Favola Umbra är en enorm egendom där det finns två huvudsakliga villor och en liten villa, antika ursprungliga 1700-talshus som nyligen har restaurerats med passion och uppmärksamhet på att bevara de ursprungliga originaldetaljerna och utrustade med alla de modernaste tekniska fördelarna, och lämnade intakt vittnesmålen om de gamla stengårdarna på den umbriska landsbygden. Fastigheten hyrs i sin helhet och består av följande:
Villa "Voce degli Angeli" rymmer 12 personer och är uppdelad i två lägenheter, "Voce degli Angeli First" och "Voce degli Angeli Ground".
Villan "La Favola" rymmer 17 personer och består av fyra lägenheter (de två på första våningen: "Conviviale" och "Piccolo Sogno", och de två på trädgårdsgolvet: "Dolce Vita" och "Colombe").
Villan "La Capannina" rymmer 4 personer.
I trädgårdarna som omger villorna är helt inhägnad, exklusiva utrymmen inrättade med smidesjärnbord. Du kan fördjupa dig i ett enormt område i full natur med 60 hektar privatägt mark. De stora trädgårdarna, parken och promenader i våra privata skogar gör att du kan njuta av en semester i full frihet från stadens stress.
De stora trädgårdarna runt villorna, det utrustade BBQ-området, gymmet, cyklarna som är tillgängliga gratis med vandringsleder på fastigheten, den ljusa kullen som är värd för botaniska spår för att upptäcka olika typiska träslag och mer , även inom fastigheten, 2 sjöar för sportfiske uteslutande reserverade för kunder av Favola Umbra.

Paradise

This property was amazing and fit our needs perfectly. We had 22 people and each group had their own area but we gathered daily in the main dining area. We grilled out, had a chef come and fix us dinner and several days of pit luck. Daily trips to the surrounding hilltop towns of Todi, Orvieto, Spello, Sienna, and Florence one day. You definitely need a car but that gave all of us options. We rented in Perugia and others chose to rent cars in Rome and Sorrento. The property is well maintained and we felt like we were in a very special place. Beautiful sunsets and many outdoor seating areas. You have to put Favola Umbria on your list! It gave us all the quiet and peace we wanted after being in the bigger Italian cities.

Magical Villa

This property was so perfect. Magical. Absolutely magical. Loved all the separate apartments. We were able to split our group of 24 into perfect smaller groups. We used the dining table downstairs to have potluck dinners. Held my husbands 40th bday dinner out on the stone table outside. So magical. Loved every minute of our stay. The pool. The charm. Wow.

Perfect for multiple families

This property was perfect for our group of several families; the accommodation is spacious and flexible, giving both privacy and plenty of space for socialising. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept. We spent most of our time either in the pool, which the teens loved, or sitting around one of the big tables, and some visited Assisi, as well as some of the local villages and Lake Trasimeno. We were very well looked after by the host and her assistants; everyone was kind and helpful and gave us good recommendations for restaurants and a caterer.

A Hawaiian 'Ohana Visits Umbria

We had a large group of friends and family spend an idyllic week in Umbria after a Mediterranean cruise. We had 6 different families with a total of 25 people. Favola Umbra was large enough to accommodate everyone with room to spare. The location was great for exploring Umbria and Tuscany with Perugia close enough to visit the Jazz Festival in the evenings. The young adults in the group loved having the pool and the living area of the main Villa hosted our group dinners, a local catering company was used, our annual cribbage tournament, evening puzzles and karaoke. Cigars, chess and whiskey were enjoyed on the patio at night. The owner Laila was easy to work with and very responsive to our requests. We would recommend Favola Umbra to anyone looking to spend time in Umbria.

50th Wedding Anniversary, spent with family

We had been waiting 2 years for this celebration, deferred due to Covid. Favola Umbra was absolutely wonderful, could not have been better. . The villa is amazing inside and out. The two staff Oriana and Ashley were really lovely and very helpful. Our family were in the gorgeous pool every day and we ate mostly outside. Laila recommended a chef Marc’o and his wife Sara who cooked superb dinners for us (not always easy with young children and some dietary issues to deal with).

Wir waren mit 27 Personen im August in Favola Umbra um dort meinen 50. Geburtstag dort zu feiern . Es war unvorstellbar schön ... Favola ist ein Paradies aus dem wir gar nicht mehr weg wollten . Oriana ist ein kleiner Engel der uns bei allen jeden Wunsch erfüllt hat .... vom Buffet bestellen und bringen , einer unserer Gäste hatte eine Schnittwunde , den fuhr sie abends ins Krankenhaus .... alle Gäste waren sich einig - der schönste Urlaub den wir je hatten .

