Boutique lägenhet med utsikt över den vänliga karibiska byn Mero

UPPDATERING 18 augusti 2018. Vi har just återvänt från en tre veckors vistelse på fastigheten och är glada att säga att el har nu återställts och poolen är fullt fungerande, även om vi fortfarande väntar på internetuppkoppling.

En vacker boutique studio lägenhet möblerad med magnifika antika franska sovrumsmöbler, viktoriansk soffa och schäslong, en fantastisk venetiansk spegel och mycket mer. Också närvarande är en sällsynt antik fransk hopfällbar säng som finns i ett ekskåp - perfekt för mindre gäster eller äventyrliga barn!

Det har ett välutrustat kök och modernt kaklat badrum med dusch, handfat och toalett. Privat ingång och balkong med karibisk havsutsikt ..

En tio minuters promenad (eller 5 minuters promenad!) till Mero beach, allmänt anses vara bäst på ön. Väl beläget på västkusten av den underbara natur ön Dominica.

Hillside House & Apartments slutfördes i december 2016 och ger en unik boende i Dominica. Det är en tre våningshus med de två lägenheterna på bottenvåningen och huvudbyggnaden med pool ovanför.

Det finns ett pooldäck på mittplan med sittgrupp och WIFI.
Detta är för användning av alla boende.

En tvättmaskin finns också tillgänglig.

Båda lägenheterna är listade och tillgängliga för uthyrning. Rum för ytterligare gäster om det behövs.

Alla rum har insektsskärmar för att förhindra myggor och vi ger även myggnät över sängarna för extra skydd. På grund av kullarna kan vi dra nytta av en fin vind, så luftkonditionering är inte nödvändigt men fläktar tillhandahålls.

A little gem!

Very comfortable! No microwave but the oven and cooktop worked great. Suggest adding another table in the bathroom for additional counter space, but other than that, it was great! A surprise treat was the small creek off the balcony. Great sound!

Hillview guest House

Everything was exactly as advertised. Room was clean and beautiful. All amenities were there and Dylan was very helpful. We stayed in the ground floor unit but still had a view of the ocean and could access the upper floors with the pool and top floor balcony for a better view. First time staying outside of a resort and loved the flexibility it provided. I highly recommend it.

Quiet, secluded stay

The apartment is bare-boned. The listing is accurate, but the property is missing some usual amenities. There is no microwave and no tv. The kitchen could use more counter space. There no hot water in the kitchen sink. The balcony is nice for first cup of morning coffee. When the sun comes over the mountain it’s too hot to sit there. The pool is refreshing after a day at the beach. Having a washing machine is convenient. There is no a/c, but, as others have mentioned, it’s cool enough in the evenings with just a fan.

Mero Hillside House

The Hillside home is an awesome place. Very comfortable, clean and equipped. My neighbors (Daisy and the kids) were lovely, inviting and helpful people. I never felt hot as the angle on which the home is built keeps direct Dominica sun from pounding in. Every evening gorgeous sunsets weee a delight! Mero is a quiet spot, especially as things recover from Covid but it is centrally located and allows access to the entire island at any time. Initial arrival to the home is tricky as it’s up a washed out road and signage is poor. Be sure you’re ready with an an active phone line or at least Google maps offline. I was not but neighbors were friendly and helpful. The person waiting for me (Dylan) hung in there with my late arrival. I am in his debt! My stay was three weeks and it was a totally wonderful experience. Highly recommended!

Dominica at its finest

Where do i begin, i love everything about this house. I prefer to stay away from the hustle and bustle and this location was perfect.. Definitely away from it all but still close enough to restaurants, gas station and mero beach. About 25 minutes into town and the drive is fairly simple. The owners of this luxurious home , clare and adam and their two children are the most amazing people ever. If you get the privelage to meet them that's a bonus by itself. The french decor had such a luxurious feel. The room/ living area was alot larger than i expected which was great. The lounge pool area was incredible. Pool was so clean and inviting, perfect temperature. I spent much time out there. The view and landscaping around pool was so exotic and lush. I had everything i needed from fresh linens, towels and kitchen appliances. I was able to cook meals with no problem and everything i needed was in stock. Its perfect for two or traveling solo. I would highly recommend this area in this big beautiful house to anyone. Its very private, downstairs and quiet. Doesnt even really feel like it's connected to the house. It exceeded my expectations and will most definitely book here again. It doesnt get much better than this its a perfect choice. Its complete dominica nature at your fingertips. Incredible value and an incredible stay.

very nice, clean and quiet apartment!

This is a very nice apartment in the village of Mero. The beach / village / small restaurants can easily be reached by foot. Perfect for 2 persons, well equipped kitchen, very clean, apparently everything very recently built and in perfect condition. Nice pool with chillout area. Helpful neighbour to give an orientation of the village, the surroundings and help with any issues that might occur. We had a wonderful time!

We are the Partridge family. Adam, Clare and our two boys Ridley and Felix. We visited Dominica first in 1998 whilst working on the cruise ships and fell in love with the island and its people. We vowed to build a house there one day and have finally achieved our dream. We now look forward to sharing this beautiful island with you.
Back in England, Adam has his own auction business and Clare is a Zumba instructor.

We have a family antiques auction business in the UK Clare is also a Zumba instructor. The whole family is cricket mad and Adam is a qualified youth cricket coach.

The antique furnishings sourced from around the world to create an individual atmosphere. The proximity to Dominica's best beach at Mero and accessibility to explore the rest of this breathtaking and exciting island.

You only have to look at other rentals available to see that Hillside House & Apartments are high calibre!

Wherever you choose to go in Dominica, you will often feel as though you are the first to discover it due to the absence of mass tourism. Some places may be difficult to get to, but the path to paradise is never easy! Unleash your adventurous side and you will be greatly rewarded.

All areas of the island are accessible from the apartment and tours can be arranged with knowledgeable local guides to anywhere you may choose to discover.
