Station Lodge, en rymlig modern lodge i ägarnas trädgård. Utmärkta tågförbindelser till Cardiff centrum. Den har sin egen vackra privata trädgård och ingång och förbises inte. Lodge är mycket bekväma och mysiga. . En idealisk bas för att utforska South Wales-området eller bara besöka släktingar .. Med bara 15 min bilresa till den walisiska kusten, Porthcwl och Heritage Coast. En 5 min bilresa till McArthur Glen Retail Outlet Bridgend, och en halvtimmes bilresa / tågresa till Cardiff City Center, perfekt för shopping! Tjugofem minuters bilresa till Swansea. Park Slip Nature Reserve och Bryngarw Park har härliga landvandringar och bara 5 minuter bort! Med järnvägsstation och pub utanför dörren. Det har utmärkta tågförbindelser till den walisiska huvudstaden i Cardiff för shopping, sightseeing och teatrar. The Lodge har ett sovrum med dubbelsäng med egen balkong och sittgrupp, ett andra tvåbäddsrum, smakfullt inredda i hela. Bottenvåningen badrum med stor dusch. Ett rymligt öppet kök / vardagsrum med matbord, smart TV och lädersoffor. Ytterligare läs- / sittgrupp. Fullt utrustat kök med diskmaskin, tvättmaskin och kyl och frys. Privat trädgård med täckt uteplats och möbler. Det finns off-road parkering för upp till två bilar ... Bara en kort promenad till affärer.

Wir hatten eine gute Zeit in Tondu. Die lodge ist super ausgestattet und die Gastgeber hatten großen wert darauf gelegt dass alles vorhanden ist was man braucht. Sie waren auf immer für uns ansprechbar und haben Tips für die Umgebung gegeben.

Incredibly convenient to be so close to the station, this lovely home gave us a base to explore the shore, Cardiff, Brecon Beacons and more. The modern appliances made caring for the family easy, and we all slept like children in the comfortable beds.

Excellent Short Break

Lovely clean accommodation and well equipped with everything you need. Good communication, on hand if needed and the little extras were much appreciated. Location was handy for the M4, nearby supermarkets and train if you didn't want to drive. We enjoyed our three night break and managed to get around quite a bit to the coast and country park. Can thoroughly recommend a visit to Dyffryn Gardens (NT)

Lovely spot - hope to return for a leisure visit

Booked for a stay over for work. Really easy check in and communication was great and really friendly and helpful. Comfy bed, good kitchen, I felt like it would have been lovely if I wasn’t there for work!!!

I've never felt so much love and hospitality at a stay. Mrs. Ceri was an amazing host. Her home felt like home. We dreaded leaving and coming back to the States. I don't have enough words to describe how greatful we are to have had so much an amazing host. We can not wait to visit/ stay again. We are already missing are home away.

Schönes, geräumiges Haus mit Terrasse und Garten

Sehr schönes Haus mit viel Platz, überdachter Terrasse und schön bepflanztem Garten. Sehr sauber und perfekt ausgestattet. Es war alles da und Mrs. Price hat an wirklich alles gedacht . Viele Handtücher, Erstaustattung für Frühstück. Soar ein Bügeleisen. Sehr ruhig. Super für Ausflüge in alle Richtungen.

A real gem!

This is such a lovely property - we really enjoyed our time here. Beautifully kept, inside and out. Very comfortable and love the windows. Super convenient as it is a very short walk to the train platform. Also, a short drive to some amazing beaches. We would definitely stay again! Thanks for a great stay, wish we would've booked a longer time here!

Beautiful

Everything you could want. Lovely hosts. Accommodation was as described and had all you needed and more. Position was great for train to Cardiff. Really recommend for anyone wanting to visit this area. Garden a little sun trap even had breakfast outside.

A great base for visiting south wales. We had everything we needed. The property was very comfortable, spacious and clean with a lovely little garden. We hope to come and stay again when visiting family in the area.

Short stay

Lovely lodge

A very pleasant and cozy lodge that's well equipped. Lovely couple that run the lodge who were very friendly. There's some fantastic countryside within a few minutes drive. The only downsides where that there's a working man's club next door which can be a little noisy. And the train line also runs at the bottom of the garden (the clue's in the name) but they don't run late and are running quite slowly as they go past.

Catching up with old friends

We were in the area for a for a friend’s birthday party but decided to stay for a long weekend making the most of the beaches at Porthcawl and Ogmore. The property is very well appointed and finished to a high standard and served as a great base for the weekend. It has it’s own private garden and was very peaceful. One big benefit is being close the the railway station from which it’s only a 30 minute trip into Cardiff.

Everything you need and more

Property brilliant. Well equipped and clean. Could get there on public transport as station 5 mins away. Pubs and foodie places a short walk into town and bigger franchises at the deigner outlet which is 3 miles away. The Mumbles and west Wales less than an hour in the car and Cardiff the same on the train. Very easy. Wonderful.

A great lodge

We stayed at this lodge as a base for a local charity cycle race. It was very comfortable, clean and to a good standard having everything that we needed. I would happily recommend and stay there again.

We had a brilliant stay just wish we had longer time then the 3 nights. The hosts were very helpful and polite and on hand if you need them . The welcome pack was a very nice little touch. We would highly recommend this property and will be looking at returning in the near future.

Gepflegte Oase zur Erkundung von Südwales

Station Lodge ist ein geräumiges, sauberes und zweckmässig eingerichtetes Ferienhaus wo alles funktioniert: Warmwasser, Dusche, Beleuchtung, Internet und genügend Steckdosen in jedem Raum. Man fühlt sich gleich wie zuhause. Ceri und John, sind sehr aufmerksam aber bewusst zurückhaltend, so dass man seine Privatsphäre ungestört geniessen kann. Dies nicht nur im Haus, sondern auch auf der Terrasse mit einem kleinen "walled garden" und oben auf dem Balkon des Schlafzimmers, wohin morgens die Sonne scheint. Ja, es hat einen Club nebenan und einen Zug, welcher ab und zu von der zu Fuss nur 2' entfernten Bahnstation hinter dem Haus vorbei fährt, aber das sind alltägliche Geräusche die zum Leben gehören und nicht stören. Zu 99% dominiert ohnehin das fröhliche Vogelgezwitscher den "Outdoor-Sound". Der extra reservierte Parkplatz direkt vor dem Hauseingang und der in nur 8' zu Fuss (2' mit dem Auto) erreichbare Lidl runden das ganze Paket hervorragend ab. Der Standort bietet somit eine hervorragende Basis, um abends nach Ausflügen von Swansea und Gower (45'), den Brecon Beacons (50') oder von Porthcawl (20') und natürlich von Cardiff (30' - mit dem Zug 45' zur Central Station) zu entspannen und den Tag Revue passieren zu lassen. Auch gibt es mit dem Auto nur ein paar Minuten entfernte Möglichkeiten zur Verpflegung in Restaurants und Pubs. Bridgend selber bietet auch alle grossen Superstores (ASDA, Tesco, Sainsbury's) und natürlich das nur 5' entfernte Outletcenter zum Shoppen an!

A wonderful short stay!

We booked a last-minute short stay at the lodge and only wished we'd booked for longer. From the start of the booking process to checking out communication from the host was excellent. The Lodge itself was cozy and clean and had everything we needed. The welcome pack was a nice touch and the boys enjoyed the welsh cakes as much as they enjoyed watching the trains from the balcony. Would definitely stay aging when we're next in the area.
