Cozy Cabin

Great spot on the mountain. Easy ski in ski out and close to everything. The view and fireplace were our favorites!

Wonderful property that is located directly on Tyro. I will not hesitate to stay there again. The property owner went above and beyond to make sure everyone enjoyed the stay. We couldn’t have asked for better.

Small 1980s ski cottage

Cottage was fine for the price. We booked fairly last minute and opted for this place for Ski in/Out amenity, which didn’t work out. The pictures online made it look a little bigger, a bit nicer. We usually stay in Ski In/Out but this was our first time doing so on the East Coast. It’s Ski In/Out if there is natural snow, which in this warmer climate maybe tricky. Further up the slope where the snow machines were blowing is Ski In/Out. Nothing is really walkable and the resort with restaurants is a short drive away. Cottage needs some updates and could use a deep clean. We made the best of it with the wood burning fireplace, the biggest highlight. Basic cable and basic amenities. We checked out 2 days early with the weather and if we go back to Wintergreen, we would choose to stay further up the mountain and/or on the resort property.

Family weekend

The house was great. We rented this ski in ski out for convenience with the kids being able to come and go. Because there was no snow, we had to drive to the lodge. This would have been a great location if this slope had been open. The owner was great and we would stay again.

The location is perfect. Six of us stayed for three nights and had a blast. Close to the Wintergreen amenities and perfectly located to the slopes.

Great family cottage stay on slope w/ view

Great stay for 2 grandparents, 2 parents, and 2 kids. Cozy cottage feel, but plenty of room. back porch is feet from lower tyro slope. slopeside with nice view, quiet street.

Great unit w/mountain views directly on slopes

We had a delightful stay in this standalone cottage. It is perfect for hanging out with family and friends with a little space for everyone and all the thoughtful touches from the caring owners. Bernie was excellent about communicating in advance and during the stay to make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Mountain Getaway

We had a wonderful weekend at this lovely mountain home. Easy checkin and owner is quick to respond. Very clean and had everything we needed. Especially enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and great view! Lots of great hikes nearby! Hope to return soon!

Nice location

We enjoyed staying at Bernie's place. It was very conveniently located on the slopes and a wonderful place to retire to in the evening. Bernie was great about contacting us ahead of time to ensure we had all the info we needed. There was no need to contact him during as all went well. We'd return again.

We enjoyed our stay in the cottage and love the ski in ski out convenience. The communication with the property manager was excellent. We would absolutely rent this house again.

Great Ski In Ski Out

My Family really enjoyed staying in this home. It was the little things that made it really nice like the beds were so comfy. The view was great. The walkway to the home was easy getting in and out to our vehicles. Our skiers loved the easy access to the slope. Our last ski day we received 5 or more inches of fresh snow so that made our trip the best ever. We would definitely consider this rental again. Thanks to Bernie Martin for being the best with info and updates for our trip.

Ski in ski out

Beautiful house right on the ski hill. Huge deck. Private drive way. Seasoned fire wood for the the fire place was dry and easy to light. Very well furnished and very clean. Beds were comfortable. Hot water was very hot for the sore muscles after a day of skiing. Would stay here again next ski trip.

Great Family Get Away

The house was clean and cozy. Had there been snow, it is an Awesome location! Since there was limited snow on our visit it was just a short drive to the top to ski the open runs. Our host was excellent and checked in with us throughout our stay. We will return!

Incredible location and views

This very nicely situated house provided a comfortable and relaxing stay for a family of 4 with 2 young teenagers. The Mountain views and location is hard to beat in Wintergreen. The back deck over-looking Tyro (blue slope) defines the place. The property owner (Bernie) is very accommodating and helped make the stay more enjoyable.

Mountain Get-away

Beautiful home on the mountainside with wonderful views. Extremely clean and nicely arranged. Enjoyed gorgeous sunsets in the area, fall foliage and abundant wildlife. The wood-burning fireplace was a real treat. The host, Bernie, was very attentive and responsive. Looking forward to coming back in the future!

Perfect hiking getaway

Sweet little cabin tucked away on a north facing slope - it would be fun to watch skiers in the winter from the great deck! For us, it was quiet and the perfect size for our family of 5. My younger kids especially enjoyed the loft. Bernie was excellent with communicating things to do around Wintergreen and with the check-in/out process.

End of year girls trip!

This was my best girl friend along with 4th grade daughter and her friend with myself on our getaway. Beds, pillows and beds and kitchen were just a few of the most comfortable and available items. The deck gave picture perfect views and was very spacious-will be returning!

I was in wintergreen looking to purchase a property for renovation, but that property didn't work out, so I visited a friend who is a realtor, Peter Farley, who showed me 6 properties....as soon as I saw this house I was immediately charmed and made an offer on the spot....being away from the sounds of traffic, privacy and being directly on the slope, plus the styling of the house were the main factors
