Detta hus ligger på en lugn vik på Kinderhook sjön. Det har nyligen renoverats under de senaste två åren. Och har en bra gammal tid läger känsla. Det finns två fulla sovrum på bottenvåningen, inklusive ett loft med två enkelsängar. Nedre våningen finns också två sovrum; ett med två enkelsängar och den andra med två trippel våningssängar. 2 badrum, en på övervåningen, en nere. Detta hus är om en scenisk 2 timmars bilresa från NYC, och ca 30 minuter från Albany. Prefekt för en weekendresa. På vintern gör närliggande Jiminy Peak och Catamount ett perfekt tillfälle att åka skidor eller snowboard. Huset har också en öppen spis, fullt utrustat kök och vardagsrum. Utanför finns en övre och nedre däck, perfekt för grillar och sommar kul. I närheten finns byar Chatham och Hudson, perfekt för antikviteter och utforska, med massor av bra ställen att äta. Möjliga sommaraktiviteter inkluderar kajakpaddling, fiske, vandring och golf. Bra för familjer som söker en avkopplande semester. Kom och njut av alla Hudson Valley har att erbjuda!

More than meets the eye!

We would definitely recommend this Lakeside house to anyone looking forward to some peace, quiet, and beautiful views. The house is fully equipped with everything that you could possibly need and we look forward to our next stay at camp Kinderhook!

A peaceful, beautiful stay on the lake

This was our fourth summer spending time at John and Regina's beautiful lake house. As our daughters have gotten older (now 5.5 and almost 9) they've learned to kayak and paddle board here. We love this house and will keep coming back as long as we can. Thanks again for a great stay :)

Beautiful weekend family stay!

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend with our two kids and their spouses, all in town for a family wedding. The cabin was beautiful and very spacious and very well stocked with all sorts of supplies! We would love to return for a longer visit in the summer and take advantage of the outdoor space! Reservation and check-in was very smooth and we thoroughly enjoyed the place!

Excellent stay

We’ve been to Camp Kinderhook three times and would absolutely go back for a fourth. The place is spacious, well decorated, and perfect for a relaxing long weekend. I think I caught up on three weeks worth of sleep!

Best lake house!

Such a beautiful home! My friends and I enjoyed our stay so much. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could need and the two decks are so nice to hang out on playing card games and watching the sunset. The kayaks and paddle board are also really fun. This was the second time staying at this home and we love it so much. The hosts were very accommodating and let us check in early and check out late allowing us to make the most of our stay. Definitely recommend this home and hope we get the opportunity to come again next year!

Wonderful cottage and lakeshore experience

Even better than we expected. A very clean and well-appointed cabin. We were a group of six- two couples and two college age children. Spacious for us all to be very comfortable. We grilled on the charcoal grill and cooked all our meals at home - wonderful kitchen. The outdoor decks and kayaks and paddle boards afforded nice outdoor activities.

House is beautiful and comfortable. Everything you could possibly need is available. On a beautiful lake in a beautiful area of NY Owners John And Regina are very responsive. 4 BR 2Bath. Outside decks Kayaks and paddle boards. Best deal.

Another wonderful weekend!

This is our second stay in camp kinderhook in 6 years! The house is still beautifully clean and kept up as the first stay. Such a wonderful spot to mellow out with friends and family. I am sure we will back again!

We love this house.

This is our third summer at John & Regina's lake house and we did ourselves a favor and stayed even longer this time. As in past years, the house is so well designed, comfortable and relaxing - the lake is beautiful and we spent SO much time on it this visit. We paddle-boarded, kayaked and swam a ton. Thank you again John & Regina for a wonderful stay.

Breakfast out on the deck, with a view of the lake

We had a lovely stay in this house and thoroughly enjoyed the location next to the lake, especially having breakfast on the deck. The house is beautifully decorated and very welcoming. However, if you are sensitive to smells, you might find the scent of moisture in the house to be a concern. It is most noticeable in the cellar but can be detected throughout the house. If this is not a significant issue for you, then this place is truly wonderful!

Vacay at the lake

We really enjoyed our stay at the Kinderhook Lake House. Initially, there was a misunderstanding about water access for swimming; we misunderstood and thought there was land to water access, but you have to take a boat/kayak/other out into the lake and swim from there or a small island, and from there the water is clean and refreshing. The owners were very sweet when we raised our concern about water access and helped us work through it. The house and view are awesome, and we had many enjoyable hours there.

