannten wir so nicht. Es gibt auch 2 Katzen mit denen wir viel Spaß hatten. Insgesamt hat es uns hier sehr gut gefallen und empfehlen die Villa gerne weiter.

Misleading

Giovanni's communication was very good & he kindly moved our booking due to Covid. Previous reviews warning "beware of hidden extras" were true: garage/off-road parking is an extra (fine on-road); charges for the extras Giovanni provides were not clear (we believed the limoncello was a gift but were charged on departure). Make sure at check-in that what is included, what is a welcome gift and what is chargeable is agreed. Defects we found with the property were quickly rectified - replacement of dirty, chipped crockery (I’d had washed the crockery & cupboards) & a new coffee maker. Being an open kitchen, food storage wasn’t ideal – some insect problems. Generally the kitchen just needed updating. The website is wrong (e.g. there isn't a hot tub/Jacuzzi) & it does not make the layout clear (no floorplan); advertised as a 6 person (price is actually only for 4 and must pay extra for the extra bedroom); 3rd bathroom is actually on the far side of the pool; the “extra bedroom” has an ensuite, without that there is only 1 bathroom available in the house. The central core of the house is closed & so your space is arranged around the outside giving an unusual layout. The outside kitchen (you are only allowed to use one) is remote from the living area (a 30/40m trek through the garden to get a drink in the evening or cup of tea in the morning - not pleasant during thunderstorms) and that the kitchen to the terrace is a convoluted route – 100m from the kitchen to the terrace is through the garden, up through the house & along the outside balcony. That said, the terrace has lovely views and the pool area is lovely, surrounded by flowering plants and fruit trees. Be aware of cctv camera surveilling the pool area, which made us very uncomfortable. We were warned that the police would be informed if we covered it since there had been an incident at the property opposite where a dog had been killed. We did cover it during the day anyway. It is a quiet neighbourhood; a 10 min walk to a small supermarket selling essentials, and handy for the airport, Etna, Alcantara Valley and Taormina. The local pizzeria delivers and is good value. Giovanni was excellent at booking restaurants for us. Overall, we would have no hesitation in returning to this beautiful area, but sadly not to Villa Pagano. It would take very little to clarify the listing and make a few improvements to bring it up to the standard expected by most travellers (eg extender for poor wifi).

Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich, hat sehr gut Englisch gesprochen, deshalb war die Verständigung einfach. Das Haus verfügt über einen sehr schönen und sorgfältig gepflegten Garten.

Early October Stay

Despite a few thunderstorms with heavy downpours we were still able to sit out by the pool at some point every day. The property was extremely clean and the owner could not do enough to help. Easy access to the road system and all attractions in the North East corner of the island. Car hire is essential but be prepared for narrow roads and close maneuvers. Overall would certainly highly recommend.

We will be back! What a beautiful Villa!

What a great Villa! A beautiful property in the mountain commune of Gaggi, 10 minutes from Giardini-Naxos and 15 minutes from Taormina. Property is well equipped with classic Italian furnishings. The villa is surrounded with beautiful flowers, trees and orchards. The owner could not have been more kind. We were greeted with basket of fruit and a bottle of wine. With spectacular views of Mount Etna from the front balcony of the villa and the spectacular gardens and pool in the back of the villa, this is a fantastic launching point or vacation hideaway for your Sicilian adventure. Villa Pagano is must! We will be back!

Siciliansk Oase

I et meget smukt og frodigt område, med udsigt til Etna ( som var i udbrud) ligger denne perle af et hus, i en overdådig smuk have med blomster, appelsin , citron træer, bananpalmer overalt. En meget gæstfri og hjælpsom ejer, som laver pizza i egen stenovn, hvis det ønskes. Stedet kan på alle måder anbefales.

Ein traumhafter Aufenthalt im Paradies

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen in der wunderschönen Villa und dem schönen Garten mit Pool. Überall stehen Orangen- und Zitronenbäume und natur pur. Giovanni ist ein sehr gastfreundlicher Vermieter und überhaupt nicht aufdringlich. Wir haben auch den Pizzaabend aus dem eigenen Steinofen von Giovanni gebucht und die Bruscetta und die Pizza waren ausgezeichnet. In Sizilien bekommt man viel Essen für einen angemessenen Preis. Die Menschen sind alle sehr freundlich. Zusätzlich hatten wir auch noch den sizilianischen Abend mit toller Atmosphäre am Pool und sehr viel Essen. Wir hatten eine tolle Urlaubswoche und werden definitiv nochmal wiederkommen. Es war mal eine ganz andere Erfahrung zum typischen Hotel- oder Apartmentaufenthalt. Preis Leistung ist top.

