Lovely Exterior, Insufficient Accommodations
My mom and I stayed 4 nights at the property. We are from Texas, and I could possibly chalk up some of these issues to cultural customs but nevertheless if you are expecting hotel-style accommodations you will be left wanting:- We were told upon check-in that we must supply our own shampoo, conditioner, bar soap/body wash, hand soap & dish soap ourselves. Never experienced that at any other short-term rental property nor would I want to again, and we had to seek out a grocery store the next day in order to buy those essentials. - Only one roll of toilet paper was supplied, and it was not a full roll. When we were about to run out and notified of the urgent need for more toilet paper, it was not timely acknowledged or remedied.- At checkout, Frederique's wife who does not speak good English told us we would need to take our garbage with us and dump it elsewhere, which Frederique omitted from the check out instructions. We panicked because we did not know the customs in France regarding dumping and she was not explaining it well to us so we thought we might get in trouble for dumping in someone else's trash bin/a dumpster. She then relented and said they would take care of it. - Wifi is abysmal, rendering Internet nearly inaccessible. I am hopeful the owners will remedy these issues for future renters. Property is lovely, but they are currently failing to meet a bare minimum standard you would expect of even Motel 6-level accommodations.
