Denna nyrenoverade, fullt utrustade lÀgenhet med 3 sÀngar och 2 badrum pÄ 1: a vÄningen (2: a vÄningen i USA) i en historisk neo-gotisk byggnad precis runt hörnet frÄn Karlsbron Àr för upp till 8 gÀster, och pÄ samma sÀtt tiden vÀnder sig till en mindre, mer krÀvande grupp eller familj som vill ha Old World-stil men i en modern, fungerande lÀgenhet. Det finns tre anslutande rum: sovrummet med king size-sÀng (180 cm bred), vardagsrummet / vardagsrummet med öppen spis (bio-etynol betyder verkliga lÄgor men ingen rök), kabel-TV och en stor utdragbar soffa och sedan det stora sovrummet med tvÄ king size-sÀngar. Dessa rum har alla sina egna in- och utgÄngsdörrar, sÄ integritet Àr inte ett problem. Det stora master badrummet har badkar / dusch, toalett, hans och hennes fÄfÀnga sÀnkor, och en tvÀttmaskin och torktumlare dolda bakom en dekorativ sidopanel. Det andra mindre badet, om det ocksÄ Àr fullt utrustat, med en liten handfat, dusch och toalett, och bÄda har uppvÀrmda golv. Kompletterande WiFi fungerar i hela lÀgenheten. Det fullt utrustade köket Àr perfekt för att laga stora mÄltider, eller till och med bara för en kaffe och liten frukost pÄ morgonen. StrykjÀrn och strykbrÀda, alla handdukar och tvÀttdukar och extra sÀngklÀder tillhandahÄlls naturligtvis. Rökning Àr inte tillÄtet i lÀgenheten, men vi har en liten balkong som Àr perfekt för det.
Vi tror att du kommer att uppskatta detaljnivÄn som Mark & Mirka lÀgger i lÀgenheten, frÄn valet av sÀngklÀder för sÀngar och urval av möbler (vi har tvÄ jugendstolar i köket) till omfattande restaurering av takdekor och de matchande ljuskronorna. Vi har verkligen fokuserat pÄ att försöka bevara och förbÀttra sÄ mÄnga element frÄn den ursprungliga konstruktionen som möjligt.

Great stay in Prague!

We loved this well-stocked and beautifully decorated apartment in Prague. I could not think of anything that it's missing. 2 bedrooms (1 with two double beds!) and 2 bathrooms were great incluing a true primary bedroom. We would happily return to stay here again.

In the center of it all!

Wonderful stay for a tourist family of older teens. The property was comfortable, cute, immaculate and well provisioned. Communication with Mark and Galina was quick, efficient and thorough. They provided information and access to airport transportation and some delicious starter snacks. Great, very safe location walkable to key tourist destinations and a variety of cafes and markets. A bit noisy with partiers at night, but that didn’t bother us much. I’d definitely stay here again. Book now!

Fabulous stay in Old town Prague

Could not have asked for a better location. A roomie and well appointed 2-suite flat, well stocked (starter beer, wine, fresh bread, milk, ham, cheese
) and very comfortable. Within Walking distance from most everything. Mark was very responsive to questions and reached out to make sure we were doing well. The second bathroom is small, but there is a large mirror and table to be used as a vanity that provides what you need.

Prague Old World Charm

We loved our stay in this beautifully decorated Prague apartment. It was conveniently located and was an easy walk to many attractions. The tram was nearby which was easy to use to get around the city. Our host was very helpful setting up our transportation to and from the hotel. Beautiful Apartment in Great Location

This apartment is lovely, spacious, comfortable and well-maintained. It is very easy to walk or take a short tram ride anywhere you’ll want to visit in Prague. And Mark was so welcoming! He let us drop luggage early and leave it late. He checked in on us via messaging to see if we needed anything. And he had food and drink stocked to get us started on our stay. It was a perfect apartment for us and I recommend it to anyone!

Great location!

