Perfect location for an excellent holiday!
We were a family of four adults and two kids, 5 and 7 years, spending two weeks in this beautiful villa. The house is absolutely perfect for a family vacation.
The social areas outside were really nice with the lounge by the beach and dining area on the terrace. The house and the service from the personnel was just lovely. We have nothing to complain about. Absolutely nothing. Just the opposite. Max, Bidou and Abdu is so helpful, loving and caring. We are so thankful for getting to know them and without them our stay wouldn’t be the same. We can really recommend the chef Max, he cooked for us almost every night and we were happy every night.
The fact that there is no wifi in the house is not a problem, just another dimension of vacation. Although we walked to a hotel nearby, orders some drinks and used their free wifi. Easy access, just to the right by the beach.
The pool was ok for all ages. We were unlucky since there was some kind of problem with the heating so it was quite cold even though it was really hot in the air. We spent more time in the ocean, perfect beach for the kids.
There were only one thing that bothered us. There is a night club nearby playing loud music until 4 o’clock in the morning. Almost every night. The sound upstairs was so loud it felt like the bed was placed in the night club, on the dance floor. This meant that the children (who had their bedroom upstairs) woke up almost every night and slept in our bed downstairs. The adults trying to sleep upstairs… didn’t get much sleep… this is something I want others to be aware about so it doesn’t come as a surprise.
None of us speak French and it was only Max, the chef, who could speak a little English so we had our share of miscommunication and misunderstandings. It all worked out fine and we used google translate a lot. Don’t let the language hindering you to visit this villa in La Somone. With a good heart and a smile you come a long way.
We had the pleasure to actually meet the owner on site. Mr. Collard and his family was leaving the same day we arrived. That was for us really nice. Great introduction and a fantastic welcome. The communication with Mr. Collard has been great during the whole process. Quick response and valuable information. Very helpful and friendly. We really felt that he and everyone else did their best to make our holiday.
So book this villa and go! Lovely house, perfect location, great people and fantastic country!
