Overall, we enjoyed our stay and really liked the location. The house worked well for our trip, but there are a couple of things future guests may want to be aware of.The house does get quite warm in the afternoons, and there is no air conditioning. Fans are provided, but if you're someone who prefers a cooler sleeping environment, the bedrooms can be uncomfortable. We found the master bedroom especially difficult for sleeping, as the spring mattress was very firm and not particularly comfortable for us.The cooking setup is also fairly basic. If you enjoy cooking most of your meals while traveling, keep in mind that you're working primarily with a hot plate and outdoor grill rather than a traditional stove and oven. We cooked quite a bit during our stay and were able to make it work.Overall, we had a nice time and enjoyed the property and area. Just a few things worth knowing depending on your preferences and how you plan to use the house.

For future guests, we do want to clarify that the home’s amenities are outlined in detail in our listing, including the cooking setup and the fact that the house does not have air conditioning. We provide fans throughout the home for warmer summer days, and the kitchen setup - including the outdoor BBQ - is shown and described so guests can determine whether it will suit their needs before booking. We appreciate the feedback regarding the mattress as well. Mattress comfort is, of course, quite personal, but we will keep your comments in mind. We’re happy that overall you enjoyed your stay and the beautiful Port Hood area.

With its white walls, white curtains, and white slipcovers, this charming cottage gives off a Nantucket meets Scandinavia vibe. It absence of frills or clutter and economy of space fairly begs the traveler to leave behind the noise and busyness of “real life” and simplify, simplify, simplify! While the cottage is compact, the ample deck adds significantly to the total living space. It is here that color makes an entrance in a burst of rainbow hued Adirondack chairs, a perfect perch from which to take in the sea air, view boats out on the water, or gaze up at a canopy of stars. Switch off your phone, pick up a good beach read, and exhale.