Ferien unter Freunden

Wir waren 29 Personen (17 Erwachsene und 12 Kinder) und haben im Juli eine Woche in der Favola Umbra verbracht. Wir waren alle sehr zufrieden mit unserem Aufenthalt und würden sofort wiederkommen. Die Favola Umbra und der Park sind wunderschön und der Pool wurde jeden Morgen geputzt und war einfach herrlich! Laila hat sich schon im Vornherein sehr um unsere Fragen bemüht und immer schnell geantwortet und Oriana hat während unseres Aufenthaltes alles unternommen, damit wir uns wohlfühlen konnten. Es war eine perfekte Ferienwoche! Wir haben für die ersten zwei Abende das Essen beim Restaurant "Dal Volpino" bestellt und waren sehr zufrieden. Leider hatte das "Dal Volpino" danach Ferien und wir konnten nicht mehr dort bestellen.

This property if every bit as beautiful as it looks in the pictures! My family of 29 people stayed for a week and loved every second! Laila was extremely helpful and patient in answering countless emails to prepare for our trip for well over a year! They were able to have the kitchen stocked with food when we arrived and arranged for an amazing chef to come cook for our family one night. Oriana was on site to help answer questions we had throughout the week. My family enjoyed the pool daily and loved using the outdoor brick oven to make pizzas. My 2 year old son also enjoyed the playground and the older kids took out the bikes. Our last night we hiked up the hill to watch a beautiful sunset to end the week. Thank you so much for allowing us to visit your beautiful villa! It will be a week we always remember.

What a wonderful place!

A large group - 29 of us - stayed at Favola Umbra for one week in August. What a beautiful place! The kids had fun exploring the grounds, using the lovely pool, the bikes, playground, walking trail etc. There were several shady spots dotted around the grounds to seat us all for lunch and dinner. Inside the houses are beautifully decorated, spacious and cool. Laila, Daniella and Marco were so helpful in telling us about the local area and places to eat and visit. We experienced some fantastic local festivals that we otherwise wouldn’t have known about. Thank you so much Laila, Daniella and Marco for your fantastic hospitality and making our holiday so special. We hope to return as one week really wasn’t long enough!

Amazing venue for a group holiday

Favola Umbra was an amazing venue for our group of 7 families - plenty of space, both inside the houses and around the grounds, lovely play area, huge swimming pool, table tennis table, bikes. Laila and Marco were on hand at any moment to help with anything at all that we needed - whether just advice on restaurants, or when we locked oursleves out! They keep the pool and grounds immaculate. We all absolutely loved our stay! Thank you once again :)

Fabulous Favola Umbra

Our family enjoyed two weeks at Favola Umbra. We rented the entire estate, as there were 24 of us. There was plenty of space for all. The cousins (ages 16+) had their own house, which they were thankful for, lol as did the adults. Our niece and her husband, who had eloped the week prior, stayed in the cottage so they could have their own space. Each apartment was spacious and well-accommodated. The kids' house had enough seating for all to dine inside on the few occasions we didn't eat outside. As for the outside, there are not enough words to describe how amazing Favola Umbra is! The pictures are great but seeing the estate in person is breathtaking. There are stunning views from every angle! We swam, biked, hiked, and ran the trails. The view from the top of the mountain is gorgeous! The location is pretty central to surrounding cities but you will need a car to get around. It's about a 30 minute drive to Perugia. Rome and Florence are a little over 2 hours away. Venice and Cinque Terre are about a 4-hour drive. If you prefer, you can catch a train in Perugia. Overall, I can't recommend Favola Umbra enough! Laila, Mario, and Daniela were excellent and attentive hosts and Marco, the groundskeeper, was there whenever we needed him, helping us order food, get a taxi, showing us which trails to take, or where the blackberry tree was located. Laila was extremely helpful even before we arrived in having something shipped ahead of time, setting up a chef for a reception we threw for our niece and her husband, as well as answering numerous questions. All four were there to greet us upon our arrival. Which by the way, if you charter a large bus, the gate is too narrow for it to pass and you will have to haul your luggage up a long, steep gravel road, so pack lightly or make other arrangements, lol! Thank you Laila, Mario, Daniela, and Marco for your part in creating a spectacular vacation for our family. It is definitely one we will not forget!

Elegant Luxury

Our stay at Favola Umbra was wonderful! Laila and her family did a fabulous job hosting my family and friends who come all the way to Italy to see my husband and I celebrate our love. Marco, their on-site assistant, spoke great English and was incredibly helpful with whatever we needed; restaurants, butcher, grocery, taxi, setting up for our event. The accommodation was perfect luxury, and the location was an elegant space to spend a holiday. We totally recommend anyone and everyone to stay here!

The property was great. There were 27 of us and six families. Very suitable for that group.

Beautiful property. Private. A groundskeeper is present takes care of every issue that comes up. Laila is a wonderful host, quick to answer any questions and a pleasure to deal with. Ideal for a getaway, with a larger group of people.