Nice property in a good location

We enjoyed our stay at Villa Pagano. The garden is beautiful and the house is very nice, including the outside kitchen, the terrace with views of the sunset and Mt Etna and the bonus of a pool. Having air conditioning in the bedrooms was great. Gaggi itself is not particularly interesting although the location is very convenient for Taormina and Mt Etna and a ton of pretty villages. Giovanni is an excellent host - we very much enjoyed the pizza dinner - and is full of helpful information. The house cost a little more than we expected when you include cleaning and parking fees compared to some alternatives we looked at and, as one might expect, the garden also attracts a lot of wasps at this time of year. But overall this is a very pleasant place to stay indeed.

Family Vacation

The object offers plenty of room for six. The Villa itself contains two sleeping rooms (parents and two Kids) plus an additional integrated Apartment for a couple. The integrated aparement is offered for an extra fee. Indoor and outdoor kitchens with plenty of space are available. The BBQ can be used by yourself, the pizza oven can only be operated by the owner. The landlord offers superb Service which includes fresh fruit for free. Parking, extra towels for beach and pool as well as Liquor and wine is offered with additional payment. Everything is worth it! The Conad Supermarket (5 minutes by car) offers everything that should be required, apart from charcoal. For Google Maps on your mobile you can use as location 37.858490, 15.228968. The owner is always avaible for your requests but never intrusive. If we will stay on Sicily again, it will be in Villa Pagano!

Beautiful villa in a beautiful country

We had a great two weeks at villa Pagano. The villa was perfect for our family of 6. We lived outside, around the pool, surrounding by a beautiful garden and eating and cooking in the fantastic outdoor kitchen, it really was an idillic paradise. The villa is about 25 minutes from Taormina and 45 minutes from Catania and is ideally situated for exploring the eastern coast of Sicily. A car is essential and be prepared for narrow roads! There is a lovely bar in the village which we frequented for morning coffee and pastries or evenings for a glass of prosecco or aperol!! The local supermarket is a 10 minute walk from the villa. People were friendly and very welcoming. Mr Pagano was very welcoming and very helpful with good advise and ideas.

Excellent séjour !

Beaucoup de gens rêvent d'aller un jour en Sicile. Ce rêve je l'ai donc réalisé cette année. La région est splendide et la maison que vous propose Mr Pagano est tout simplement fantastique. Située à 30 km de l'Etna, elle vous permettra de sillonner facilement la région. Cette villa est un havre de paix et une fois que vous aurez pris place dans le jardin ou dans la piscine, vous aurez du mal à en sortir! Vous serez entourés de plantes à fleurs odorantes et d'arbres fruitiers en tous genres que Mr Pagano entretient à merveille. L'accueil est très chaleureux et le propriétaire n'hésite pas à vous faire goûter quelques produits de son jardin comme les oranges, raisins et autres Basilic. Vous pouvez vous procurer de l'huile d'olive maison ainsi qu'un excellent petit vin à prix démocratique. 3 Chambres munies d'air conditionné vous permettront de dormir à l'aise en cas de fortes chaleur. Mr Pagano est un cuisinier hors pair, il nous a offert une pizza maison vraiment royale! N'hésitez pas à lui demander de cuisiner un soir pour vous, son expérience en tant que maître d'hôtel durant 40 ans en séduira plus d'un! Vous voulez passer un séjour fantastique? Fantastic Holiday Rental surpassed all of our expectations!!!

Villa Pagano is a wonderful home set in the countryside of Gaggi, Italy. Myself, husband, and 13yr. old daughter were excited to spend our holiday taking in everything that Sicily has to offer. This villa is charming and suited all of our needs and wants. The home itself offers 2-3 bedrooms, 2-3 baths, pool, an indoor and an outdoor kitchen, as well as the pool and outdoor shower. With private, gated entry you are safely tucked in to a wonderful piece of Sicilian paradise. The villa is surrounded by citrus, and olive groves. At any time, there are fresh lemons, oranges, mangos, peaches, grapes, kiwi, kumquat, and bananas. The owners, Giovannini and Angela are simply two of the greatest people ever. They are available for directions, restaurant suggestions, sightseeing, or just learning about the land and the culture. They do not live on the property while renting. However, they are local and we had lunch with them and thoroughly enjoyed their company. The hospitality and the kindness they showed us was worth its weight in gold. Their pizza night was delish. Prepare to be treated to a 5 star at home dining experience. Homemade vino, olive oil and limoncello. The terraces allow for breathtaking views of the countryside and Mt. Etna. My husband and I would spend hours on the terrace watching the stars, and enjoying the peaceful landscape. The local church bells play at 8 am and 8 pm daily. It was picture perfect and just the relaxation we needed from our busy lives. If you are looking for a place in the city, this is not for you. If you are looking for rest and relaxation, yet close to the beach(10 min by car) and Taormina (15-20 minute by car), this is definitely the spot. We will definitely be returning in the future. Villa Pagano is our new home away from home in Sicily. The Alcantara gorges are only 7km from the house, and Mt. Etna is about 45 min by car. Oh, and the outdoor kitchen is absolutely FABULOUS. We had dinner in a few times to enjoy the wood fire oven. Simply paradise in every way! You will not be upset with this rental! The Worrells. June 25-July 2, 2016
