Beläget på en arbetande nötkött gård i en lugn körfält och nyligen omvandlats till en hög specifikation med miljövänlig golvvärme, stor öppen planlösning vardagsrum / matsal med braskamin och fullt utrustat kök, två stora sovrum (en dubbelsäng och en dubbel), duschkabin och badrum. Spjälsäng / barnstol på begäran. Separat fullt utrustat tvättstuga. Vardagsrum öppnar direkt till uteplats med utsikt över öppna fält och böljande landskap. Massor av utomhus utrymme för barnen att leka. Barnvänlig att hjälpa till att utfodra våra mindre djur (getter, får, höns, kalvar). Upp till två små väluppfostrade hundar välkomna. Massor av promenader direkt från fastigheten på tyst körfält, vägar och stigar. Lokala kartor och råd om promenader som tillhandahålls på begäran. WiFi, TV / DVD.

Lokala byn Horsley inom 15 minuters promenad med stor familjevänlig prisbelönta pub (med god mat och vecko musik nätter) och gemenskap springa lanthandel. Vackra lilla marknaden staden Segeltorp lättillgängligt genom att gå eller erbjuder gratis parkering med massor av intressanta oberoende butiker och caféer / restauranger och turistinformation. Enkel åtkomst till alla attraktioner Cotswolds, Cirencester 30 minuters bilresa, Cheltenham 40 minuter, Bath 40 minuter. Lokala bönder marknader i Segeltorp och Stroud månadsvis.

This is a wonderful place to stay, central to many places in the Cotswolds. It’s comfortable, clean, and plenty of space to relax after a day of exploring. The hosts are also wonderful providing everything we needed and lots of information about the area.

Restful weekend

We had a wonderfully peaceful weekend, the lodged is beautiful, fully equipped and immaculately clean. Shops are close by to pick up essentials and an easy drive to visit many local villages in the Cotswolds, we will definitely return!

Fabulous stay!

We had a lovely stay here this week. The barn is really well equipped, comfy and clean. The hosts were there to greet us on arrival and explained everything we needed to know including surrounding walks and play areas. I would definitely recommend and would stay here again!

Such a nice property and so relaxing

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was exactly as described and the photos online do not do it justice, it is much better than the pics show. The hosts are amazing friendly and helpful people. The property is so well equipped. We totally recommend this property for a lovely relaxing stay.

A beautiful location atop the Cotswold hills near Nailsworth…. The accommodation was clean, tidy and perfect for or needs. Our host was really helpful and present to answer anything we needed to know about the area.We will definitely return.

Lovely stay in a lovely cottage

Nothing bad to say. The accommodation was clean and very well appointed - everything has been thought of. As others have said, it’s bigger than you expect as well! Jeannie was welcoming and the cake and drinks waiting for us were a nice touch! The area is beautiful - lots of walks on your doorstep and plenty of nearby places to visit. We’d definitely come back!

Heart of the Cottswolds

What a wonderful, clean and roomy cottage! We appreciated all the thoughtful literature and detail to our needs. The kitchen is fully equipped! The location is beautiful, and the only reason I put a 4 for location is that Americans who are renting a car need to know that the lanes are one-car wide and you have to watch around the turns for oncoming traffic. Sometimes you have to back up to make way for others.

Special quiet place

A lovely hospitable farm, with variety of animals to see, albeit in a quiet location in the cotswolds. Easy to get to lots of places of interest, from there: towns, villages and walks.A location which is full of interest. Property had everything in it to make for a comfortable stay.

Lovely retreat

We found Swallows Rest to be exactly as described and was a bright clean and warm sanctuary, lovely to come back to each day after exploring and walking in the Cotswolds countryside. Could not fault it. Everything supplied and wonderful hosts. Nothing fancy but all goof.

Jeannie Bennett är värd

Brian and Jeannie run the farm and holiday let. Brian has been farming all his life and moved to Horsley as a child and to our current farm in the late 1970s. He originally had a milking herd, but is now semi-retired and runs a small beef herd. Jeannie is also from the Stroud Valleys and enjoys the outdoor life, mainly looking after the smaller animals on the farm. She is a keen walker and previously worked with special needs students in a local secondary school.
