The Casa D'Ăgua is a great hideaway nestled in a natural setting, right on the river... Close to Porto, the Douro region is a natural sanctuary and offers one of the most beautiful landscapes in Portugal.
It is located in Vendas das Caldas, Ancede in the BaiĂŁo region, close to the Aregos train station; the train line shares a slope with the house making it all the more bucolic...
If you want to catch the train to Porto, you need only go down to Aregos station. The owner of Casa D'Ăgua will pick you up by boat and you will arrive along the Douro River, you cannot get more of a countryside feel than that.
Casa D'Ăgua is perfect for a holiday retreat or a weekend getaway, sleeps six (two more can be added), and is designed to compliment holidays with family or friends.
It has everything you could possibly wish for in a house, just arrive with your personal belongings and prepare to enjoy...
There is a wide variety of activities if you want to make the most of your day, for example, canoe or boat trips, fishing, and trips to the Caldas de Arego hot springs (facing the house, on the other side of the river).
You can also take a lovely train ride to Régua and visit the Douro Museum, reach the Douro wine region on a sailboat (Douro by sail) and in the same Baião region see the Eça de Queirós Foundation.