Get away and relax

What a wonderful weekend we had at Kinderhook Lake. The water was too by low for our boat but we brought our kayak and enjoyed the calm quiet water. You need only to bring yourselves as everything you need is there. Spacious and beautiful surroundings will greet you. Thank you so much for sharing your perfect location with us.

Sweet spot on the lake

Super charming comfy spot on the lake. Fully outfitted for everything you need. Kayak, paddle board, sun hats, beach towels, bug spray, shade canopy, string lights, and also tons of dishes, cooking implements, dishtowels, etc. It's also super charming and cozy. Every corner of the house has a little vignette that's quaint but not corny: fishing lures, beehive, artist's palatte, oars, books, decor. we'll be back for sure.

Kinderhook lake

House is located on a small cove with easy access to the main lake. Slope from house to water is a bit steep but manageable. Decks are lovely with lots of space and great views. Grill on deck is charcoal so plan accordingly. House is charming, could have been a little cleaner in the kitchen area. Kitchen is well appointed The downstairs is a bit musty and could probably benefit from a dehumidifier. We made good use of the Kayaks and SUP’s and really enjoyed our time on the lake

Great Stay on Kinderhook Lake!

The house was fantastic. Honestly better than the pictures. Also one of the most well appointed short term rentals I've stayed in. If you needed it, it was there. If it wasnt, you should have packed it yourself. We temporarily misplaced the key to the house. John was incredibly responsive and had a spare sent over by the cleaning person. this is one of the few properties I've stayed in that didnt have a key pad lock which would elminate the possibility of losing the key, but this was also 100% our fault, so I cant really fault the owner. The lake is gorgeous, calm and secluded. Kayaks were a great amenity. the decks were a great place to hang out at all times of the day. The grill is charcoal, so be prepared if your plan on grilling. Overall great stay at a great property. would 100% book again.

Just Wonderful!

We are just winding down from another amazing family vacation at Camp Kinderhook. This was our first time in summer. (Winter was just as amazing).Each room with its own unique charm and its little intricate touches are so quant! The home is equip with anything you can imagine so we could enjoy our cozy lakeside vacation. The hosts were very accommodating and so nice! The lake is breathtaking. We all had so much fun, playing games, hanging in the kitchen and on the decks, taking the kayaks out on the lake, or just relaxing in the hammock. The kitchen/living room area, is just my favorite. Its so open, everything is at your fingertips. It is such a great room for everyone to gather- while preparing meals or cleaning up! Our last night went onto the lake to enjoy a beautiful sunset what an amazing time! We already can’t wait to make plans to come back to Camp Kinderhook! Andrea R.

Awesome Lake House

This house was prefect! We stayed with another couple, both of us with 8 year olds. The house was plenty big enough and would have still been comfortable with even more people. The living area was bright, open and nicely decorated. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could need. The cove the house sits on is off the main lake which was perfect for the kids to paddle board and kayak without concern of running into boaters. It was also perfectly situated for easy access to the main part of the lake where we enjoyed kayaking and fishing (my husband caught a LOT of fish!). We loved "One Tree Island" which provided a fun, shallow swimming area right in the middle of the lake. The lake was surprisingly warm for Memorial Day Weekend and not as crowed as we expected either. There are 2 decks off the house which were great for hanging out and we had use of several kayaks and paddle boards.The Main Street Cafe in Valatie was a great lunch spot -- large menu, big portions, good food and great prices. I would highly recommend this rental and we are already discussing plans to return! Thank you John and Regina for making everything so perfect!

An amazing retreat

This is our second summer in a row staying at John and Regina's wonderful home. Once again, the house and lake did not disappoint! Our girls, now 3 and almost 7, loved getting out on the lake and making stops at One Tree Island for swimming. Thank you again John and Regina - we'll be back next year. :)

We love the lake the mountains and the outdoors...I have rebuilt this house to recreate that old camp feel. one tv and movies for you and the kids.. no dishwasher old school everyone chips in. The main area is set up with a great open feel, so everyone can be together. cable and Wi-Fi

Usually there is no one on the lake during the week even in the summer, very quiet.... winters are outstanding.. skiing /snowboarding close enough to totally enjoy.