Dream wedding

We had the perfect stay at Favola Umbra with our friends and family for our wedding in September. From the first moment we met laila and Mario they made us feel part of the family and we fell in love with this idyllic house. Words cannot describe how wonderful this place is and how lucky we feel to have found it for our wedding. The grounds are stunning, the apartments are all beautiful and well equipped with kitchens,our guests loved the swimming pool and the free bikes to cycle around. There are great restaurants and sights nearby, we went wine tasting, on a boat trip, playing golf and visiting nearby towns.Throughout the year while we were organising the wedding laila and Mario were always helpful, they found us amazing wedding planners C&G, were always responsive answering questions and always so thoughtful. Sara,the lady on site during our stay for the week was also a fantastic help. Can't wait to go back one day. Huge Thank you for making it the best week of our life. Susie & RIch

Fantastic Place

My wife and I had decided to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary at this location in August 2017. We had invited 32 people from Denmaark between the age of 20 and 75 and it was simply amazing. The location is only 15 min drive from Perugia and there are good opportunities for shopping in supermarket just 5 min by car. The place is away from road and noise so there is the optimum opportunity for relaxation. The apartments are very nice, fully equipped held in a top condition and park is clean and maintained. We were serviced all week by Sarah and Laila who took care of every little thing from helping to order pizza to arrange wine tasting, etc. They gave us the feeling of being an important guest for them – we can not thank you enough It was very hot 40 grams but the place allows you to find shade many places around the apartments and the pool is simply amazing with chairs, tables and covered pergola. We used the outdoor barberque most of the time and the large stonetable in the garden with the view of the valley and lake - amazing. Statements and quality can be perceived individually depending on how much you travel, but my wife and I travel aprox 5-6 times a year and we have traveled in many countries all over the world and this event belongs to TOP 5 what we have experienced, we can only give this place 5 stars and our best recommendations - We will definitely be back See you again Laila and Sara Love from Dorthe & Henrik Denmark

Fabulous Family Reunion in beautiful landscape.

Our group of 18 family members with ages ranging from 1 – 74, and arriving from 4 overseas countries, met at Favola Umbra for a 2 week family reunion and we had a fantastic time. Favola Umbra was a pleasant surprise and much more than we expected. We booked 3 villas and a cottage. Each family had their own self-contained accommodation. The villas dated back to 1789, and all credit to Laila and Mario (owners) for retaining the Italian architecture and carefully restoring the rustic interiors of the villas. The accommodation was fully equipped with modern cooking facilities, washing machine, dishwasher and all the necessities to make it a home away from home when dealing with family living. An extra bonus was the commercial size supermarket 10 minutes away, which sold everything from breads baked daily, groceries and a selection of wines. There are several beautiful gardens and there was something for everyone. Our days were activity packed with swimming , bike riding, walks and runs on the woodland trails, playground and exercise equipment on the lower grounds, and sightseeing in nearby Perugia, Assisi, Todi, Lake Trasimeno and surrounding villages in the cool of the evening. Fantastic Location for Family Reunion

We are a family of 5 with three small boys (8,6,3) who have just spent an amazing 10 days at Favola Umbria. We travelled together with 6 other adults and 7 other children all aged under 10. Our hosts Laila, Mario and Sara made sure we had everything we needed, and they were always available in person to answer questions we had about the local area etc. They really went out of their way to ensure we had some special memories of our Umbrian adventure. The villa is set in a beautiful area with amazing facilities and full privacy. The grounds are very secure and well kept and all our children had a fantastic time enjoying the pool, playground and other facilities. There are also some great trails right next to the villas for any keen walkers/runners. I'd recommend the villa to any family wanting to prioritise quality time together and wishing to have a central Umbrian location for day trips.

Favola Umbra was breathtaking. The views!!! Wonderfully maintained, comfortable and spacious!

Favola Umbra was truly a home away from home. The driveway leads you up to this beautiful grand villa of stone and landscapes you could paint! Sara, the caretaker on the property, was there to welcome and help us settle in and then every morning and into the evenings, there to set up the pool, tend the gardens and pick lettuces for lunch or order food for when we returned from a long day touring Umbria. She and Daniela (Laila's mom) were so helpful with information on local events happening, mass times at the area churches and the many towns to visit for the day in Umbria. The location is very central to all, Perugia, Assis, Siena, Todi, Orvieto, Pienza, Spoleto etc!! Beds were comfortable and the AC was a plus!! My family and my sisters family, 11 people, had plenty of space. More lounge seating inside would have been nice but honestly we were usually relaxing outside. The kids would have liked some board games or outside games like baci ball or house shoes. They have a great outdoor pizza oven but we didn't know how to use it. I think on our next visit maybe we would see if they could have someone come in and make homemade pizza with us!! :) We were sorry to miss Laila, the owner, who was in holiday the same week. But she did come to see us the last day. Laila was most helpful during my time searching for a place to stay. She even called me at home and emailed a few times to checkin during our stay. We hope to be back to Favola soon!! Ciao, Ciao!! Oh and there olive oil from there orchard is delicious!! They sent us home with some too!!