We had a wonderful stay in The Karoline! Communication with the owner was excellent, and the check in process was seamless. The owner coordinated transport to & from the airport at a very reasonable price. And, we were welcomed with a fridge that had a few beers, wine, juice and some snacks! The location was perfect! Easy walk to the Charles Bridge area and also a super easy walk to Old Town area. We walked to Marina Ristorante one evening and had a wonderful dinner. We also enjoyed dinners at Gruzie & KCRMA, and we loved Las Adelitas for Mexican food. We rented a private boat one afternoon on the Vltava River and did a private walking tour the I booked through withlocals.com - it was a wonderful 5 days in Prague, and the Karoline was the perfect home base!

Excellent across the board

The location was very close (walkable) to many of the city sights. The tram was also very close by. There were many restaurants, shops, coffee shops and a few food stores near by. The unit itself was perfect for a family of 4 with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. There was also a nice assortment of goodies in the fridge to get us started, which was greatly appreciated. Communication with owner was excellent. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Stay in Prague

The apartment is spacious and beautiful. I felt like I had stepped back in time when buildings were built by artisans. The ceilings were spectacular. Thank you so much for the homemade apple strudel, it was enjoyed by all of us at breakfast. The owners left us some drinks, local breads and such to start our visit on the right foot. The apartment is kept warm and toasty on these cold winter days; just what you need when you visit the sites all day. Love the fireplace! Thank you!! I will stay here again when we come to Prague.

AMAZING

Mark's flat was the most beautiful place I've ever stayed in my entire life. Our group of four was beyond thrilled with it, and it was even more beautiful than in pictures. It was an easy walk to so many popular spots in Prague, and the other areas were easily accessible by the very close tram stop. Four adults stayed in the apartment and we had more than enough room, and could have easily fit more people. It was clean, beautiful, and had everything we needed for our stay. Mark and Klara were excellent hosts and provided wonderful information before and after our arrival. I cannot recommend staying here enough! Thank you for making our trip to Prague so fantastic, Mark!

Amazing property in perfect location

Honestly I almost want to leave a bad review just so I can be sure to get this apartment again sometime. It’s a beautiful Art Nouveau-style apartment. The owners have clearly put a lot of work into making it modern and comfortable while maintaining the beautiful period features. The beds were a little hard, but we quickly got used to it. Mark was incredibly responsive and very helpful, especially when we missed our first flight and arrived 5 hours later than expected. Great location with two good restaurants right next door. We will absolutely hope to stay here again the next time we are in Prague!

Mark Grein is originally from the U.S., but on a chance trip to Europe back in the nineties, he was enchanted by the magical allure of Prague and decided to set up shop here, right in the middle of central Europe not long after the Velvet Revolution. He and his wife Mirka are filmmakers, but decided to try their hand at renovation when they bought this beauty in the heart of the Old Town last year. They did much of the renovation work themselves, especially in restoring the original ceiling stucco decoration, spending many hours up on a ladder covered in wet plaster and paint, and with Mirka handmaking much of the decor, like the floral patterns on the fireplace mantle and cabinets.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

We knew we had something special when we first set eyes on this diamond-in-the-rough. All of the doors in this residential building have wooden entrance doors or portals that are decorative pieces unto themselves. One inside the flat, we saw that the elaborate but faded ceiling decorations were just screaming to be restored, and the original owner had left many of the original details in this old place, such as doors, door handles, parquet floors, windows(including original glass in some of the windows-- look closely and you'll see the tell-tale 'waviness' in some of the panes). The layout was perfect--- three connected rooms, but all with their own entrances/exits, a large and separate kitchen, along with a small balcony. Located on the 1st floor of a neo-gothic buliding just around the corner from the famous Charles Bridge in the heart of the Old Town, but on a side pedestrian street, it just felt like the right place. We think you'll agree :)

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

As with all properties, 'genus loci' is the most important thing, and this flat has got it in large amounts. It is the perfect place to begin and end a walking tour of the beautiful city, and the quaint street has many great cafes, fantastic wine bars and restaurants, and even though it's close to the famous bridge, it's managed to hang to a lot of its local character.
